small group

My wife and I have stated a small group with three other couples. We are listening to the DAB daily and getting together once every two weeks to listen to that days podcast. The intrest has been good but I'm wondering if Anyone has any suggestions that will work with what we are doing for the one day we get together.

I would encourage each of you to keep a journal. The word comes alive in different ways at different times for each of us. A journal will help you keep track of these special moments between your meetings. There are special times when the words leap off the page into your heart and into your lives. The journal will help you remember and see what God is doing locally and in your group and you could use your meetings to review what is happening and what you have recorded. I think you will be amazed at the results.
We have this hurry up mentality, even with God, but that's not how the world works. Notice the delay in God's answer for Daniel in Dan 10. Notice the persistent prayer of Elijah in 1 Kings 18. What God is free to do here is not always as fast as we would like and what He does gets by us if we don't watch and pray.
So cool you have a small group. I wish you the best.

I would have to say our main goal is to listen to Gods word daily. Meeting once ever two weeks has been a way to keep each other accountable. So that's why I'm open to goal ideas. Tom has suggested each one of us to journal as God speaks to us though his word. My personal goal is to get several groups of three to four couples per group and individuals groups to promote listining to Gods word daily. Amen
