Need Encouragement?

Need a little encouragement to get caught up...

I am ashamed to say that I have fallen way behind on my DAB episodes. Today is the 23 of June and I am about 11 days behind. I can't seem to get caught up! I could name all sorts of excuses, but when it comes down to it, I haven't been putting God first and that is going to change today. I've been blessed with the opportunity to get caught up as my daughter is at camp all week and I'm a teacher so I have the summer off. So, right now, I'm parked at Barnes and Noble with my headphones, bible, and journal and I'm determined to listen to about three DAB episodes a day until I get caught up. Any prayers of encouragement would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much everyone!

Lord, please draw Jenna's heart deeply after Yours, so much so that she doesn't even have to "try to catch up" but rather she will await her times with you with anticipation. Help her to slow down and rather then crossing episodes off her list like a chore done, to really sink into each one as a rendevous with You, to listen for that "one thing" that is Your whisper into her ear, to wait with baited breath for a sense of your presence, the God who is there WITH her, around her, enfolding her. Lord, sometimes it helps me to just picture being a candle wick, and inviting the flame of Your presence to linger here. Whatever helps her heart to see the truth of Your presence with beauty and longing and joy.... give her what she needs. Let this be an encounter week for Jenna. In Your name, O Jesus, we long for You. Amen.

Amen Lord to Kelly's prayer, its very interesting that at this very time Pastor Dale just did a really nice teaching on the Mary and Martha portion of scripture 2 parts maybe 6/6 & 6/13 just thought this might be beneficial to you, I like staying in tune with the NewSong Churches Brian is a part of as they follow the same scriptures we are reading.... God Bless and take your time, it might not even be necessary to 'catch-up' so to speak as it is so wonderful to be with Him in the measure we currently can....

Kelly, you are so right. It's not about checking things off my to-do list... Thank you for reminding me that my time with God is precious and it truly is something that I look forward to each day. I really needed to hear that.

Jenaa thats because I beleive that links will be disabled as these forums are scrubbed before posted or that was my understanding so the link really is listed slightly cyrptic.... so if you type lets see if it works for real... if not make http:// [as normal with] 'new-song' [replace the dot in front of com] and the rest as is.... Hope this Helps I found tons of teaching that is right in step with the DAB as they all appear to be following along in the same place in the word, so more teaching I can get the more my faith gets built up, the bolder I become as who I am in christ, and so the light can shine, for God's Glory..... This has saved my medeocure life by helping me lose the fear and speak the word in ordinary life situaions..... Love it.... I am so gratefule for DAB and all its exposed me to...

Rick, I feel silly now. I just realized that you had spelled out "dot com". hahaha! I love how you are working to lose fear of speaking the Word in ordinary life situations. That is something I've been trying to do more as well. Way to go!

You can go to the website John....and then this page is a link from the website. You can click on the message and listen right on that page. I hope this helps you.
