Need Encouragement?

Ever wonder about your salvation?
Crazy Love - p88

"I'm NOT saying that when you mess up, it means you were never really a genuine Christian in the first place. If that were true, no one could follow Christ.

The distinction is perfection (which none will attain on this earth) and a posture of obedience and surrender, where a person perpetually moves toward Christ. To call someone a Christian simply because he does some Christian-y things is giving false comfort to the unsaved. But to declare anyone who sins "unsaved" is to deny the reality and truth of God's grace."

I find this book so encouraging. Chan does a great job getting the reader to examine his heart which we need to do daily.

Going through the book as well. This is my second time and plan on giving it some real attention this time.

Ya, living life with out the security of grace would be unbearable. Going around wondering if what you did on Tuesday was enough to put you on the outs with God. Or the emotional drain of thinking you're in one day and out the next. Just think about today's reading of the sacrifices. As believers we are called to enter the rest and peace that life with Jesus offers. Grace is where that rest and peace comes from. We owe HIM more than we can imagine.

BE careful when reading the bible. Remember when Jesus said that only children can be welcome in his father's house. We must go behind words, we must live them. Learning the bible like we learn algebra is not the right way. A part of you must feel by instinct what you're doing. Quoting the holly bible is good, but being feel by the holly spirit is the key. Jesus came to us to feel our pain and to tell us that he understand who we are. Live a good live on top of your studying is the way to really learn, like being and apprentice. Man and woman of God are not scholars, they are people who lives in the field.

Thank you, Robert, for your encouraging words to "live" the Word. Yes, that is very, very important.

I wrote the entry from "Crazy Love" to encourage those who are sad because they have failed at times. Sometimes people fail and then they fail again in thinking there is no hope. With the love of Jesus, there is always hope.

Psalm 130:7
Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.

I think there might even be hope for some who are scholarly.
