LONG WALK 2011 Stories

I drove to Earls Park IN to see a wind farm...why? no idea...As I began to contemplate the idea of the long walk, I asked God...its your day, how about you choose the place.He put a wind farm in my mind. My response? Really God?? I was thinking of some place with water!...2 days later our paper ran a front page article about wind farms, yesterday my clock radio woke me up to a story about wind farms..still not understanding, I chose to go in obedience.It was a 2 hour drive to a part of the state I had never visted or even heard about. It was so beautiful & absolutely serene. Near utter silence but for the wind through the corn, birds singing & crikets chirping. The best view was from a cemetary & the 1st thing you see is a 15-20' crucifix...it was beautiful but I continued to ask why here. As I looked around the serenity of the place, I was overwhelmed with the crosses..everywhere crosses..."look around & I am here" How could I not sense His presence?..I began to weep..in the stillness, in the quiet I know that your are God...why the wind farm?..all I know is that I have never experienced that kind of quiet before nor the sense that I was exactly where God wanted US to be...
