Praise

a student
Some of you have prayed for my students this year. Thank you. Praise be to God who
caused Dominic to decide that he didn't want to get in trouble anymore. He has been
an exemplary student since he made this decision...he told me about this decision a couple
days ago, and I can only give credit to the H. Spirit for penetrating Dominic's life.

Ken:
I praise God with you for all His blessings on your work life.
Could I ask you what and where do you teach?

Very cool! Lord, please hang onto this young man in a special way because he has a soft heart.

Estrellita - I teach 3rd grade in Alaska. My wife teaches health here as well.

Kelley - You asked in another thread how Leyvon is doing....he was suspended yesterday for many threats
against other kids. It seems that the more I pray for this child, the more oppostion there is. I feel
very much in a battle, and I am tired.

That is such a neat age, third graders are very unique. I'm currently teaching English to students from transition to 11th grade (no 12th here), it's a different school in a way: All grades mix each other in the classrooms, it’s personal and integral education with a flexible calendar therefore we get "interesting" cases from other schools, some are rrrrreeeeally challenging, some aren't, anyway when I see the change in them, I praise the LORD. 99% of them are away from God which makes it a challenging job for me as a Christ witness although I try to "show" Him more than "tell" about Him.
According to the prayer from Hope of Prayer (Windfarm file) I bring the Kingdom of God to operate in my classroom every morning and it really brings peace and harmony, I highly recommend you to work your own short version of it, because you’re right: the battle is evident and tough.
One day when I was totally discouraged and ready to throw the towel, a good friend of mine wrote something that helped a lot: (I want to pass it onto you, for encouragement)
“Your job sounds challenging, but rewarding. You are making a difference - a positive difference - in those people’s lives. You may not see it as their good side may not come out until after they've left your teachings, but when it does, you will have been a part of it!”
