Can one search the forum?

This is both a question and a suggestion depending on the answer to the question.
Is it possible to search the forum for a old post? I heard one of the prayer requests on today's podcast and actually remember reading his post. I want to give him some encouragement, but cannot find his post.
If searching is not possible, I suggest that the feature be added. It is available on another forum I am a member of.

The search bar is in the footer (bottom) of every page.

I either don't understand how to use that search bar or it doesn't search posts in the forum.
I'm trying to locate a specific post that was made a few days/weeks ago. If I search for the word "marriage" it only returns one article written by you in 2008.
Is there a way to search for members posts or for posts with certain words in them?

Yeah, I think Dave is right. The search field seems to only prefer Brian's articles on other parts of the web site, not the forums. I did a few test runs and never got a result from the forums.

I too tried to search the forums so I could update a prayer request I put on some time ago but it won't come up. I even tried scrolling through page by page but it is cumbersome and often redirected to the first page...couldn't seem to get far. A search option specifically for the forums would be very helpful.
