Need Encouragement?

From down to laughing
Just had a wonderful experience and thought I would share it here. So I've been under a lot of stress lately with our financial year end coming up at work and targets, targets, targets piling up around me. Just pulling my hair out and spending time quietly praying at my desk for peace and calm. So I decided to add an old DAB to my playlist of background music. And it comes on and Brian says he's back in Tenessee and sitting down to a nice steaming hot cup of windfarm coffee and a wave of peace comes in and I just start laughing. I don't know why, but something about hearing those words. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible... it just starts calming me down. I guess I listen to it so much that I associate the very beginnings of it with calmness. Amazing.

Thanks Brian, thanks DAB team, thanks fellow DAB listeners.
God Bless,
John

I can completely relate to what you're saying here John! I know exactly that "peace' you're talking about. Hearing Brian's voice, drinking coffee, and reading our Lord's word. It doesn't get much better than that. When everything else in life seems crazy and stressful, the Word is there to put it all in perspective. And also the fact that Brian's voice is so soothing... haha! Praise God for Brian and the dab!

Me too John and Jenna, I can relate too. It really doesn't get much better than that, and then Jill reads and we realize, it's community. Jill and Brian model community so well. She backs him and up and he is there for her. God has led, counseled, showed the way of understanding to Brian through His word and now we are on the journey too. The deeper we get into His Word, the more peace passes over us...what a blessing to share it together. Loneliness could overwhelm me, but God's word breathed through this community keeps me close to Him, hearing His voice...where we find peace. Yahweh is the Everlasting God, giving strength to the weary and we renew our strength through Him. Amen..

I'm also in the middle of the Hope of Prayer sessions. They're very good!
