I am really struggling with my pastor and the way he treats his staff. I belong to a mega church. The staff of the church is over 80. Lay-offs and firings are routine. Turn over is huge. The pastor micro manages and has complete control in all areas. If a staff member's personality does not agree with the pastors, it is a matter of time before they are fired. It is heartbreaking for me to see how people are treated. Of course the congregation does not see the backroom goings on because the pastors image is priority and guarded very carefully. The pastor has been given the gift of teaching and does a great job from the pulpit. Money is being allocated to areas where the pastor's visibility (through media) is enhanced while work on the ground is suffering. My husband is a staff member. I am angry and saddened. I don't know how to pray in this situation.

Abby relationships with other people is so important and I will pray for your church. One never knows what really goes on in the Pastors heart and maybe lots of other people in the congregation feel like you. Thanks for sharing this with us because it is important for us to pray for our leaders. Lord Jesus you know each heart of the congregation and my prayer is that you reveal to Abby of how to pray and that you will send her prayer partners who will intercede for the church. Holy Spirit we invite you to work in each of their hearts, minds and will.
