FYI...Please pass along if you know people who may be interested in a National park like job and setting. I have been listening to DAB for several years now. I know there are a lot of prayer calls are about permanent "good" jobs. We recently purchased a fishing lodge in a VERY nice prime part of southern Alaska (Kenai Peninsula, Cooper Landing) and it is on a road vs. fly-in. This is a "fun" type filler summer job vs. traditional good job but I thought I would post anyway for those that like the outdoors & fishing. We have a no smoking policy, background check & drug testing policy so it has been MUCH harder to hire people. There are rental cabins, store and restaurant (will have beer and wine, fyi for those that object). Before the kids working there were party type so we changing that and have quite a few "older" people hired now too. It is like a national park job with minimum wage pay. People don't work there for the pay: Fishing, rafting, hiking, bears, moose. Room and board is $16/day in basically a "shack" or tent shared with another person (who may be your friend you bring up to work with you!). It is a couple miles away from the Russian River which is the best road accessible fishing available. People come from the EU to fish there. We need your prayers that it is a success as our life savings are at stake.
