2 Kings 10:32-12:21 ~ Acts 18:1-22 ~ Psalm 145:1-21 ~ Proverbs 18:1
Today is the 27th of June. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It’s great to be here with you and we are together in traveling mode at the Creation Festival in Pennsylvania. It's been a great time. Wonderful to see so many of you and meet you and spend the moments that we did get to have. I’ll be back on the bus and heading back to Nashville for a few days, so looking forward to home, but we have a place in our hearts that contains each other and contains the scriptures so we have some home no matter where we are. So it is good to be here with you today. Last day of the week, so we’re reading from The Voice this week, picking up in 2 Kings today.

Prayer:

Father, we thank you for another week in your Word. We thank you for the gift of your Word to guide and direct our steps, to illuminate our path. We thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit to plant and deepen our souls and lead us into all truth. We thank you for this week together, this first week of traveling again for the summer. We thank you for the many connections and conversations and all that you're doing in this summer travel schedule. We invite you into it fully, Jesus. We seek nothing but your presence. Come Holy Spirit, we pray, in your name, amen.

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is the website. It is home base. It is where you find out what is going on around here and, man, there is a lot going on around here, but what is most immediately going on around here is the tour schedule for the summer. So finishing up Creation here in Pennsylvania, we’ll get to travel straight back to Nashville, but then this next coming weekend we’ll be in Maine, River Rock Festival in Maine.

The other thing that is on the calendar is July 7th, the Daily Audio Bible Long Walk 2015. I think I’ve sufficiently unpacked what that is over the last couple of days, so just put that on your calendar, a day to set aside, go somewhere beautiful, and do exactly what The Long Walk says, take a long walk among the beauty of creation, slowing down the world and spending time with God, saying all that you need to say and giving him the chance to say back what he needs to say. Then snap a picture, shoot a little video while you're out there and post it up on the Daily Audio Bible Facebook page and watch this beautiful mosaic come in from all over the world, these little windows into each other's lives, lives that are knit together through the rhythm of the scripture and community here. It is beautiful, so plan for that July 7th.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at the website. There is a link on the home page, upper right-hand corner. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

As always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

That’s it for today. I’m Brian. I love you. I’ll be waiting for you here tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Sam calling from Vancouver, WA from my spot in the Standard Building in downtown Portland, OR. I hope you're all doing well. Biola, thank you for your prayers for me and my family. I appreciate that. Just calling for a couple quick reasons here. I heard the police officer's wife who called in here, moved to Tennessee. Just thinking of you and praying for you just for your relationship with Jesus and the man God has put in your life and just for Jesus to be there and present, his grace and love. And Joe, the police officer, haven’t heard from you in some time, so I would love to hear your voice just to hear it, just because it always puts a smile on my face. I would definitely appreciate that. Also appreciate your prayers for two things for me and my family. There is going to be a pretty big heat wave here in the next about 3 to 4 days this upcoming weekend and for about a week or so. We don’t have any A/C in our house, so we have definitely been blessed with a beautiful house but no A/C during this time, so just appreciate prayers for grace and patience for our family as we face that, because heat can definitely cause lack of patience, at least I know from my experience for me. Then also I had a couple of job interviews here at the place where I work, an amazing company. I'm just waiting to hear word back on those, so appreciate prayers for patience and favor and open doors there. I love you guys. Thank you so much for being there. Brian, thank you for this. Thinking of Jill and praying for her as well. __________ and just we’re thinking of you and praying for you, Jill. We love you guys. From Sam, Sidney, Grace, Serena, and Judah. Also, we go on vacation here soon, so appreciate your prayers for travel mercies and good connections there. From Sam, Sidney, Grace, Serena and Judah, we love you. God bless you. Have a great day.

Hello Daily Audio Bible family. This is Reggie again, your brother calling from Iraq, just calling to update you. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. My __________ finally agreed to give me my family allowance with the only exception that they don’t want to pay retroactively the six months. They want to start from July. Anyway, I thank God for everything. I have a prayer request as well. I want to ask you to please pray for me, that I would get duty station where I can stay with my family because now I'm working far from the family and it's stressful and it has been like this for 10 years and I really want your prayer. Please pray with me. Pray with my family, Daily Audio Bible family. May God __________ or a job that will make us to be together and __________ together. May God bless you and love you so much and I’ll update you again very soon. I hope I still have my two minutes. Bye-bye. God bless you. Thank you so much.

Hello my Daily Audio Bible brothers and sisters. My name is Kathy J. I'm praising our all sufficient God for each of you. Please know he is there for us and loves us in ways we cannot even yet imagine. I'm a first-time caller and need your knees, prayer warriors. I live in Columbia, SC and just passed the State House where the representatives are back in session today. Please intercede on behalf of peace, brotherhood, and wisdom for our lawmakers as well as the families who have experienced great loss in Charleston. God can and will once again make beauty from ashes, amen? Also several in my Sunday school class are looking for a permanent job. Just as our great God opens springs in the desert, please lift up Simon, Rosario, Mary and I, praying specifically so we know it is our great God's hand and not luck or circumstance. Our request is to have a job lead to the hiring __________ by the end of this month. Each of us desires to be in his perfect will claiming that he provides above what we ask or think and that his son has all authority, amen? Amen! Encouraging you to be the body. Love from Kathy J. in Columbia.

For all of us who are gathered together right here I pray for power and an end to fear. Please cleanse our hearts within, without, so we’ll have faith that knows no doubt and fill our lips with words of life and lots of love that won't cause strife. Please fill our hearts with kindness too. Help us daily be more like you. Respecting others, as we ourselves, set us free from our private hells. Keep us humble and make us pure. When things get rough, help us endure. And help us live, dear Lord, for you. Abundant joy with problems few and when we’re tempted, Lord, to stray, give us eyes to see things your way, for there are times when we act like fools. We need your help just to obey the rules. Lord, lead us safely from the storms that prevail to new life in you that cannot fail. With help from you each day we’ll grow, and if that is true, then it should show. We’re struggling now, but we will be free to live each day, dear Lord, for thee. BlindTony1016@gmail.com. Walta girl, you sounded ebullient, effervescent. Having your son back gave you a joy that words can’t even hardly describe. Well, the joy of the Lord is our strength. The report on Tony T., my friend, the horn player, they put a defibrillator in today so he should be getting out of the hospital hopefully tomorrow. God is healing and sometimes when things happen they seem bad at the moment, but it is a good thing he found out that he had this problem because he was a time bomb walking, waiting for it to happen. Anyway, thank you for your prayers and your support and your love. And thank you, Brian and your family, for this…

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Chrissy, the English missionary calling from the Philippines. I just must say that I just really enjoy hearing from all the callers. Blind Tony, I just love your poems. So it is lovely to hear from you all. I just wanted to give an update regarding my prayer request for Gina, the inmate with stage IV cervical cancer and Jerry, the inmate with TB who is on __________ in prison and has been there for 22 years. But Gina is in good spirits, but she is in a lot of pain. Though the jail ran out of pain medication for her, we were able to purchase some for her so she has pain relief now, so praise God for that. But when I told her that friends all over the world, part of the DAB family were praying for her, she was so, so encouraged. Of course, when you're dying, just lying on the floor in a cell with 80 other people and the temperatures are in the 30s, no visits, there is no family, it is just a joy for her to know that people all over the world are praying for her and that we care and she knows that she is loved. So thank you for that. It really, really blessed and encouraged her. I would like you to continue to pray for her, because it is hard to see, so thin and just lying on the floor dying, but you know, she prefers that than to be handcuffed to a hospital bed surrounded by strangers. She would rather have friends around her, so pray for her. We thank you for your prayers for her. Jerry, his hearing was on May 27th. Sadly it was postponed and rescheduled for September 16. Of course, this was very disappointing…

Good morning Daily Audio Bible family. This is Deborah from Providence, RI. It is June 24th. Walta, Walta, Walta, my Liberian sister, it is so wonderful to hear your son has reunited with you, your 7-year-old baby. It is beautiful. God is a great God. But you know that already. We pray that your husband also will be reunited with you before your son's birthday. DAB family, all longtime listeners, even new ones, this is amazing. Walta has been through a lot and for the longtime listeners, you know what I'm talking about, and the newer ones, she's been to Africa, Liberia, through trauma and back. Her son and husband have been away from her. She is reunited with him. Prayers work because through all of that, she kept calling, even when she was in Liberia. She would call and pray for others. This woman, she's amazing and we praise God for her, that her prayers are being answered. And this is just a testimony to others that you have to continue no matter what you're going through. Continue to pray. Continue to pray for others. Stand for others and you also will get…even if you don’t have your prayer answered right away, you’ll have the peace knowing that others are being faithful. God bless you, Brian and the family, all the people behind the scenes. Deborah from Providence, RI. Bye.
