2 Chronicles 26:1-28:27 ~ Romans 13:1-14 ~ Psalm 23:1-6 ~ Proverbs 20:11

Today is the 30th of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is a pleasure and an honor, it is my joy to be here with you today from the West Coast, the Pacific Northwest of the United States in Washington State where the final of the summer conferences or festivals begins today in the Tri Cities of Washington, so I'm looking forward to that and, more importantly, looking forward to the chance to meet those of you who are out here, so come say hello. We are reading from The Message this week.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for another beautiful day in your Word, this beautiful gift that we simply can’t stop thanking you for because it is priceless, it is precious, it is invaluable to our spirits, to our souls, informing everything that we do with our bodies. You are present to us as you speak through your Word and center us, turn us, orient us to your heart. So come, Holy Spirit, plant these words into the soil of our lives that they may yield the fruit of the Spirit in us. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is home, is the website. It is where you find out what's going on around here. Plenty is going on around here. The Creation Festival Northwest, the final of the five – man, I was trying to count up the states. It's like almost 20 states in the last 30 days, so it has been intense (I guess is the best way to put the right word on it), intense. But that tour is coming to a close and so looking forward to being done with that, although it has been really, really beautiful on so many levels. So if you are attending Creation Northwest in Washington State, be sure to come say hello. Love to meet you.

And then, let's see, well, Global Bible Read. Global Bible Read is where we are for the moment. We have learned a ton with this beta test. I thank you all for participating. We’re not quite done. We’re collecting the rest of the book of John. If you haven’t jumped in yet, please do. Wherever you are in the world, please do, and help us finish this up. You can go check out what I'm talking about at www.Vimeo.com/DailyAudioBible. And, well, I don’t know what else to say to not be hype-y. Go see. You’ll see what I'm talking about. It is profound to experience the Bible in this way. It is going to be unbelievable when we get to the point where we can do the whole Bible and then just push this to the world. Oh my goodness! I mean, I can hardly wait, but it has been 2 years in development so far and it is not going to be 2 years in the future, so we’re closer to being there than we are not. This is really a beautiful thing that our community is doing, so check it out. Once you’ve watched that video, you’ll probably want to contribute your verse. Go to beta.globalbibleread.com and make your mark on history, literally. Thank you so much for your participation in that.

If want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, www.DailyAudioBible.com is the place to go. There is a link in the upper right-hand corner of the home page. Thank you profoundly for helping us exist at all. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

And that is it for today. I'm Brian. I love you. I will be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports:

Hi Daily Audio Bible family, this is Greg from Fallbrook, CA. I wanted to wish you guys all a fantastic day and rest of the month. I'm calling. I need a prayer request. My daughter, Lauren, is going into surgery to have a lump removed on her breast. It is Friday, the 24th at about 10:00 right now. She is going in in about 30 minutes. I would like to ask for your prayers for fast healing, for no complications, and also that this lump be nothing but benign, just fatty tissue and there is no cancer in her body, in this lump. Appreciate it. Listen, I need to…it's a sad praise report. A couple weeks ago I asked for prayer for my mother-in-law, Mary, up in Apple Valley. The day I called in she was almost comatose, couldn’t remember anything, she was having a really bad time and there was blood on her brain, bleeding on the brain, and I called in and, seriously, hours after I called in, I got a phone call. ‘Oh, she's lucid, she's up, she's wide awake. Everything is great. She remembers everybody.’ It was God. It was God. It was the Lord showing that he can be the healer of anything. There is nothing too great for him. Unfortunately, I guess he had other plans for Mary because after she was clear-headed, 2 days later they sent her home, everything was great. She went into her bedroom and her husband found her in the morning. She was laying with her arms wide open, very peacefully passed away and went into eternity. But I want to thank you. Like I said, it is a sad testimony, but I want to thank you all for your prayers because she was able…the Lord brought her to herself so she was able to see…

Yes, I'm calling for all the Daily Audio Bible listeners. I deal with depression on a daily basis. I’ve been clinically depressed many years. The reason I'm calling out is I wanted to give others hope. Two things: One, being depressed does not mean that you don’t have faith in God. It is a disease. It is like diabetes, fibromyalgia. Your brain is chemically malfunctioning. It doesn’t mean you don’t have enough faith in God. It doesn’t mean you haven’t prayed enough. That being said, too, God often answers prayers through medicine, doctors, and counselors, so sometimes your answer to prayer is the strength to go that appointment, the strength to take the medicine daily. These are things that God is with you. He is with you at all times, even in the dark times. It is not that you don’t have enough faith. Remember that. Do pray for me. I'm having problems with my medication, and I appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi friends. This is Antalya Sofia calling from Washington. I'm calling first just to say thank you, everyone, for your prayers for my brother. He is finally stabilizing out and we’re coming out of the storm. So thank you, dear ones. I'm also calling in today in response to a couple prayers I heard recently. First was today, July 25th. I heard a woman. I forgot their name. You are a school bus driver and you’ve been praying for the Lord to give you the desires for your heart (Psalm 37:4). I just was struck with this for my own self, just looking back on life and when I would pray that verse to the Lord and ask for things that were not necessarily bad, but looking back, I am so glad that the Lord did not answer those prayers and give me those desires at the time because they would have been fulfilled and his plan was better it turns out. So I just encourage you to pray that the Lord gives you his desires and that your desires would become his desires and that you would instead pray his will and pray his heart for your life and just watch and see what amazing things he is going to do with that. A lot of times I myself, I'm guilty, we go to God with a list and an agenda and what the Lord is wanting to do is so much more and so much greater. So just to realign our thoughts and to reframe, as Brian says, and to just go before him and to thank him for what he's blessed you with and to ask him just for more of his heart for your life so that you can therefore pour into others. Secondly, I'm calling for Becky in Orlando. You had asked for prayers for gluttony. I too struggle with this. Food is a big love of mine, but what really helped me is just repenting before the Lord and then asking others to be accountable and to come alongside you.

Hi DAB family. This is Chante calling from Detroit. Happy Birthday, Zekie! Thank you, Brian, so much for everything that you do for us. And thank you, Jill. Thank you, Chet. Thank you, Tina Marie. Thank you, whole DAB support team and technical team and we love you all so much. I just wanted to call in today and just say how good God has been to me these past few weeks. There has been such transformation in my life and I'm just so grateful, so thankful. He has just been showing me so many things and just teaching me really how to discern his voice and be led by him. Oh my goodness! The difference it makes. Just peace and joy and just learning how to rest and trust God is just an amazing, amazing thing. More calls to come from me. As you see, I'm on a roll. This will be like the what? Third day, fourth? I can’t remember now, but anyway, I love you all so much and I will talk to you later. Bye-bye.

Hey DAB. This is Mike from New York, but currently I am in Perth, Australia doing Youth with a Mission, YWAM. I'm going to ask for prayer for growth here, for my growth and for the growth of people in my medical missions school. I just feel so much enmity, like there is so much judgment and bitterness and this is in the body of Christ. Not just here, but in general. I mean, how are we supposed to be God's ambassadors, people who love Jesus when we’re all so fearful of judgment and so judgmental and hateful? Guys, pray for a release, for the Holy Spirit to flow and make us love one another, for the devil and his wicked demons to be rebuked in Jesus’ name, and for us to really love one another because, man, if the only thing that holds us back is fear, fear of judgment and then fear of judging ourselves, oh man, the accuser does so much, so pray for rebuke and for a great time of growth, learning and knowing Jesus better, knowing God and listening to God. That's it.

Good morning brothers and sisters, Dabbers. This is Nydia from New Jersey. I'm calling with a praise report because I met a lovely, lovely young lady named DeeDee at the Amtrak station in Philadelphia on her way to Washington, DC and we just connected right away and started talking about the Lord and I told her about the Daily Audio Bible and I told her I was going to pray for her, so DeeDee, I just want to tell you Psalm 86:5: You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call on you. DeeDee, I'm praying for you because you call on the Lord and you are so open-hearted to serve the Lord. I just pray for your mission of planting seeds in others, in younger people so that you can influence them for good, for a blessed future, and how your heart is just willing to serve the Lord through others. So just a praise report, and I pray for you, DeeDee. Rebecca from Michigan, praying for you, that God has a plan for you, like you said, so that you can meet someone, go back to school, get your education and a full-time job and perform your music. Sam of Vancouver, for your new job. I'm so happy for you and I'm just praying that the Lord continues to bless and that you continue to call on him. Kathleen, I'm just praying for your brother and your sister's situation. I just also wanted to shout-out to Blessed Like Me. Thank you for all your encouragement and I just wish everybody a blessed day. Amen.

Hello, this is New Zealand calling, Elizabeth. My grandson, Matthew, age 24, has just gone to US. He went to sleep in a park and when he woke up, this was in New York, he woke up, his bag had been stolen with all his money, 3-1/2 thousand US dollars, plus tickets to Europe and the worst thing, his New Zealand passport with visas, etc., were stolen and all his credit cards. Thank the Lord he was not harmed, but an obviously foolish, naïve thing to do. I would be so grateful if you would all pray for him, that he will be safe, that he will be able to at least get is New Zealand passport back because he can’t go anywhere without his passport, of course. Thank you so much, everybody. I so appreciate this program. Thank you very much. God bless you all.
