1 Chronicles 2:18-4:4~ Acts 24:1-27 ~ Psalm 4:1-8 ~ Proverbs 18:16-18
Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. Today is July the 6th. I'm Brian. It is great to be here with you today from the rolling hills of Tennessee, lush and green and beautiful and hot and it’s nice to just be home. Hopefully wherever you are, it is a lovely, beautiful day today as well.

So we’re reading from the English Standard Version this week and just kind of getting going in the book of 1 Chronicles. We’re going through genealogies of people in exile who have been carried away, their country obliterated, and seeded with new people who have been conquered from other places that are now living, and the people we’ve been living with, the children of Israel through this year so far are now in another land, trying to write down everything they can remember about who they are before it can be forgotten over time.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for another day of life, another day to live in this world under the shadow of your grace and mercy in our lives, another day in your Word to plant the seeds of righteousness in our hearts. We thank you for the kindness of the gift of your Word and we invite your Holy Spirit to do just that, plant it deep in the soil of our lives bringing up the Fruit of the Spirit in everything we do and say, every thought, word, and deed, all of the intentions of our hearts, all of our ambitions, all of our relationships. We yield all of that to the authority of your Word and invite your Holy Spirit to lead us forward on the narrow path that leads to life. Come Jesus, we pray, into this day. We ask in your name and by your authority, amen.

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is home. It is the website. It is where you find out what is going on around here. It is always home, no matter where you are in the world. There is always this place we have that we can come to, so check it out.

What's going on around here is just tomorrow, tomorrow is a very special day – July 7th, the Daily Audio Bible Long Walk. I’ve been talking about it for a couple of weeks, so you kind of know what is going on here. It is a day to set aside or a portion of the day to set aside to just do something that we don’t normally do – go for a walk with God. We may go for a walk all the time, but with the intention of just being together with God, being able to just speak out the things that need to be spoken and hear what he has to say in return as we orient ourselves to him but also look for orientation to what the rest of the year is supposed to look like for us. It is a beautiful tradition that we have here and although it is a very individual thing, it is also a community thing. We’ll be doing it all over the world and so the only thing we ask is hey, whenever you're out there taking that walk, grab your phone or whatever and just snap a picture of where you are. Shoot a little video of where you are and then you can post that back at the Daily Audio Bible Facebook page: Www.Facebook.com/DailyAudioBible or if you’re on Facebook, just search for Daily Audio Bible and you’ll find it. Post your picture. It becomes this beautiful, beautiful mosaic. That is what I’ve been calling it because that is what it is. It is all these little snapshots of these little moments into each other's lives. It is truly lovely, so plan for that tomorrow.

This weekend, the 3rd of the 5 summer festivals that I’ve been invited to participate in will take place. This one is called Ichthus and it takes place in the Blue Grass State of Kentucky. So I'm looking forward to getting up there. Thankful that it is not a monstrously heavy travel week since Kentucky is adjacent to, just north of Tennessee. So that will be fun to be up in Kentucky this weekend. Hope to see you there.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at the website: Www.DailyAudioBible.com. There is a link, upper right-hand corner of the homepage. Thank you profoundly for your partnership. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

That is it for today. I'm Brian. I love you. I’ll be waiting for you here tomorrow.

Community Prayers and Praise Reports:

Hi Dabbers. This is Linda calling from northwest Georgia. I'm calling to request prayer for my daughter, Lanae. We have asked prayer for her before. She is doing well. She had been in jail for 3 months and has been out for almost a year and is doing great. I'm requesting prayer for her marriage to Jose and for their son, Jesse. I really believe God wants to heal their marriage. Right now Jose does not know the Lord. We need to pray for him to accept Christ as his Savior and also that he would choose to forgive Lanae, that the covenant of their marriage would be enforced and that he would not separate from her or seek divorce. I just pray for God's healing and I pray for restoration and I pray that their family would be reunited and that their son, Jesse, would come back from Mexico where he is staying with Jose's family. This has been very heavy on my heart and, Lord, I just let this go to you and I know that you are able to bring this to pass. Thank you so much for your prayers, and Brian and Jill, thank you for all that you do and I pray for your traveling mercies, Brian, this summer. Thank you. God bless you all.

Hey family. This is __________. It's been a while since I’ve called in but I really needed to call today. I'm finally composed enough to be able to __________. I don’t know if any of you saw the story of the tragic accident that happened at a boy scout camp in New Mexico. A young man stepped away __________ and was found 2 hours later drowned. Just pray for that family. They are part of my family. This young man was on my friend's soccer team and I'm just devastated for this family. They have had so many things happen to their family – the death of his uncle, __________ dad, __________ brother, and so many other things. This has been __________. He was a great kid. He was one of my favorite kids on my friend's soccer team. Just pray for them, family. Just lift the entire family up. This is such a tragedy. God bless you all. Thank you all so much for your prayers. I love this forum. God bless you, Brian and Jill and everyone who works so hard to put this ministry together, I pray for all of you. I listen to the prayers and I listen and I pray along with you. I pause the podcast and pray and pray. Thank you so much. I love you all, family.

Hello DABers. This is the dawn of a new era. God is leading us to be compassionate and he's leading us to be passionate not only for our cause but for his cause. Ours and his cause should be connected. It is not often we get into our mindsets, but God is leading me to believe that we should be focused supremely and ideologically on him, on his goodness that he has bestowed us with in this life in him, in this new life in Christ, for we shall begin to pray. Dear God, we thank you for your many blessings. We thank you for your riches that you have bestowed upon us, your riches in joy, your riches in peace, the fruit that is light thereof, Lord. The gift of the Fruit of the Spirit, Lord, that you have showered upon us that gives us that joy when we should be in hell __________, Lord, but you have given us peace. You have given us peace and the __________ of the depression that we could be in, you have given us joy. You have given us liberty, Lord, and we thank you for all of these things, Lord. We thank you for getting us through, getting us through the times that we would have been tangled up in our own mess, Lord. You're such a good God. You're such a great God. You're a God that has chosen to use your people for the advancement of the gospel, Lord, so we thank you. We bless your name and we ask you for more of this power. We ask for more of your ability, Lord. We love you and we thank you and we just bless your holy name for the things that you have done, the things that you're going to do, and the things that you are doing right at this moment, Lord. We love you and we thank you, Jesus. We thank you, Holy Spirit. We thank you for this ministry, the Daily Audio Bible. Lord, we love you and we thank you. Jesus, it is in your name that we pray. Amen. You all have a wonderful day. Forget all the obstacles. Just think about the hurdles and jump.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Candace from Oregon and I just really need you guys. My son, I have 2 daughters and 1 son, adult children, and he is just in such a struggle against alcoholism and social anxiety. He's made amazing progress over the last year, but I pray and please pray with me that he will finally find that peace that passes understanding by coming into a simple, humble walk with the Lord day by day, with Jesus. Thanks, Lord, for giving me these adult children to know and love. Thanks for my beautiful 10-year-old grandson. Words can’t even express how thankful I am for the spiritual leadership and commitment, deep commitment of love of my husband of 40 years. Lord, you alone continue to set us free to become all that you made us to be and I thank you. I'm so grateful for all of you. It is just so wonderful when you call in praise reports. Walta, to just hear from your son and how long we’ve waited for you to get to be reunited with him. The Lord is intervening on our behalf and our prayers for each other are powerful, just as he has promised they would be. God bless you, each one.

Hello Daily Audio Bible family. This is Sheila from Massachusetts calling in for a couple reasons today. I heard Gary from North Carolina call in to offer support to Jennifer from Boston. I wanted to first say Gary, thank you for calling in your support for Jennifer. It also was very encouraging to me to hear your story with your son and how much the prayers from the community meant to you, and Jennifer, I wanted to tell you that I will be lifting you and your daughter up in my prayers. I'm a frequent caller. My daughter, Annie, is the 20-year-old with bipolar disorder and indeed Annie started cutting as well when she was in high school. I remember what the first year of that was like and how traumatic it was and how difficult it was. It was this prayer line, my Daily Audio Bible family as well as my Christian friends who were lifting me and Annie up in prayers that was most helpful. So Jennifer, it does get better. Remember, God knew every hair on your daughter's head before the day she was born. He has a grand plan. He works everything, everything together, so I will be praying for you. Find some rest and peace in the Lord. My email address is BRSFritz@yahoo.com. I live in the Boston area as well. Feel free to email me. Barb, I hope you're doing well. You're in my prayers. Bye family.
