The Heart of Reconciliation
From God's Word:

I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. (Amos 5:21-24)

These words paraphrased to fit our time and circumstances:

Remove from me your stage presence; take away from me your technology designed to impress a lost world. You sing with hands raised, yet you do not extend your hand to family and friends. You harbor evil and hatred in your hearts, yet sing of your love for me. How can this be? Can a heart that I have changed by the power of the Cross nearly 2000 years ago still be this broken? What else can I do for you that hasn't been done? Forget the accolades of worship, of conferences, of camps - and seek reconciliation with those who I have placed in your life, for your benefit and for theirs. It is not about who is right or wrong - it is about how willing you are to truly follow me.
