2 Chronicles 14:1-16:14 ~ Romans 9:1-24 ~ Psalm 19:1-14 ~ Proverbs 20:1
Today is the 25th day of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It is great to be here with you at the close of another week and it is a special day today. Today is Baby Ezekiel's birthday. Ezekiel, also known as the Daily Audio Baby is 3 today. I can’t believe it. It is a bit of a travel day. We’ll talk about all of this later, but first we will center ourselves and do what we’ve come to do – feast upon God's Word and allow his Holy Spirit to plant it in our lives and our hearts. We’ve been reading from the International Standard Version this week, which is what we’ll do today.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for another week in your Word, in this grand adventure that you've invited us into, into relationship with the Scriptures and as they orient our heart to you, into deep conversational, holistic, integrated, life-giving relationship with you, by the power of your Holy Spirit within us. Thank you for this week, all that you've spoken to us, all that you've shaken in us, all that you are reframing in us, all that is being changed as we go through this process of sanctification. We love you, we submit ourselves to you fully, and mimicking the words of King David so long ago, may the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in your sight, Lord God, our Rock and our Redeemer. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Alright, so today is Baby Ezekiel's birthday and I think, I mean, as long I have words in my mouth, I'll always be grateful for that day that he was born and always bring it up every birthday he has. Three years ago today Jill was in the process of trying to give birth to Ezekiel, and we had a midwife at home, and we had planned to have him at home when we had to take a diversion and rush her to the hospital for some immediate intervention. And it was just a difficult day, certainly an interesting one. And then we had to make so many instant decisions to preserve Ezekiel's life and I remember Jill being wheeled away and just being able to post it out there to our social media, post it out there to the Daily Audio Bible and intercessors and be almost instantaneously surrounded by prayer. It’s like one of those moments for me that was like 'I am not alone in this, I'm really not. This virtual community, this global family that we are, this is for real, this is happening. And to just have that wash over and comfort the situation and feel God's presence in it and through it and through you, I’ll never forget that and I'll never not be deeply moved and grateful for it. When I say I love you every day, it’s for those kinds of things; it’s because of those kinds of things I do, I do love you. We are in this together. Somehow we find ourselves sharing this patch of history. And in all of humankind, we were born now because God willed it and we are walking this journey through the scriptures together because God has allowed has us to be in community with each other and it moves me, it’s beautiful.

So obviously Baby Ezekiel was born and he's been the Daily Audio Bible Baby, or the Daily Audio Baby since then. And that little man in his 3 years has been all over the world and everywhere we've gone, we did this whole Family Gathering Tour and we brought Ezekiel up and just thanked everyone in person for praying. And he's 3, I cannot… How did that happen? Like, where did the time go? But he's 3 and he's right here...

Brian: Hey Zekey, it’s your birthday.
Ezekiel: Why?
Brian: Because this is the day you were born.
Ezekiel: (Laughs) Why?
Brian: Well, that's just how it works, how old are you?
Ezekiel: 2.
Brian: No...How old are you now?
Ezekiel: 2.
Brian: No... You’re 3!
Ezekiel: No, I 2!
Brian: You want to stay 2?
Ezekiel: Uuum hum.
Brian: That's a good plan. I want you to stay 2 too.
Ezekiel: I being 2.
Brian: What you gonna do for your birthday?
Ezekiel: 20.
Brian: Hummm...
Ezekiel: 20.
Brian: 20?
Ezekiel: Yeah! (Laughs).
Brian: Now that's a little ways in the future.
Ezekiel: Uuum hum ... I don't want to talk anymore.
Brian: You don't want to talk anymore? Okay. Well, I gotta finish this up. I'm going to push pause and take you to your mommy.

Okay, so happy birthday Ezekiel! And thank you all for being a part of the story of our family and we love you very much for that. Now switching gears, Global Bible Read. We are on this mission to capture the entire book of John and there are still some verses for you to take. So when you go to Beta.GlobalBibleRead.com, you'll see only the book of John is there to pick from and you'll see the verses that are still out there and grab one, contribute your verse, and help us get the entire book of John so that we can really, really begin to dive into the rest of the development of something that is going to be amazing. And if you'll give me a day or two, I can show you what this is going to be like and I think you'll feel like I do. It's pretty amazing.

Okay, www.DailyAudioBible.com, its home, it’s the website, it’s where you find out what's going on around here. We kind of explained some of what's going on around here, so I won't go into all that. Hi Daily Audio Bible. This is Rebecca from Michigan. Hey you know, the Bible says if you delight yourself in the Lord, He gives you the desires of your heart. I’m almost only 50 years old and one of my desires is to meet somebody, enough to get a home of my own; I want to go back to school and get a college education. Those are some of my desires. But I just know that God does give you the desires of your heart because I’ve prayed for things and things have come to pass. I was just wondering if you could pray for me? I'm just going to go to a temp agency and so I can get a full-time job. I work part-time as the school bus driver. I don’t start up until September until May, to June. I’m trying to live on my own and people look at that like ‘you don’t have a full time job,’ they don't want to give you houses or cars, or stuff like that. So I want to make myself more marketable. Pray for me today at my audition, my instrument on stage so I can perform. So keep me in your prayers. Thank you. God bless you, Daily Audio Bible and delight thyself in the Lord. He will give you the desires of your heart. Bye-bye.

Hey Daily Audio Bible family. This is Sammy giving you a call from Vancouver, WA. Calling, walking in on my way to work today. My reason for my call is that I start a new position today. God blessed me getting a job, and a massive 20% to 30% pay increase, and the former supervisor that just really believed in me. So I just want to thank God and praise God for that. And pray for confidence because I definitely have anxiousness and nervousness and doubt and believing the lies that I’m going to not succeed. I’m supported greatly by friends and my wife. I just wanted to get the Daily Audio Bible family community support and prayer for confidence and favor and grace and peace as I go in on my first day. So thank you guys, my boss's name is Celeste and she just really believes in me and my ability to do this. So I thank you guys for all of your prayer and your support for that and I look forward to all the prayers, to know they’re coming. ‘Forgiven’, I want to let you know that I’m praying for you and your wife and your mom. I cannot imagine that is an easy scenario in any way, shape, or form. To have two women that you love so much just struggling to get along, so I’m praying for you and for God's peace and reconciliation. I love this family and love you guys. From Sam, Sydney, Grace, Serena and Judah from Vancouver, WA, we love you guys. God bless you all. Praise be the God.

Hey DAB listeners, this is Kathleen in Southern Illinois… in middle Illinois. I am calling about my brother this time. And anyway, I thank all of you guys for all of your prayers because I called about my little baby girl the other day and my new granddaughter and she is just fine and we'll take her back to the hospital and she is just fine. And I called about her other things and you guys have been so faithful. I’m praying today, my brother who is 60 years old. He just turned 60 this year. He just has a dead-end job in the middle of South Dakota and out of frustration, I believe, he quit the other day. Anyway, he and his wife are thinking about moving to Arizona in with my sister. But the problem is that his wife suffers from mental illness, she's got paranoia and signs of schizophrenia. And I’m just really thankful that my sister is going to take them in down there; but she also has some issues. Anyway. I’m just asking for prayer, I don't know really know what to pray for, it’s one of these - just that the situation doesn’t become explosive. I guess that my sister can have patience beyond measure and that they can find jobs when they get down there. You know, it’s tough as you get older. So anyway I just pray. I know that there are lots of things going on, the economy is good. I hope they’ll find some decent jobs and they’ll be able to find their own apartment. Anyway thank you. God bless you. I love you very much, Dabbers.

Daily Audio Bible, this is Candace from Oregon. Let’s pray: Jesus, thank you, thank you for this intimacy and prayer that we are all enjoying. Thank you for calling your servant, Brian, to provide this. Thank you, Lord, for the daily prayer that many of us pray. My husband had me start praying it a year and a half ago; oh, it’s been so powerful. Thank you for giving that to us from the Ransomed Heart Ministries, that Daily Prayer. Lord, thank you for Walta, the burning bush that will not be consumed for the glory of God. Thank you, Lord, for Jay from New Jersey. Thank you for his new job prospect and his desire for Christian fellowship. Lord, provide for him in every way. Make him wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove. Thank you for Kimberly from northeast Nevada, for Lisa from western North Carolina. Thank you, Lord, that even though people in Kentucky are suffering disastrous flooding situations, that you are still faithful and true. That they, each one, each individual can look to you for your salvation in every situation physically and spiritually. Lord, be very near. Lord, be very near to save, to conform, to restore. Please God be with Karen from Boca Raton. Please be with her Lord and let us hear from her soon, a good report, Lord. Bless her. Lord come and have your way.

Hello DAB-ers, this is ‘Blessed Like Me’ calling in to give some encouragement. I guess my gift is encouragement. I didn’t know that until Lisa from west North Carolina called in and gave me those accolades and that's why I want to call in and encourage everybody else about this. Everybody has a gift, but until you know what your gift is, it gets stagnant. You need to stir your gift up, you need to stir your gift up. Without knowing what your gift is you are unable to stir it. So ask those closest to you what your gift is. I had asked the one that’s closest to me, which is God. God told me from Tony the truck driver and Lisa from west North Carolina. I was going to stop calling in because I didn’t think I was reaching anyone, but they encouraged me and told me my gift was encouragement and told me to keep on calling. So I think that their gift might be prophesying because they prophesied over my life and gave me encouragement. So stay encouraged and find out what your gift is and use it, in Jesus’ name. Y’all have a great day and thank you, Brian and Jill, for this format platform. Love you and thank you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
