1 Chronicles 7:1-8:40 ~ Acts 27:1-20 ~ Psalm 7:1-17 ~ Proverbs 18:22
Today is the 9th of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. Greetings from the Blue Grass State of Kentucky where we will be around for the Ichthus Festival, so if you are around, make sure to come say “hello.” So as we move into our reading for today, we are reading from the English Standard Version. That is what we’ve been doing this week. We’re kind of at the end now of the couple days we’ve spent naming names and kind of reshaping what Israel looked like before it went into exile. As a reminder, everyone is in exile. There is no Israel, northern or southern kingdom. The people have been forcibly transplanted or relocated and they are writing down what they can remember so that they don’t forget in generations to come. So we’ll be coming out of that very soon and moving into the stories that surround all of that, but for today, 1 Chronicles 7:1-8:40.
Prayer:
Father, another day in your Word, another day of a grateful heart. Thank you for the gift of your Word. We invite you, as we do most every day, to plant it deep in our lives, one step forward in the process of sanctification, one step forward in intimacy with you, one step forward in orienting our hearts toward you and reorienting our hearts to who we are in relationship with you. So we invite your Holy Spirit once again to seal what we’ve read in our hearts and allow it to continue the work of change in us. We pray this in Jesus’ precious name, amen.
Www.DailyAudioBible.com: That is home base. It’s where you find out what’s going on around here, what's on the itinerary, what's happening. So Kentucky is what's happening – the Ichthus Festival. It is the third of the five that I’ll be doing this summer. It's fun. It's a lot of work. Travel is like that. But glad to be here. Thank you for your prayers over the safety and stamina of all of us who are traipsing around the country this summer. Like I was saying a little bit ago – if you're here, love to meet you. Love nothing more. Would love the chance to shake your hand, hug your neck and hear your story.
Of course, a couple of days ago we did the Daily Audio Bible Long Walk and you can still look in on all those little windows that have come in and have continued to come in on our Facebook page which is www.Facebook.com/DailyAudioBible or just search for Daily Audio Bible when you're in Facebook and you’ll find it. So check that out.
If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, I can’t thank you enough. Especially in the summer, thank you for your partnership. There is a link at www.DailyAudioBible.com in the upper right-hand corner of the home page or, if you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.
And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to dial.
That’s it for today. I’m Brian. I love you and I’ll be waiting for you here tomorrow.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. It's James R., the teacher from LA. So I got the news today that my father died and I talked to him a week ago. His health was declining. I mentioned that to you guys previously and asked you to pray. I don’t know all the details. A good friend of his was caring for him because he was in Vegas and I was not, apparently contacted my uncle. He hadn’t heard from him in a couple days, called 911 and they found him dead at home. I don’t know anything else other than that. I’ve got apparently a lot of calling and planning and decision making to do now, but also I went on vacation with my family, my wife, to visit my in-laws because we haven’t seen them all together as a family, her parents, in years and I'm feeling so guilty leaving when I knew he was sick and was desperately afraid he would die and I wouldn’t see him again. I haven’t seen him since 2010 in person. But he told me he believed in Jesus. He said “I'm a Jew who believes in Jesus. I don’t know about all this religious stuff, but I believe in Jesus.” So I trust he is with the Lord now and happier than he has ever been in his whole life, but please for pray me. I have so much going on right now. I love you guys. Thanks. Bye.
Hey DAB family, this is Nick calling from the East Bay, California, calling for a prayer request. My wife, Jeanne, and I are new to the DAB, but we feel so welcomed already, so loved by all the Christ followers out there. And we need your prayers. We recently found out that we were pregnant. We’ve been trying really long and really hard to have a baby and we’ve had to go through the hardship of 3 miscarriages already. We, through this process, have just learned to lean on God, to trust God, and to never take our focus off of Jesus, but now here we are again and we’re praying that God brings this pregnancy to term and that we get to celebrate a new life in our family. So we’re asking for your prayers. Thank you. God bless.
Hi Daily Audio Bible. This is Paul calling in from Beijing. I'm calling for prayers for my church. I'm a church member of Beijing __________ Church. We are under persecution for several years and some of our pastors are under __________ surveillance by Chinese government illegally. So we are going to organize a football game to help with the health condition of our pastors since they have been under surveillance for several years. So I ask for prayer that they can find grace in the security, policemen's eyes so that they will let our pastors out and join the football game. This is the first. Second – please pray for us so we can enter the house, the church building we bought several years ago and so that we can have a place to gather and hold our Sunday service normally. Thank you. Thank you for your prayer. Bye-bye.
Hi fellow Dabbers. It's Joe, the police officer here. I wanted to call in and touch base with you guys. Sorry I’ve been out of touch, the devil has really been at me, battling stuff, just a lot of things. To be honest, the bad one, the pornography and lust addiction, it's affected my marriage a little bit. My wife and I are still together but began to cause some trust issues and some stuff I gotta build back up and relationship issues with God that I’ve gotta build back up. If you all will just keep me in prayer, lift me up. I'm also battling some career issues/decisions. I'm still a cop, but I’ve been considering another __________, but don’t know where to turn to or what to turn to or anything. So if you all will, just lift me up in prayer. I'm still with you all. I just need to get back in the rhythm of things and need to be back in prayer warrior mode like I had been. If you all will, just lift me up. I need prayers. I need encouragement. Thank you guys. Love you all. Bye.
Hey, good morning. I'm on my long walk. My name is Elisia. I'm in the Virginia area. This is my first time calling in and just say greetings and thank you and praises for all that is being done through the Daily Audio Bible. I love it. I'm praying for everyone. I'm praying even as I walk, just praying for clarity and praying for wisdom. I'm praying for healing and restoration of marriages. I just want to bless you all in the name of Jesus. I'm walking…it's been 30 minutes now and my legs are burning, but I'm pushing past it. I'm stretching myself here. It is good. I guess one thing I’d say I’ve discovered in this walk is that I need to walk more. I might be a little bit out of shape, so thank you for that. I think small __________ would be helpful, so I intend to get up every morning and to walk and spend some time with the Lord. Thank you. My time is almost up. Thank you so much. Bless you guys. I’ll just keep on praying. Thank you. Bye.
