New Job!
So I had been looking for a job for about 6 to 7 months, in april I interviewed for this nonprofit job as a drug and alcohol prevention facilitator. The job seemed perfect because the values and mission of the company matched up with mine, it would provide a flexible schedule which was great because I'm in grad school, and it would be more aligned with my field of study (counseling). My interview went great and I was told that I was at the top of the employers list. The catch however was that the company wasn't prepared to hire a new staff member till June.

I can some times be impatient and of course full of pride so my first reaction was to be all sorts of irritated, but after I thought/ prayed/ and got some feedback, I decided to do two (potentially risky) things. The first thing I did was secured the position. I asked the company if there was a way I could formally accept the position so I could have some surety that I would have a job and so that they didn't have to worry about going through the interview process again. The next thing I did was I decided to wait.

At first I was really nervous because even though I am an optimist I knew my bills wouldn't get paid magically. But the crazy thing is it all worked out I picked up random part time hours at the retail store I had been working at, I worked catering jobs, house sat for people who went on vacation, helped teach art classes, and ran subpoenas for a lawyer I know. and I never had a late bill!!

anyways this is my first week on the job and I am a little shell shot I just can't believe it! but praise God cause it all worked out!!

That's so encouraging and i'm so glad for you Marion! i am looking for a job as an English teacher, but since I have nearly zero experience that seems hard to find. I had a part-time teaching job for a while but that was over. I almost begin to think if I should go back to my admin. assistant jobs. But it's good to hear you waited and God provides for you. And you are happy in your job now and their values and missions match with yours. Very encouraging and thanks for sharing!

That's a great story Marion!Praise God eh?!?
God has done a similar thing for me too..He's a Good God.
I have just finished my first week in my new position. I have been waiting since about this time last year, but God gave me a job right next door to the position I wanted, then I waited...but of course He came through...All praise to our Lord!
