Some Comments:
Not quite done with the whole first reading, just wanted to say that being willing to let go of things that are not of, or seperate us from Gods will is sometimes hard to do. Lord as we work throught this book help us to let go of what hinders us from being closer to you and keeps sin in our lives. In Jesus name...Amen. By John Smith

Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for sending Jesus
to die on the cross for my sins. I acknowledge that
I have sinned and that I cannot save myself. I believe
that Jesus came to give me eternal and spiritual life,
and by faith I now choose to receive You into my life
as my Lord and my Savior. By the power of Your
indwelling presence, enable me to be the person You
created me to be. I pray that You would grant me
repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, so
that I can experience my new identity and freedom
in Christ and be transformed by the renewing of my
mind. In Jesus’ precious name I pray.
Amen.

It's a take on the sinners prayer for someone who just decided to follow Jesus. The way I would think it would apply to us would be as a reaffirmation. Outside of that I am not a real fan of formulaic prayer except when done as a group to strengthen ties and as a witness to those who don't know The Lord who may be looking in at the time. In other words by making a public solidarity statement in mass for the benefit of strengthening bonds of the Saints and to witness.

I can say that having the scriptures that outline what God says we are and what the author referes to as statements are good scriptures to consistantly remind me of who I am in Christ. I need to get back into doing this daily. Being reminded of this will help me regain any confidence lost of the power that is in me..Christ Jesus !!!
