Pray for a Friend in a Loveless Marriage
|

My daughter has a friend and I am friends with her mom. Pray for her mom. She is resigned to her sad marriage. She has tried everything she knows to improve it, but she says that her husband does not want to improve it and she has strong reason to believe he isn't faithful. She says that she is biding her time until her daughter goes to college and then she will get out of the marriage. I tell her to look to Jesus and not to the man. Pray for her to be complete in Jesus..that He would give her immense joy, instead of holding anything against him that her marriage isn't going well...it is her second one. Pray that she implicitly trusts Jesus and gets her joy from him alone. Pray for the conviction of sin in the parties of the marriage and to dry up any other relationships that the husband is involved in. Pray for his heart as well, that he will turn fully to Jesus, himself. Minister to this family and help the mother to take charge of the spiritual climate in her daughter's life as well.
