Today is the 17th day of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is great to be here with you in Minnesota, where we’re up for the Sonshine Festival. I will be up to speak tomorrow, so I'm glad to be here in Minnesota, but I'm also glad to be here virtually wherever it is that we are. We can all come together, no matter where we are and I love that.
So we’re reading from the New International Version this week, continuing the journey forward through the book of 1 Chronicles.
Prayer:
Father, once again we come together as a community thanking you for your Word, for the gift that it is, for the illumination to our paths, for shining light out in front of us and showing us where we are going by showing us the lives of those who have gone before us. We invite your Holy Spirit once again to plant these words deep in our lives, seeping down into our souls, affecting all of our thoughts, words, and deeds. Come Holy Spirit, we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
Announcements:
Yesterday I announced the Global Bible Read beta test that we’re doing and if you missed that, I'm not going to spend all the time again, but go back and listen to yesterday for this unbelievable thing, this ambitious thing that we’re trying to do together as a community – read the entire Bible eventually. But right now we’re trying to test and stress the system that has taken two years to build to where we are. You will be making a mark on history. Sometimes we can say things like that that seem grandiose or over the top, but in this case, it is not a joke. What we are building and what we are attempting to do has never been done in the history of the world and for two years I’ve been praying – “God, if we could get this done to shine a spotlight on your Word in a way that has never been done before from an angle that has never been done before, let it come alive. Let it breathe life.”

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports:
Hey DAB family, this is Byron out in Florida. Hope you guys are doing well. I wanted the lift up an issue to you all. As a lot of you know, the last year I’ve been in a couple of car accidents. I got a letter from the insurance company regarding the earlier one almost a year ago and found out I might be on the hook for some damages in regard to that accident. I don’t know how much the amount is going to be, but I do know I don’t have the money to pay for it. But the good news is that my Heavenly Father does, so I'm going to ask that you guys draw near in prayer over this and I pray, too, for the rest of us that call. Heavenly Father, I thank you, Lord, that you are a good God and that your love extends to us in all manner and ways. I thank you, Lord, for my DAB family that has stood by me through the years and has held my arms up in many desperate situations, Lord, and every time you have come through. So this is no different, Lord. I pray, Heavenly Father, that everyone that has a burden that has fallen upon them, Lord, join in this prayer and lift it up to you, Heavenly Father. That you take away, Heavenly Father, the thing that has fallen on us, that Satan is whispering in my ears. This is something to prove that you are there at the feet of worry and anxiety. Lord, we lift it up to you, Heavenly Father, and put it into your hands, Lord, and we ask comfort and joy and salvation, of your promise that you’ll never leave us or forsake us. We trust that you know everything, Lord, and that you're more than capable to handle any situation that comes to us, Heavenly Father. I thank you, Lord, for the community of believers that comes together over this prayer line and I pray you bless every single one, Lord, that aligns their heart together in this prayer, Heavenly Father. Lord, take these burdens off of our backs, Lord. If you want to delete them and make them zero, then go ahead and do that, Lord. If you want to carry us through it, Lord, and provide the funds, the favorable judgment, the guiding hand, or whatever…
Hi Daily Audio Bible family. It's James R., the teacher from LA. Just want to say a big thanks to everybody who has been praying for me. I really do feel it and I don’t usually just get specific on this, but this is so huge. Honestly, I was on the verge of being overwhelmed with guilt and depression. I didn’t have a great relationship with my dad. The last five years was the closest we had been and we only talked three or four times a year. I felt ridiculously bad that I was not there when he passed and really when he needed me, but thank you to Pelham in Cullman, Blind Tony, Walta in North Carolina, Carrie in Massachusetts, Jenny from Anniston, AL, Carlo from the Philippines, and Annette Allison, always a huge pleasure to hear your voice. Thank you, all of you, and everyone else who didn’t call in and their call hasn’t been played yet. I just love all of you. Thank you. Thank you. I also just wanted to say reality is setting in. My dad is gone, but I have God's peace. I need focus right now because there is so much to take care of. I'm teaching five different classes this fall. I have a baby on the way. My wife is in good health. The baby is in good health. I think I'm good for the classes. Everything…it is going to be good, but I just have so much going on. Oh yeah, you know, a condo in escrow, trying to reshuffle so many parts of my life, so I need your prayers. But I love you all and I'm praying for you, Pastor Gene, Joe the police officer, Nick, you're looking for a baby, I was there. I love all you guys. I'm praying for you all. Love you and lifting you up in Jesus’ name.
Hey Dabbers, this is Slave of Jesus in North Carolina. It is almost midnight. I just want to say a great praise report. My daughter had her surgery today. She literally said “I feel like I didn’t even have anything today.” So everyone is kind of amazed because mom, aunts, grandma all had uterine cancer issues like that. We will find out in a week when the biopsy results come back. But just the fact that the procedure went extremely well, she really wanted to go home right away, which had a little kerfuffle on the family, that was great. Lord, we just thank you. We know these prayers are what made this operation be successful and easy. Lord, I also give you praise. I had a $9,305 bill, but Lord, I praise you for that bill. I praise that we kind of knew this expense was going to come. I praise you. I'm a saver by heart. Even though this is blowing up all of our finances, I praise you that I even have the money to pay this bill regardless of where I have to take it from or what I have to cut out and not do. So Lord, I just find it amazing that you're able to do that in my life. __________ from Massachusetts, we couldn’t hear you. Garbled call. But I love those scriptures you were calling in, so keep calling in that. And I would just like to say Happy Anniversary or Happy First Year to everyone who is going to have their first year here in August. That is an amazing feat – to kind of start in the middle of the year and then still go a whole year. Thank you. Thank you for all calling in that. Just praise everything. Keep the ministry up and running. And Brian, thank you for all you do and we’re definitely praying for you and your wife. Love you all. Have a great day.
Hi DAB family, this is Sarah from Charlotte, NC and I just wanted to call with my praise report that my daughter was born on Monday, June 29th, about two weeks ago and she was actually born on her due date, which I was very surprised, especially since this is my first child and it was just I think a reminder to me from God that he doesn’t do things in our timing but he is always on time because we had tried for almost four years to have this child and had one previous miscarriage. So I just want everyone that is suffering through infertility to just know there is hope and don’t give up and God works things out in his timing. Thank you all for your prayers. I really appreciated all your prayers for me during this pregnancy and everything just went so well. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. She is just great and healthy. Her name is Lillian Grace. We’re going to call her Lilly. Thank you all. Love you. Bye.
David from California, this is Candace from Oregon. I hardly ever cry. I don’t know why. Don’t know what to make of that, but when I heard you, I cried and I want you to know that I am praying for the restoration of your marriage and for your heart. I'm praying with you as you said, that God will change you and mold you into the man God wants you to be. I pray that the counseling that she receives, that you receive, that you guys will both just have real clarity and wisdom about what is coming from God, his great love for both of you and his power to come in and heal and restore. Read Psalm 103. Praise the Lord, O my soul, it says. All my inmost being praise his holy name. That's what you should focus on above all. Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desire with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. You're oppressed by lies from the enemy and I just pray that you’ll humble yourself before God, and Satan, we rebuke you from this whole situation. This man belongs to Jesus who died and rose again on his behalf. We claim that in Jesus’ name, amen.
Today is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad. This is Matthew F. from Du Quoin, IL. I'm going to give you my two minute when, where, and why. On July 17, 2009, I gave my life to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Now I have a conscious relationship with my Heavenly Father, our Heavenly Father and it is the most wonderful thing that I have ever experienced in my life and it is going to go on for all eternity. I'm going to be with the Father for all eternity. I'm 42 years old now. I was 36 when I gave my life to the Lord. I did it at a __________. It was a Men at the Cross event and I believed a lie. I believed that only weak men went to church. That was a lie. I saw 5000 to 7000 men gathered around a cross in St. Louis and I became one of them and it was the best decision I ever made in my life. It is wonderful. But leading up to that I was seeking. I looked all different ways that I could to be right, to do good and I failed everything I tried. I was always afraid to open up the Bible. Then I started listening to the Daily Audio Bible sometime around 2007/2008. I was in the backyard building a tree house for my little girl and was listening to the Bible and it began to change my life and forever I’ll be indebted to the Word of God and to Brian. You listened and you heard the Word of God and you chose to be obedient and to speak his Word. I'm indebted to you. I thank you. I love you all. This is one of the greatest things that has been in my life, this Daily Audio Bible. Have a great day. It is the day the Lord has made.
