1 Chronicles 28:1-29:30 ~ Romans 5:6-21 ~ Psalm 15:1-5 ~ Proverbs 19:18-19
Today is the 19th day of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is great to be here with you, although a little on the tired side with all the travel, but it is a shiny, new week waiting for us to unpack and unfold and I'm looking forward to that and I'm so honored that we can do this together. So this week we’ll read from the International Standard Version and moving forward in 1 Chronicles, we’ll read chapter 28, verse 1 through 29:30 today.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for this grace that we are learning of in the book of Romans. We reach to you in faith and believe and you reach back with grace and kindness and forbearance and a loving heart toward us. Even though we do not and could not and cannot deserve this in our own strength, of our own accord, you offer it to us because you love us. This is profound. This is beyond words, that you would care. So we mimic the words of David – who am I, who is my family, who are my people that you would care? Everything that we have is yours and everything that we offer to you in our lives, in our resources, in our talents, we’re giving back to you what is already yours. We have nothing. You are the breath of life within us and you have wrapped your loving arms around us to carry us through this life. It is when we get distracted from that fact that we start floundering and flapping around and making messes all over the place. You have offered us a way out of that. It just doesn’t have to be that way. We just don’t have to live like that. We choose to. We choose to be our own God and then doubt you. What foolish people we are. Forgive us, Lord. We reach for you in faith, knowing that you are reaching back in grace and we accept. What else could we do but fall to our knees and cry holy? You are beautiful beyond description. You are good. You are eternal. You are all-powerful and you are Father. Come, Holy Spirit, into this new week, we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

Announcements:

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is home. It is the website. This is where, of course, you find out what is happening around here and what has been happening all summer long are these summer festivals.

Just three days ago I spent a few minutes just sharing a vision, a dream that we could do something that hasn’t been done before and we’re testing it. So you’ve been hearing me for the last couple days talk about the Global Bible Read which has some really ambitious goals and some really ambitious technology working behind it and we’ve tested and tested. It's been two years of development in the making, but we’ve tested to the point where we can’t behind the scenes test. We need a lot of people. So the ambitious ultimate goal is that we read the entire Bible. We have 31,109 (I think it is) people reading, each a verse and sending it in and we have the whole Bible in a very, very creative and interesting way that has never been done before, but to test it, to stress the system to test it out and make sure everything that we had built is built (and when I say ‘we,’ I include myself in that lightly), it has been largely Chet in the deep, deep programming and Daniel in the user interface. It has been a long, long project that has just now gotten to this place where we really need to stress it.

So we are capturing the book of John as a community of the Daily Audio Bible from all over the world. It has been so fascinating to see, just to see these windows open up. You're going to be amazed. So contribute your verse as we collect the book of John. Go to www.beta.globalbibleread.com and contribute your verse. I'm not giving step 1, step 2, step 3. It should take you a couple of minutes to do, but that is part by design, to make sure our user interface is self-explanatory, that it works. So come, do something that has never been done before. Contribute your verse: Www.beta.globalbibleread.com.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, if this community is life-giving to you, then thank you for your partnership. There is a link on the home page of www.DailyAudioBible.com or the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

As always, we are a community. We are a family. If you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

That's it for today. I'm Brian. I love you. I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praiser Reports:

Good morning, DAB family. July 15th and I was just listening to the prayer requests and praise reports coming in and I heard Regis from Iraq praying for a brother in Beijing and I just started praising God, thinking how amazing that we are connected not only through the Holy Spirit, which is awesome, but connected to hear each other's prayers all over the world for each other. How amazing is that? I was going ‘God, thank you so much for Brian and Jill!’ ‘Thank you for this opportunity for us to really just physically be able to see and to hear how connected we are.’ We are the body of Christ. We are one. We glorify you, Father, today. No matter what hardship or what wonderful things are going on, either way, Father, we just give you thanks. You are good and you are faithful. You are just and kind. You are holy and you are worthy of all worship. DAB family, we are so blessed. We have such an amazing, awesome God. Be encouraged today that he is faithful and he hears us and he loves us and he knows us. I love you, DAB family. Bye.

Hello Daily Audio Bible. This is Faith from the UK and I just want to say thanks to Brian and Jill for always being so faithful. I'm loving the community. I want to say thank you to everyone who rings in and asks for prayer and everyone who prays. I just need prayer for direction, I guess. I'm kind of like stuck in a hole at the moment. I have plenty of gifts and talents and abilities and I thank God that he gave me those, but I don’t have any money at the moment and everything that I want to do with all these gifts and talents and abilities either costs money to do or it doesn’t make any money, so I can’t afford to live and I'm kind of stuck in a dead-end job and I just feel like I __________ because I’ve just really been struggling with depression and anxiety attacks really badly. I’ve had to try and work through it and, yeah, so I know I want to start big so that God can use me to bless people and I don’t know how to do that. I have not got a good business mind at all. I’ve just got a big heart. Yeah, I just really need prayer for that and I really need prayer so I can see myself as God sees me because, yeah, I just really need that. So I’ve told you my situation. You just pray for whatever you need feel like you need to pray for. So I really appreciate your prayers. Thank you.

This is Candace from Oregon. Thank you, Brian and Jill, so much for faithfully providing this for all of us. Last night before I went to sleep I heard a BBC report about ongoing rape of thousands by ISIS in Syria and in Iraq. I just come against this situation, Lord, and I just pray that these pretty lies seducing young people into joining would be revealed for what they are, that this would just start to turn around and turn against the very perpetrators of these awful things. I pray that young people, both girls who are used as sex slaves and young men who have somehow been seduced into joining ISIS, that both would come to know you and begin to stand for you, even in this situation where they could be easily killed for it, likely killed for it, that they would stand for you, Lord. Protect them and pull them back out of this and may this snare just turn in on itself so that they destroy themselves and that this just stops. In Jesus’ name we pray. I have a whole bunch of positive, exciting things. I'm thankful because God is answering our prayers. I'm thankful for Richard from Mississippi. Thanks for telling us about your visit with your mom and how well it went. Praise be to God.

Hello Dabbers, this is Judy in Northwest Arkansas. I just wanted you to know that when I listen to DAB on my phone, I lay my hand on the phone like a point of contact and lift your prayer requests up to the Lord. I haven’t called in a while, but I would like to request prayer for my daughter, Charlie Ann. Her and her boyfriend traveled about three hours to Northwest Arkansas. They live in Central Arkansas to give us some news – they announced to us that she is five months pregnant. I'm a little bit worried. She said she spotted and didn’t realize she was pregnant. She forgot her pills one month and then she continued to take them after the next month, so I hope the baby is safe and healthy. Anyway, she is five months pregnant and due in November. Since she lives three hours away, my husband and I are wanting to move back to the Central Arkansas area and so just pray that my husband's job, which is commission based, that he will just have favor on his job down there and that this baby girl – her name is going to be Sadie – is healthy and my daughter, Charlie Ann is healthy and that they raise the baby in church. They promised that they would. Anyway, also pray for my son, Austin. He's a network engineer and he's so stressed and has been stressed for years. Please pray that he can find another job to take care of his wife and they are wanting to start a family also, so I appreciate your prayers. I know you all have much bigger problems, but I just need to know that there are people out there praying for us. Thank you. Have a…

Hey family, it's Elbanita from Lexington, now Charlotte. Soon I won't be saying that anymore. Brian, the message from July 10th was so good. You talked about we get so obsessive and focus all our energy on getting out of this season instead of just living what we believe and what I believe is that God is for me and not against me and that he is definitely stretching me in this season of being in this new city without a job or a church, but asking me to risk on him as he invites me into deeper relationship. So I appreciate that reminder. Family, I ask that you all would pray for me, that I stay focused, that I use wisdom, that I will not give in to discouragement and that I find a church that is the right church for me that I can be in community and find a job that I will be able to support myself. I currently live with my aunt so I'm not homeless. Don’t worry there, but I feel lonely and I need community. So I appreciate you all's prayers. Know that I am praying for you and I look forward to hearing you again tomorrow. Have a good day everyone. Bye.

Hi Dabbers. This is Christopher from Pretzel City again. I wanted to call in and thank you for your prayers because Leah was found safe and was returned to her family. The family has asked me to thank you and to ask that you keep her in prayer because of the shock and trauma involved in the experience. Again, thanks for that prayer cover and may God bless you all.
