Why the switch to m4a files?
I have been downloading the mp3 files to my mp3 player for several years. Why the switch. The Proverbs are still on mp3.

Don - short answer here... :)

The new format allows for a smaller file with the same or higher quality, which allows the DAB to go places it's never gone before, most noticeably international areas where Internet access is a lot more spotty, at best.

Thanks for the explanation. I understand and appreciate the benefits which will accompany the change. I have to somewhat selfishly note, however, that there appears to be one place where DAB has gone before that it will no longer be able to, i.e. my mp3 player.

Thanks again.

OK--I think I have worked through the conversion process through I-Tunes. A little more complicated than simply downloading directly from the RSS feed to the mp3 player, but it seems to work, so I'm happy.

Thanks again.

Hmmm, one thing about these files is that I can not play them on my ipod in 2x speed, which helps me get through a particularly long read during my short commute. Seems like I'll have to do a transcode also, bummer.
