update on the blessings: OK, so as I came home on thursday, Henry had texted me to let me know what he and his brother-in-law had done on the property that day and I had a spare burrito (don't laugh) so I asked if I could just drop it off if he was hungry - which I did (get home at 10pm at night from work) - and Henry was crying - he was so grateful for having 'something to do' (working on my place) and a little spare cash and more importantly a new friend in Christ. I showed him a few places where he could put in his application for a job - hopefully, they call him and am praying for this.

I asked Henry if he threw the football over to my place to strike up a conversation with me and he said 'no, it just went over the fence' and then I asked him why he asked if there was work he could do for me - he said he did not know why he asked me that, it just 'came to him and kinda surprised him too when the words came out of his mouth.'

Since i had prayed that morning for help it didn't surprise me at all. Love being in center of the flow of the spirit. The whisper of God's voice, the angels that make footballs fall into yards of the believers. God is Great.

I hope my DAB family is not getting tired of this praise report - but it just keeps getting better!
So, I had breakfast with Henry and his brother in law Gilbert and Henry's sister Maria and her daughter Jackie - turns out they too had a setback with foreclosure and she is living in the next town. So, it was as though she and I had known each other forever. For Halloween - I made Chili for the gang at work so I also made an extra pot for Henry and his grandmother who had a stroke and grandfather who is 96 years old. Blessings! Because of Gods grace, I have been able to be a true Christian to these people. And, it is not them that is blessed - it is me that is blessed. I have new friends and family - I am able to serve others with my gifts that God gave me. I love 'swimming' in the happiness spirit. I know how God feels when he gives his children gifts = I think when his children are happy, it makes him happy too. Praise Jesus!

This is a feeling I have loved above all others. To swim in the Sprit. Always happens when giving of yourself unconditionally. It is so true that is is more blessed to give than receive. The Word of Jesus keeps on proving itself time and again. So happy for you Susan. Sometimes God gives just because He loves to give and even more so when we ask without ulterior motives.

Jake - kind words, but I think the AWESomE is for Christ - he and his angels caused the football to land in my yard. lol.
I sure appreciate all of my DAB family here. Thanks for letting me share this journey. Walking in Christs path and loving my fellow man in the way He would sometimes comes easy, sometimes not. Blessings to all of you this morning!

hello my DAB family - praying for you all this holiday season and in gratitude for my friends here - David Wayne, et al. Update to 'Henry' and the family - well, it truly seems that God knows what he is doing. along this journey, I think I am going to write a book and call it 'but for a prayer and a football'- two souls collide. What comes to mind is what Jesus said to John and Mary at the foot of the cross - 'son, behold your mother; mother, behold your son'. It seems that even at the end Jesus was letting us know that we are to fulfill those roles in each others lives. As Christians, we are to look out for each other. Fast forward there were issues with Henry staying with his grandparents - he was not on the lease, and the landlord took umbrance to his being there and has 'evicted' the grandparents. Merry Christmas. Since I have a lot of property, I invited Henry to stay in a trailer on the property so his grandparents would not be kicked out and he can still take care of them as he would be close. I wrote a letter to the landlord to that effect. However, no such luck. Grandparents found another house up the street that they will be moving to, and Henry is going to be moving in and staying on my property. Since I am gone 12 hours 5 days a week, it is a blessing to have another person here - especially as my 'kids' cinnamon and emma just adore him. Our 'relationship' has evolved from respectful friends to an adjunct family! His sister and brother in law are comfortable just coming over and hanging out. Henry has been so helpful to me in 'doing the heavy lifting' and taking care of things that i can't do anymore - i feel like a flower that is blooming. Thank you Jesus for bringing someone into my life that is in desparate need of my gifts - and who I was in need of as well. You are truly an awesome God.
