Today is the 4th of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible and for everyone in the United States, this is our Independence Day, so it is a big day of celebration for us, but it always a day of celebration for me because it is my wife Jill's birthday, so Happy Birthday to my Sweetheart. Unfortunately, we’re not together today. I'm en route from Maine, but thankfully it is not points against me. We prayed all of this through beforehand knowing this was coming. I sure miss her, but we are all together in wishing her a Happy Birthday. So Happy Birthday, America. Happy Birthday, Jill.

Man, thank you to everyone who came out to River Rock. Good to meet you. Good to see you. Good to spend some time in the Northeast and I look forward to coming back to this area again.

We’re at the end of a week. We’ve spent this week reading from the Common English Bible, which is what we will do this very day.

Prayer:

We thank you, Father, for another week in your Word. Even as we close out this week, it is a special day for many of us, a day of independence, a day of freedom. For all of us, no matter where we are on this earth, no matter what kind of civil holidays that we have to commemorate special moments in the story of our nation, we are all free because of you. We are all here because of you, because of the gift of life, the unspeakably beautiful offer of relationship with you. So we love you and we rejoice in you this day. We give you thanks for freedoms that cannot be contained, for freedoms that cannot be taken away because our soul is with you. Our spirit has been given over into your hands and there is nothing that can separate us from your love, nothing. So we are thankful for that. We love you, Jesus. We thank you for this week that we’ve had to live and we look forward with longing to all that you will do in the coming week in our lives. We pray this in your name, amen.

Announcements:

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is the website. It is home base. It is where you find out what is going on. It has been a busy summer so far with just festivals, but it is great to be out seeing friends and community. Thank you for all of you who have come out. We’re like two in, two festivals in of five that run this summer. This next week we will find our way to the Lexington area of Kentucky for the Ichthus Festival. But before that is the 7th of July and that is a special day just inside the Daily Audio Bible community. It is our own special day – the Daily Audio Bible Long Walk – a day to just take some time, go somewhere beautiful, take a long walk with God, then somewhere along the way take a picture and send it in. Send it in at www.Facebook.com/DailyAudioBible and it will get posted up. It is just a beautiful little thing that we do every year – walk with God in the center of the year. It is just an opportunity to reset, reorient, speak to God, share our hearts, listen to what he has to say about the second half of the year, so that is coming up in just a couple of days, so plan for that.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at the website – www.DailyAudioBible.com. I can’t possibly thank you enough. It is always especially needed in the summer months, so thank you for your partnership. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

If you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

That will do it for today. I love you. Happy Birthday, Jill, I love you. I will be waiting for you all here tomorrow.

Community Prayers and Praise Reports:

My name is Marcia, asking for prayer requests for my niece. She just had to have an emergency C-section a couple of days ago. The baby wasn’t breathing and little Mason is still in NICU. She has only gotten to hold him today for the first time, and he is still on a ventilator and being seen by all kinds of specialists. He was blue and __________. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and he wasn’t breathing, so he is a very sick little baby. This is Kristin's first child, so it is pretty rough on the family right now. We would just like you all to lift Mason up in your prayers and hopefully Baby Mason will be well and be able to go home soon. We continue to pray for all those that call in needing prayers also. You guys are awesome. Daily Audio Bible is great. It's been a wonderful experience for me joining and listening in. This is my second year now listening in. Thanks again for all your prayers. I do appreciate it.

Hi DAB family. This is Vicki in Torrance, CA. I want to praise God for all his blessings and guidance in my life. Thank you, my Lord. Thank you, my Savior. I'm calling mainly today to pray for marriages like mine and Carla's who are fighting to recover from adultery. I pray, God, intercede with our spouses, take away fears, protect us from Satan's attacks. O God, give us confidence in communicating. Let your love flow so abundantly back into our hearts. In Jesus’ name, amen. I'm praying for you all. Bye.

I’ve been thinking about all of you. I listen every day. You know, we all go through trials and tribulations. Hello from beautiful Cincinnati, OH. This is Daniel Johnson, Jr., and I just have to share a praise report. I last called in about my brother-in-law, Albert R., Jr. (we call him Junior), my sister Mandy, their 4 boys down in the Fort Worth, TX area. As you may remember, Junior was in the hospital having blood sugar spikes at very, very dangerous levels. His potassium was up at a very dangerous, deadly level and we weren’t even sure if he was going to make it. Well, it turns out he has actually come home from the hospital. He needs to be on some home health care for a little bit. I mean, we were at the point where we thought that he was going to die. There was a chance he could die. Now it looks like he is not only going to live, but I'm going to be able to see them, see my sister, see my brother-in-law, and see my nephews. I haven’t seen them since 2007 and they haven’t been back up here to Mandy's hometown here in beautiful Cincinnati in over 20 years. It is just going to be a great time, I think. Again I praise God for Junior's health and I also pray for God to grant them and my family as they travel from Fort Worth to beautiful Cincinnati and back, that God would grant them safety and health and all the stuff that they need, for the providing for them. God is amazing. He is amazing. He is awesome. And I love you guys. Make it a great day.

Hi. This is Tommie in Montana and I feel like I know you all. I pray for you every day. Right now we’re on our way to the airport with our 16-year-old twins for a 3-week trip. They are going on their own with a group of other teenagers and this is the longest time they will have been away from us. It's tough for us. I think they are pretty excited about it, but I'm just praying that they will have growth. I ask you to pray with me for that, but most importantly that they will be able to come home safe. As a mother, we worry. I know I shouldn’t. It is all in God's hands. I thank you all for your prayers in advance. Praise God when I see them again. Amen. And thank you all.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Greg from Fallbrook, CA. I haven’t called in for a while but I’ve been listening to the prayer requests every day and praying for everybody out there, for their marriages and health and family. I’d like to ask for a prayer request. My daughter, Lauren, has a lump on her breast and she is going in tomorrow for a consultation. Would you pray and lift her up, that the Lord make this lump be benign and be just a fatty cyst or whatever, that the Lord could touch her and heal her? Also, my brother, Harvey, his brother is diagnosed with some sort of liver cancer and he hasn’t been saved. If you could lift him up and have the Lord reveal himself and the Holy Ghost be cast on him. Thank you all. Love you all. Praying for you. Take care. This is July 1st.
