Oh, the Squealing!

Brian's illustrations on a marriage vs. a love, and a passion that is also your career vs. a job being like the Spirit vs the letter were excellent today.
I've been thinking about Brian at a Justin Bieber concert tomorrow. Four or five years ago I was able to obtain some good seats at a Jonas Brothers concert at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. I wasn't interested in the Jonas brothers, but my 13 year old daughter was passionate about them. (I was a hero for getting us tickets to the sold out concert). It was just the two of us, and we had a great time. Oh, the squealing! There were almost no men there ... grandmothers, mothers, and mostly 8 to 17 year old girls. The squealing was deafening. I've never heard anything like it. The ushers actually had bags of earplugs for those that wanted them (I got some after the squealing started). I hope Brian & his daughter have as much fun as we did.
Last night one of our fellow workers in our church's youth ministry started telling me about her struggles in trying to read through the Bible. She started in Jan 2012, and is just now getting to Saul's anointing as king. Aha!, said I. Have I got the app for you. I helped her get it installed on her iPhone ... hopefully she's on her way to success this time!
