Getting to know Him

I've been a child of God for most of my life. He comforted me when I was little and has been a true Father to me since then. When I got older, young adult/18-20's, I went my own way but He never really left me. He just waited for me to sort myself out and turn around. After being divorced my my, now athiest, ex-hubby, I did turn back. It's awesome to be with someone who doesn't make you feel you have to be something you aren't and tells you that you are so much more. Someone worthy of faith and love and devotion. Someone who will do for my daughter what He did for me. Anyeay, I felt it was time to FINALLY read my Bible all the way though...But I tend to overdo things and soon burned out. I decided to buy and ipod nano and found the DAB and you guys. Now, I'm paced and hearing the word. I'm getting to know my Father. I didn't realized how much like a kid I was still in that way. I knew just the surface of Him. I like Brian's comments and news too. I listen while working nights for a bank and it makes the time just fly. I've downloaded from the beginning of the year and listen to several every night. I'm getting to "know everyone" as I go and thought it waa time I reached out to ya'll too. God's blessing to you all. This is Misty in Louisiana saying hello and getting back to work....hehe, oh well, at least I've been blessed with this job since 2008 so I better get back to it!

Welcome to the family Misty. I too listen to my daily podcast at work...bright and early at 5:30 am. Puts the workday in perspective. I pray you will be blessed by those you meet here and your time in the Word. :) He promises it won't return void :)
