Ezra 3:1-4:23 ~ 1 Corinthians 2:6-3:4 ~ Psalm 28:1-9 ~ Proverbs 20:24-25

Today is August 6th. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It is great to be here with you, back in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Glad to be home, but glad to be here with you and beyond excited to hear from God through his Word today. Reading from the Modern English Version this week.

Prayer:

Oh, Heavenly Father, we love you. And it is our desire that we grow into full mature children, that we are no longer consumed with the things of the world, as Paul was speaking of, that we are no longer babes that need only milk and that is all we can handle. So we invite your Holy Spirit to come and crowd out the worldliness, to push away the worldliness, not just the things that are sinful, but the things that tether us, the things that reduce us to a smaller life when we are eternal beings created in your own image. We ask, Holy Spirit, that as we walk with you and as you lead us deeper into our relationship with Jesus, that we grow up, that we are no longer consumed by the simple things that are around us, the circumstances that we face, that we are able to raise our eyes to the horizon instead of focusing on our feet, that we are able to see that there is more going on here and that this more that is going on will go on forever because we will forever be in your presence. Come Holy Spirit we pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Announcements:

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is home, it’s the website. It’s where you find out what's going on around here and what's going on around here right now is something that, gosh, so many hours of prayer, so many hours of research, so many hours of work have gone into, the launch of Reframe. Reframe the book is available for pre-order now. Man, I’ll keep saying what I’ve been saying. I’ll keep pounding away at it because it is that important. Reframe is life-changing stuff and I'm just inviting this entire community to get involved in helping launch Reframe far and away beyond what it is that we do here so that freedom may come and so that we might summon those who belong here with us to the daily rhythm of the scriptures that we experience every day.

So Reframe is available for pre-order and we’ve done our best to offset, to say hey, if you’ll get involved and pre-order Reframe, then here are some things that will equal that value. I think they are also on their own well worth it.
• The You Video, one of the five films that we created around Reframe as a group resource is epic. I mean, it was filmed from 8 countries and 6 of the United States were used to create that film. It is beautiful.
• And a couple of songs from Jill's new record that are great are in there.
• Then, of course, chapter 1 of the book to get you going and get started as we’re counting down the days till Reframe launches.

I would appreciate it very much if you would get involved in that. Go to www.ReframeBook.com and you’ll find out more information there.

Then speaking of Reframe, the Reframe message, Reframe Live, I’ll begin to take that out on the road and, of course, it will heat up once October comes, once the book is out, but the 15th and the 16th of this month I’ll be bringing Reframe to the Penn Theatre in Plymouth, MI at the Heartbeat of Plymouth, so hope to see you there. Go to www.HeartbeatofPlymouth.com and you’ll get more information there about that. Hope to see you.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at the website. There is a link on the home page, upper right-hand corner. Thank you, thank you, thank you! If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

As always, 365 days of every year, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

And as always, 365 days of every year, I love you and I'll be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Hello DAB friends. It's Ann from the UK. I’ve got a praise report. I phoned this time last year about my job as a teacher and asked for prayer. I left teaching at Christmas and after 2 months of unemployment, I got a job in an account firm, which shows God has a sense of humor because I always said money wasn't a career option as I can’t __________. It was __________ temporary contract in this job between March and July and at the same time I was applying for other jobs. I finally got a job as an administration assistant at a care home near me. It's full-time employment. Thank God for his provision. I’d also ask you to pray for my friend Jules who had been a coma since a car accident in October. He died. I believed and prayed every day for his healing faithfully and __________ this news and questioning God's __________, however, I believe God told me Jules is safe with him and maybe my prayers reached the way to his ultimate healing, not simply a physical one. Please pray for his family and friends, that his death will ultimately lead them to Christ. For the rest of this year I’ve got to concentrate on losing some weight and paying some back some debt, so if you could please pray for God __________ strength and for victory in this. Thank you, friends. A shout-out to Allen from Darby in the UK. We’ve not heard from you for ages. If you're okay, call in and let us know how you're doing. God bless you all.

Hi family. Biola here from Maryland. How are you all doing? Brian and Jill, God bless you. That global reading thing is really good. I did mine yesterday so I'm looking forward to seeing that chapter read. Anyway, Sophia, I'm praying for complete healing for your brother, that God would touch your parents, strengthen them and give them peace, in the name of Jesus. Rory from New Hampshire, I'm praying for healing for your mom, Maddie. I'm praying that God would touch her and heal her, regardless of her age. I'm praying for strength, peace, and comfort for your dad in this situation and wisdom for her doctors, in the name of Jesus. Brother, remember Caleb at 85 years old. He went on to take that land that the Lord promised him. That same God is the same God who is able to give your mom good health. Kathy from California, I'm praying for your grandson, Ethan, that God will heal him and deliver him. I silence all contrary voices coming to this boy, in the name of Jesus. And I speak peace and calm over him right now, even as I'm speaking, in Jesus’ name. Michelle, first-time caller, I'm praying for your students. I'm praying for that baby, that the kidney will start developing and everything in the baby's mom's body would be in order and aligned with the Word of God, in Jesus’ name. I'm praying also for that other mother who is grieving the loss of her daughter, that God would comfort her, wrap his arms around her, in Jesus’ name. O dear God, I just bless you for that woman. Sister from __________, I'm praising God for that young man in prison, that God will equip him with his grace and continue to use him mightily in that place, in Jesus’ name. I'm also praying for Courtney, that her mission trip to Asia will be successful and I'm praying for God's protection over her and her team, in the name of Jesus. God will use them for his glory. Wayne from Maine, I chuckled when I heard your request. I'm thanking God for answering your prayers. I'm sure the good people of Ghana in West Africa will miss your constant praises, brother. I'm praying for the provision of good health for you, in Jesus’ name. Rumbii, I will call in and pray for you properly, but I'm praying for you, sister. God bless you.

Hello DABers. This is Linda calling from Alberta, Canada. I’ve called in before regarding my daughter and my daughter has depression, social anxiety and addiction. A bit of a background: My daughter was a very confident, loving, artistic, friendly girl and she was on to a really good career path and she had a lot of dreams and hopes, like all her other friends did. Several years ago there was a big change in my daughter. A little after that she started to have depression and anxiety and then addiction. Recently it has come to light that she has posttraumatic stress syndrome from a situation that happened to her several years ago and it is believed that it is the root cause of her depression, anxiety, and her addiction. It is really hard to watch my daughter spiral downward and she struggles every day. She desires to take her medication, make her doctor's appointments, make her counseling appointments, but it is very, very difficult. Today her career is suffering. She shows no interest in her many hobbies that she once had. She has limited friends and she is incurring some financial problems. I would like to ask you pray as you feel led by the Holy Spirit. I would ask that you would pray that she would be free from her affliction and that God would bring laborers and counselors into her life. I thank you, everyone for your prayers. And I pray along with you. That's that. So blessings to all of you. Thank you. Bye-bye.

Hi, this is Antalya Sophia calling from Washington State. I am calling in today for Alex. I heard you today. It's the 29th of July and you stated that you're agnostic and you're just staring to go to church __________ and I just have 2 verses for you, Alex. So the first one is Jeremiah 33:3 which says call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things which you do not yet know. So, just pray. You don’t have to say any specific prayer. Just talk like you would talk to a friend and ask God to reveal himself to you and to give you that ability to believe and he will. The second verse is Jeremiah 29:13 and that verse says you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. So as you seek the Lord with all your heart, which I know that you're doing, I can hear it in your voice, just have confidence that you will find him and he will reveal himself to you and, oh my goodness, it’s just going to be such an amazing experience for you. I will be praying for you, Alex, and just know that if you don’t feel like you have that 100% faith in God, he has that 100% faith and confidence in you. He's calling you to himself, or else you wouldn’t be calling in. So just take delight in that and just know you're being lifted up in prayer. Prayer does work and he does hear us. Just do a search on all the passages in the Bible of calling out to God and you’ll see. So love to all my friends. I'm praying for you, Alex. Take care. God bless.

Hi, my name is Candy. It is July 29th and I have been a DABer for a couple years now. It is such a blessing to hear everybody's prayers and to support each other. I'm a first-time caller and I have a friend, an old friend that has betrayed my trust that wants to reconcile with me. We are to meet this Friday night into the weekend and I'm a little anxious about it. There is a lot of spiritual warfare going on because obviously Satan doesn’t want God to get the glory and the deliverance that we’re both seeking and the healing that we’re both seeking in this. I just pray that there is no retaliation on either end and that there is just a peace there and that the truth comes out and it sets us free and that there is healing. But it is mainly just the spiritual warfare that I need help with and to just stand in the gap. I appreciate your prayers. Thank you.

Hi DAB family. My name is Lexi. I'm calling from Traverse City in beautiful northern Michigan. This is my first time calling in, although I’ve been listening for about a year now. I’ve been putting off calling. I'm a little nervous. I just have a praise report. My husband just graduated nursing school. It's been a really tough couple years for us. We’ve only been married for about a year and a half. __________ praise to God he just got a new job. I'm really excited to start this new chapter in our lives, but with that I'm asking for prayer. Just that he moves forward. I'm thinking about going to school this fall and we’ve been searching for a house for about a year now. We’ve been staying with relatives which has been exceptionally tough being newlyweds. We both do feel peace about pursuing finding a place of our own, so I just ask for wisdom and peace and guidance and just that God's will will be done in our lives. Thank you so much for your prayers, family. Just know that you are all in my heart and I'm praying for you, even though I don’t call in. I appreciate everything. Thanks so much, family. I truly love you. I couldn’t have gone through this tough time without you all. God bless. Bye-bye.

Father, thank you for Kathy from Texas. Father, I also welcome her into the family and I thank you that the best way to learn how to pray is to pray. No eloquent words are necessary. You’ve got her and you love her. Father, I thank you for Mariah. I am sorry for her heartbreak and I pray that you will bless her future career plans, that you will order her path. Father, I thank you for my sister Shelly. I thank you for her husband, Dwayne. I pray that you will continue to touch him and heal him and that you will help him to completely overcome his medical challenges. Father, I thank you for my sister __________. I pray that you will continue protecting her, her husband. I thank you that you will take her fear away from her husband's occupation. I pray that you will protect him. I pray that you will draw her son to you, that you will establish him and that you will bless him. And I thank you, Lord, for your blessings and your presence. Father, thank you, for Pelham and Molly as they approach their wedding. Thank you for the couple and thank you for all my brothers and sisters. I pray all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen. Pastor Gene. Take care.
