Tell Us About Yourself and What the DAB Means To You
New to Community
|
|
Hello All: I discovered DAB about a year or so ago because I have my own business and work 7 days a week. I am in my car constantly so DAB has been such a blessing. I am in a lonely season of life with both of my kids having moved out but I am very blessed that they are both serving the Lord and I am going to be a Grandmother for the first time soon. My business keeps me so busy that I find it hard to stay connected with a church family so I am reaching out to community for the first time. I am also asking for prayer for my 'adopted' French daughter. We first met through a French student exchange when she stayed with us and then she came to stay with me again for a few months recently. I discipled her before she went home and her parents in France have now disowned her and she is struggling to find a church family there. I told her about DAB in French and she is connecting there. France is such a dark country spiritually and she has not been able to find a church home or bible study within travel distance in Lille. Please pray for her relationship with the Lord. That she will grow despite her situation and that she would be 'real' with the Lord and allow Him to love her through all of this. Thank you DAB family!!

Hi Kathy,
I'm new here too (I only started listening about 2 or 3 months ago) and I started reading the bible literally a day or two before downloading the app. I've made some pretty good progress but I think I'm skimming the surface too much as opposed to really absorbing what I'm reading. So, I'm excited for Jan. 1st so I can actually listen to Brian in the morning when I'm getting ready for work and then read those same passages that night before bed and that'll be a really organized way to get through the Bible in a year as opposed to what I"m doing now which is just bouncing back and forth between the Old and the New Testament without a rhyme or reason! It'll be nice to hear his explanations of the passages so that study will be a bit easier!
Anywho, congrats on being a G'ma soon! That's great news! I'll send prayers to your adopted French daughter. I hope she's well.
Hugs to you, Lisa

Hi Lisa: I hope your New Year is off to a good start! My grandson was born on October 31! He and Mom are doing fine. I am enjoying DAB as always. Any time I spend in God's Word is good. This year will be challenging as my Mom has Alzheimers so prayers are appreciated.
How can I pray for you?

Hi Kathy! Yay! You're a Grandma! Congrats to you!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I will definitely pray. What is her name?
I can always use prayers for guidance and wisdom as I continue my journey with God. I'm so new to all of it and I have more questions than answers which for me can be really frustrating! Thank you so much for your prayers!!!
