Praise

Praise God for "Coincidences"
I am a long time member of this community,
and while I am a retired pastor and a devout Christian,
many of you know that I believe all Truth is of God
and that we can grow in our own faith through the insights of those of other faiths.
I have especially been enriched in recent years by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh
and the music of Snatam Kaur and other Spirit Voyage people.
(I know others will still disagree with me;
that's OK, and that's not the point of this posting)
In light of all this,
I have for some time been wanting to attend Spirit Fest in Wayanesboro, PA, Sept. 16-18.
However, there were many obstacles to that ever happening,
and I didn't seriously think I would be going.
For one thing, our daughter's wedding had originally been planned for that weekend.
For another thing, there was no way I could afford to go -
I live entirely on Social Secuirty and my Pension,
and we have a lot of debts, including a lot of family medical bills.
However, a number of things have now happened.
First, our daughter's wedding had to be rescheduled.
Second, LAST NIGHT I wrote to Spirit Voyage explaining my situation,
and asking if there were any funds available to enable me to attend.
Now, here's where it get's interesting.
THIS MORNING, Spirit Voyage received a phone call from a past participant in Spirit Fest
who wanted to make an anonymous donation to enable someone else to attend who would otherwise not be able to go.
And LATER TODAY I received an email from SpiritVoyage inviting me to be this year's recipient of this fund and to attend as a GUEST!!
I was absolutely floored by this sudden and unexpected turn of events.
But I am also THRILLED, and know that this really is a "God thing,"
and that apparently I really am suposed to be there!
That funds would suddenly become available the very next day after writing to inquire -
thank God for "coincidences"!
Pray that God will use this even to help me grow in body, mind, and spirit.
