Need Encouragement?

Patience
I'm wondering if anyone has ever known that God was leading you in a certain direction but that direction just seems to make no sense because looking at the situtation it just seems like the impossible path. But you know with all your heart thats the way you have to go. . . . if you have, can you please give me some encouragement and prayer?
God Bless!!

Kel, one real strange aspect of this is that the "results" may appear to be a disaster from the world's POV. Not real encouraging, heh? Well, it is what it is. I love this from Chambers, utmost 5/8:

"Patience is more than endurance. A saint's life is in the hands of God like a bow and arrow in the hands of an archer. God is aiming at something the saint cannot see, and He stretches and strains, and every now and again the saint says - "I cannot stand any more." God does not heed, He goes on stretching till His purpose is in sight, then He lets fly."

He doesn't always make it comfortable, but his goal is for you to fly and He is completely committed to getting you in that condition. The world does not know Him.

"The real meaning of eternal life is a life that can face anything it has to face without wavering. If we take this view, life becomes one great romance, a glorious opportunity for seeing marvellous things all the time. God is disciplining us to get us into this central place of power."

Without the romance of being with Him every day, I don't know how you step out like that. The world would call it insanity.

There is a really interesting thread here about following God:

"And if your 20 years of doing what you think of now as a mistake - created that in you, I don't think it was a mistake."

The point is, what we think He is doing, is not likely what He is doing. So, you have to be in communion with Him and ask Him and obey.

One time I thought God was building a community and we sunk tons of money, sweat, and tears into building it. It collapsed in our faces and went to others. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Walk with Him.

Kelly,

I think you and Rain might have some things very much in common in your struggles. I would second Ray's recommendation to check out the thread-link he's posted :-)

I am praying, both with her and now with you, too...
