2 Chronicles 4:1-6:11 ~ Romans 7:1-13 ~ Psalm 17:1-15 ~ Proverbs 19:22-23
Today is the 21st of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It is good to be here with you. I'm thrilled and honored and even pleased that we can come in out of the fog of battle, the fog of life, all of the distractions, all of the things that are going on around us, and just exhale, just kind of go this is protected, sacred time and I'm letting it all go and orienting my heart back to God and allowing his Word to wash over me. I love it that we can do this together.

So we’re reading from the International Standard Version this week. We’ve just recently begun 2 Chronicles, so we’ll read chapter 4, verse 1 through 6:11 today.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for your Word and its guidance and its counsel and its comfort and its discipline. Thank you for this gift of your Word to orient us to your heart every day and lead us one step further on the path that leads to life, the narrow path. We invite your Holy Spirit to lead and guide us deeper into Jesus today, to lead us into all truth. We pray this in the precious name of our Savior, amen.

Announcements:

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is the website. It is where you find out what is going on around here and what is going on around here is epic and important and needs you, needs your involvement, although probably just today and tomorrow then I’ll stop talking about it – the Global Bible Read that we’ve been talking about for the last several days. If you missed it anywhere along the way, if you're hearing me talk about this and going ‘what is this thing?’ go back to the 16th from last week and I really unpack that and you can listen there at the end.

We have built some technology and a system to do an ambitious project in the long run, that being to capture the entire Bible one verse at a time from different people from all over the world. We’re testing that system right now. We had tested it to the point where we needed to kind of do this open beta test inside of our community here so that we could stress it a little bit and make sure everything is working.

So that is where you come in. We’re collecting the entire book of John from all over the world, all of these magnificent little windows into each other's lives real quick as we contribute a verse. It's amazing. So check it out and contribute your verse. Go to beta.globalbibleread.com and it will be pretty self-explanatory from there. Just takes a couple of minutes and you (and this is no joke) are putting your mark on history. This has never, ever, ever, ever been done before and it is something ultimately that is of us, from us, like this is us, our community, but it will reach far beyond us. So put your mark on history. Beta.globalbibleread.com, contribute your verse there.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, that's www.DailyAudioBible.com. There is a link in the upper right-hand corner. If you find that the Daily Audio Bible community, all that we are to each other is life giving, then thank you for giving life to allow it to exist at all. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

As always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

That's it for today. I'm Brian. I love you. I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praiser Reports:

Hello Daily Audio Bible. This is Scott in Alaska. I haven’t called in for a few weeks. A lot of things to praise about. A lot of things going on. The Lord's faithfulness. I pray along with all of the different prayer requests, a few that stick out in my mind lately was a lady whose son, __________, was a young man and he's in trouble with marijuana and Xanax and he's just broken and a mess and I want you to know, ma’am, that I'm praying for you and for your son and God's faithfulness. Kim, you were taking an IT test in Las Vegas and praying that went well and that God is honored and glorified by how well you did on your test and you get your job promotion, things like that. David in California whose wife left, I understand that. I have been in those shoes both ways. All I know is God is faithful and we can take our tears to Jesus and I'm praying for you, David, my brother. Now, for all of you in the Daily Audio Bible land, I have a request. I am starting a fast today for 7 days. I’ve got a specific purpose for this fast and the Lord has laid it on me to ask all of you for help, for prayer, to please lift me up in prayer for strength in this fast, for the Lord's purposes to be accomplished and I will report back with a praise report on this fast. I appreciate all your prayers. I covet your prayers and I'm very grateful for the Daily Audio Bible community, for Brian, you reading the Daily Audio Bible and just for taking all of you with me as I travel all around Alaska fixing these airplanes. Fires are out. Airplanes are getting fixed. Life is really pleasant. God is good all of the time and please help me with the fast. I love you and I will talk to you later. This is Scott in Alaska. Bye.

Hi, my name is Roy from New Hampshire. I’ve been listening for a few months. This is my first time calling. I ask for prayer for my mom and my dad. My mom, Martie, has just been diagnosed with brain, lung, and lymph node cancer on July 16 and dad is upset. He's 85. She's 80. They are believers, so their eternity is secure, but it still is very difficult. Pray for wisdom and healing, for courage, for strength for them and for the family and wisdom for the doctors. Thank you.

Hello guys. This is Alleah from Waxahachie, TX. Sorry I haven’t called in a while. I’ve had a few things going on in my family and in my life. Busy things. I'm just calling to agree with what a caller said, that God is faithful. No matter what you're going through or what you're dealing with, he is most certainly faithful. Anyway, I love you guys. Still with you. Have a good day.

Hi, this is Kathy from Southern California. I'm calling to say thank you that I picked up my daughter from Florida and her 3 kids and I just feel your prayers. Everything went pretty good considering there were 3 kids in the backseat going from Southern Florida to Southern California. It was a 5-day trip. So I'm calling today because my grandson, Ethan, is autistic and we were told by his counselor that we could get a refill on his medication in California, but that is not turning out to be true. He is going to run out of his Abilify and Ethan is schizophrenic. We’re expecting a crash, but we know that God can do a miracle, so when he runs out, we just pray that in God's hands he would be healed and that he won't crash. He's hearing voices and they are telling him to kill himself and to kill his family, so Ethan is 14. Just pray that he will be healed and we’ll get the proper medication and that God would just work it all out. Thank you so much. Goodbye.

Hi friends. This is Bonnie from Saskatchewan. I'm just heading to bed. I work early in the morning tomorrow. Have to be up by 4:30. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I managed to take my long walk on Tuesday and then again today. I did make a lot of headway, but again things seem like the enemy doesn’t like it when that happens and I’ve started taking 10 steps back. But I guess that is all part of the journey. If I could get you to continue to pray for me as I work through some issues and just totally surrender to the Lord. That would be wonderful if you could do that. Praying for everyone and praying for healing. There was a lady that called in a couple, three weeks ago that was in severe pain. You come to my mind now and again through the week when I'm up and about and I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you. We’ll talk to you later, friends. Bye.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless his holy sweet name. Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, they will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debt as we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, amen. Hello brothers and sisters, this is Randolph from Rocket City. I pray for all of you and I want to lift up my mom who was raised in East Germany with a Lenin-Marxist atheist teaching and she doesn’t believe in God, but yesterday she agreed that she would read John chapter 1 and we could talk about it. So I just pray that you lift her up that God might touch her, open up her eyes. Also pray for my wife, Wendy, for her dad. He is losing his memory very bad and it is causing much stress for Wendy's mom. I pray for her as well. Thank you, Candace from Oregon for that beautiful song. Alright, God bless everybody.
