Romans 6
Ok so since last year, the last few months I had a weird experience. I was listening to Gabriel Swaggart preaching about this verse and how he did not understand it, I did'nt bother going to read what chapter he was talking about thought it was just a phase he had to get through, then I have a young pastor who collects products from me at work who started sharing with me about Sin vs the Works of the Flesh and that they are not the same. Then at our bible school one of our students given the opportunity to share taught us on the same principle. This all happened in a matter of three months. Yes I know God is trying to tell me something. I know that, BUT you read Romans 6 examine your life and tell me what you think? I am praying about it that the Lord will open this Word to me so I can understand what do they mean when I know for a fact that it is happening. So I have made you curious go read it?

Hi Sharlene, In verse 1 what Paul is asking is that if God has shown us grace which is the freely given unmmerited favor and love of God: then should we keep on sinning to get more, the answer is no.

Yes I understand that, we cannot misuse the Grace. Further in that chapter Paul says that if you sin you are not a child of God. What is sin?
Looking up the word sin you find that it says that sin is 'missing the mark' SO missing the mark to me is not walking in obedience to what God has called you to do. IT is NOT works of the flesh.
This is a lot deeper. In Gal 5:19 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness. This is the Works of the flesh not sin. Sin is missing the Mark. Maybe IT is easy to me to not do the works of the flesh, it is discipline and can be done or else God would not ask us to do it. This is just something to prickle the brain and to meditate on.
My reason for asking is that I find alot of people say I am a sinner. Oh but you are a good person, yes but I don't go to church- - - that does not make you a sinner. It just takes you out of fellowship with Christians. People are making Christianity difficult and it is not at all. The Lord revealing truth in the Word and it gets me all excited.
Anyway God Bless
