Tell Us About Yourself and What the DAB Means To You
Praying to be a part of a Community
Hi, My name is Sherry M - My husband and I moved from Tennessee to Georgia 3 1/2 years ago and it's been very lonely for us both. We spent the first year traveling back forth trying to fix-up and sell our home in TN. Started looking for home churches after that. Although we are in a church now we have nothing in common with anyone. We attend for the sermons and are on the sound team to have a purpose. 2014 we spent nearly the whole year traveling back and forth for various family members in critical conditions in three different hospitals and rehabs. We are now connoisseurs of hospital cafeterias and sleeping arrangements in ICU waiting rooms. Anyway, I miss my friends back home. I stumbled across DAB one day and started listening back in October or November I think... I listen everyday when I can...mostly in the late night when only me and Lucy (the dog) are in the house. We are in the age range of 49-50 (me, my husband, and the dog (in human years). I pray for people that call in for prayer and I want to call in, but then I hear others prayer needs and it's like, "I'm good!" ha ha So, thanks for DAB and God bless you all.

Hi Sherry:

My Mom has Alzheimer's but when I read your post about three different hospitals my heart went out to you. I am 47 and I am entering a different season of life for sure. Kids are grown and my parents need me more now. How things change!!

Welcome!!

Sherry, have you and your husband connected with a group for fellowship?

Hi, Chris! We are still in the same church, however we can't seem to call it "home" - if that makes any sense. It's like a stopover til we get where we belong. Long stopover! ha I am praying everyday for it to change or for the Lord to lead us to a place where we connected and loved - just, you know, accepted. We are active where we are now...jumping in whenever something is needed or going on. And the people are great...but we still feel like outsiders or perpetual visitors. Still praying, still hoping. Blooming where we are planted!! Thanks for asking and God bless!
