Shattered Glass
Shattered Glass
(By Margaret Long)

All of Earth's children have a home -
Some of stone, some of grass...
But I lived in a house of glass;
Content to let the world slide past.
Illusion mirrored on every side,
Reflected in self-righteous pride.

Then one day my soul looked back,
And I smashed my fist through the glass -
To wrap my bleeding hands around
A blood stained cross.

For Jesus died on Calvary,
To hold my soul and set me free.
No more to play a puppet's role,
Only Christ can make us whole!
