PASSAGES

Starting a Women's Study on Passages
I plan to use the Passages for a women's bible study starting in January. Most of the women have been reluctant to do preparation before we meet for previous studies, but we all decided that a study on "how to the study" will be very beneficial. Of course, as the facilitator/leader, this causes me to dig deeper into scripture and consider how to teach. It also helps me to establish time alone with God on a daily basis for which I fail to follow through with. I really enjoy the book Passages and am excited to begin. My conversion from atheism to a born again believer was from reading the NT in the NIV translation. After reading the Bible for myself, I had to admit that I believed that Jesus is the son of God and that God is real. That has been 13 years and my life was transformed. Praise God!

Has anyone else used the book and workbook for a group bible study? If so, what did you learn from it?

Hi Cheri,
I have also thought about a ladies bible study on passages on Sunday mornings as a Sunday school, and have asked my pastor about doing one. Am waiting for the sessions to approve it. I have listened to the audio book, and think it is great. I think it would be greatly beneficial for us to start reading the bible together from start to end as Brian said in the book, not skipping around in it and read it as a whole story. I'm looking forward to their decision and I'm listening to the daily audio bible as well.
