Thank you so much. It's such a comfort to know others are praying.

Davidwayne is right, long distance relationships are very difficult. I have had long distance relationships, one after another, England, Bali, California, Australia, and now Tom, in Canada who is definitely a "keeper" if we decide to make it permanent at some point, he's an amazing man of God... but my point is that I think I gravitate toward long distance because I long for love and companionship, but am frightened of letting someone in my real life, after being so hurt through my divorce. I guess that is the question I would ask you. Why are you choosing to love from a distance? We both need to talk to God about that a lot! Ya know? anyway, praying for you, for the hurt you feel, and for whatever is driving a "love from a distance" urge in you.

It's not so much a matter of going for the long distance relationship for me. It's a matter of, completely without trying, finding someone who has loved and accepted me for who I am, medical issues, disibilities, and everything. Because of that, I never really expected to fall in love, let alone marry, at all. For the most part, God has always smiled on our relationship, and we spent a month in person in the states getting to know each other face to face. We clicked from the start, as good friends, than as sweethearts, and we're still friends now.. I thought, we both thought this was meant to be.
Weather it still is or not, I guess God will reveal in his own time. I'm scared of trying again down the road with him since this has happened twice now, but I'm more than willing to try if I know for sure it's God's will.
Thanks for your prayers and comments.

Okay, I think I get what you are saying. You seem like a gentle warm person who gives her whole heart. Love finds a way to give itself, and the love you hold will be given and God will show you where, and guard you through your curent heart ache. Praying for that for you, Ana.

Thank you Kelley. In truth, I do feel like I've given all I've had to give to this relationship. I don't understand why things happened the way they did, but I know God knows and has a plan. Thank you so much for your prayers. It really means a lot to me.

Ana Jacob,

I am so sorry to hear about your break up. I had a long distance relationship that was off an on for many years, and it took such a toll on my heart. So I know how you feel...

I'm a day behind in the DAB readings, but what I heard/read this morning in Proverbs came to me as I was reading your post. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 2:5-6)

I'll be praying for you sweetie!

Jenna

Oh, wow! For a couple of years now I've relied so much on that verse. And when I heard it last night it was another reminder that God is faithful, and lovingly in control. Those words have gotten me through a number of rough patches in life. Thank you for bringing that promise to mind again.
Thank you for your prayers, and God bless you!
