Feeling Fortunate For Many Reasons
I have felt God shining in my life and I have been keeping up a steady prayer regimen. The various things I have prayed for have come true:

(1) My Aunt, twice, was expected to die in the hospital during her bout with a rare stomach cancer. Just five or six years ago she underwent chemotherapy for throat cancer. My good friend and I prayed for intercession and with firm belief my Aunt recovered, and I am very grateful.

(2) My friend, who is not a Christian, literally spent the last several months only being able to eat one meal a day consisting of Chinese Dumplings or just boiled potatoes (he could not afford the cooking oil to even fry his potatoes). Now, he received his scholarship from the government and is able to eat healthy again and continue his education that means much to him.

(3) I was short $900 at the start of the month. However, with diligent prayer and the help of my Christian friend, I was given $800 by my friend and am able to pay for college and I expect to get scholarships before January 1st.

Although I still have not been able to pay this month's rent, I am confident that God will come through. The money will come at some point, through the scholarship I may receive.

I will be able to pay my money for college and after this semester I am allowed to take one year off to get myself financially together; if I would not have been able to pay I would have been dropped from the University and would have permanently been in a bad position. I am fortunate.

(3) My other friend who suffered a heart attack and is not a believer nearly died several months ago; I did ask for prayer here and you helped deliver him from death's door.

I will continue my prayers for everyone and continue listening to DAB and praying diligently.

I feel my dedication to prayer and to Christian living is exactly the reason why I have made it so far in the face of adversity.

I also accept that even if things do not work out as I expected they will work out for the best at the end.

It is said in Matthew 6:

" 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. "

I will continue to not worry but rather will proceed with Faith that God is bringing me down the road that He wants because I desire to do what He wants, and if I can stand firm on my half of the bargain, things will work out.

We need only to learn from our hardships and keep our Faith alive, I think.

Notice "for a little while" in this passage:

1Pet1:6
6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

I praise my LORD with you for the outcome of so many difficult situations.

I really loved reading the concrete ways you see God working in your life. I also have had several financial miracles in the last month. I didn't know where I was going to get work in November and I ended up having my most profitable month ever. I did have to do the footwork just like you seem to be doing with your scholarship. I'd like to agree with you in prayer on this one...
Dear Lord, show your amazing love and glory to my sister. Lord please continue to affirm her dependence and trust in you in all things. Lord I thank you for an outpouring of finances for her to pay all her bills for school as well as have a reserve. Dear Lord we thank you for our dependency on you in all things. We particularly thank you for the full love in our hearts for You that you have deposited. In honor to you Jesus amen.

Your thankfulness is truly inspiring. It is so easy to forget all that God has done for us. God is great!

I just used Matthew 6:26 in my testimony...Isn't it great how God works?
