Reaction to the "WINDFARM TRAFFIC EVENT"

At last nights Windfarm “Traffic” event, I observed several different postures in the chat room. I saw sadness, anger, and hopelessness. Some entered into prayer immediately and some were ready to jump into physical action. Some said this issue can only be solved by God alone and someone thought it is hopeless and destined to continue forever. I had my own thoughts rolling through my head too, like being a “vigilantly superhero”!
Then I heard today’s (January 27, 2010) DAB podcast and commentary. I was educated by this quote from Brian . . . .
“We hear from God or a leader speaks into our lives things that resonate and we know at the deepest part of ourselves that it is the truth. It is even a word from God. We begin about that task of becoming free from or migrating to whatever the next season or assignment is in our lives. We’re excited about it. We formulate expectations about it. We then begin drawing up the plan about what it is going to look like, but it rarely looks that way. The path that God usually takes us on is the scenic route. We get very uncomfortable with that because we want it now. It is usually only through hindsight that we can see that, no, really, this is about a relationship with God. One of the things we say around here every year is the journey is the destination. This is about a relationship with God. He wants to show us things. He wants to teach us things. It is all about our sanctification. It is all about our becoming Christ-like. It is all about fellowship with him.”
Let’s think back to last night’s event again. I wonder how many of us were devising plans for ourselves, for Benji as the Exodus Cry leader and for Brian as our DAB leader? How many of us were devising a battle plan for God? With so many different postures and reactions, there has to be a flurry of pre-defined plans out there too!
So I am learning. I am learning to know where I am in my own journey with God and learning to let him guide me into the place and position that He finds fit. I’m taking a posture of humility, acknowledging publicly that I don’t have any pre-set expectations. I am simply in fellowship with Jesus and available for the call to His service.

I also am moved by how sobering this is, how deep it runs, and I am left with a somber attitude towards it all. The perspective of setting the captives free and ending human slavery - one person at a time. I am moved by the emphasis of the power of prayer in going forward in this effort. The impulse is to charge ahead with great passion and vigor, but I am reminded of the children of Israel, who were only successful if they sought God's face first, waited on the Lord, on the pillar of smoke to move before they did, and how small armies defeated multitudes because they sought the face of God before acting. The companion to this is the action that Exodus Cry is doing - going into the areas, rescuing, and housing them. There is the social reformation arm. this seems to be rounded approach where God puts people where they need to be to make things happen.
i was very impressed and honored to be a part of it all.

OK l, so I want to add one more thing. sorry that this is all broken up but there is no edit button.
We need to pray for the perpetrators of this injustice, for an awakening. We need to pray that this industry is destroyed from the inside out. We need to pray that their hearts are turned to Christ, that their eyes are opened to what they are doing, that they repent, and that the walls of this demonic Jericho will come tumbling down from the inside out. Even starting with the heart of one,just one.

To live in a country with so many cultures, I think, there are lot of challenges. That is why the words of Brian are so true. We have to encourage one another to let God speak to us and to lead us, meaning me, myself. I have to pray and ask to be lead into all truths. I have to plead before him to remove all the evil which is done on earth.
Yes Deb I think so too that God puts us where we need to make things happen in those days and in our days too. Mh I never wanted to do what I do today.............and where did it get me? Close to Jesus

I like Deb would like to pray for the perpetrators of this industry. In addition, those women, andnfamilies as a whole, and parents who show ablind eye and sell their children. I believe that men need to continue to rise up and ask for help for healing who feel they need this industry, yet more importanly I pray for a more wholelistic approach dealing with mothers who sell their children and that they too would rise up and take responsibilty for their families as well as the men who are head of each household to pray and come to God for direction so the selling of thier children will not be sold, but undergo the plan God has for them. This is a big problem and the perpetrators are not the only source of this. Lets pray and lift up all angles. I hope that made sense. In DAB love, John (Yuahan)
