Define it for me first. What are you seeking? Yes, I need it too but I also crave my alone time. Balance is the key to my contentment.

If you're talking about "putting your best foot forward in a Sunday morning churchy fellowship context, then No, not interested.

If you're talking about sharing a meal with friends, talking, and enjoying each other's company, then yes.

I agree. In my 12 years as a disciple I have found fellowship with brethren at a meal table is awesome, and in a small study group that encourages chat, not just following a study book
My best ever time was when I first came to Christ, led by a work colleague, we worked in a car factory as engineers. Shortly after I witnessed to my other friend, who came to Christ
That period was amazing. Going to work was the best ever, we sang songs at lunch time and broke bread, we witnessed to others in the factory, had theological debates with others, found out other Christians who worked in the factory And encouraged each other. What a beautiful time of fellowship that was. Thank you Lord.
What I would give for such warm times again. All gone now, the factory closed and we all moved to different parts of the UK, but we were all grown by the Lord in that amazing season

Cheers

Grace and peace

"the factory closed and we all moved to different parts"

sounds familiar. we had this rockin in the spirit fellowship. years later it was scattered. i think the ideas was to carry the love, "... go and make disciples of all nations ..."

I spent the majority of my life as a loner. I thought I was fine with that. But since The Lord called me out of my solitary life style a few years back I find the fellowship I now enjoy would be very hard to give up. Spiritually I have grown by leaps and bounds. As a loner I was stagnate and not doing the Kingdoms business and my life had no meaning. It was a very lonely feeling even with an awesome family in my Daughter and Grandchildren.

The Lord has made it abundantly clear to me that we were made for fellowship for without it we cannot advance the Kingdom. Without it I was spiritually bankrupt, without direction, without meaning, just hanging on to the hope of eternal life to get me through the next day.

I resisted the call to get involved in fellowship. I really did not want the problems that come with it. But I love The Lord and finally obeyed. I found of course The Lord knows best. I found just as you did James that yes I need fellowship.
