Today is the 30th of August. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It’s great to be here with you today and also hard to believe we’re right on the doorstep of another month. Whew! It's going by too fast, but we’ll stay present. We’ll stay present to where we are right now and take this next step into the scriptures and through the scriptures together. So let's lock arms and here we go. We’ve got a brand new week and, of course, before this week is out, we’ll be in a new month, but we’ll stick to the same translation. This week we’ll read from the New Life Version and we’re continuing our journey through Job and now the younger man that has been a part of this group listening to everyone talk is speaking his mind, Elihu. So today we’ll read Job 34 verse 1 through 36 verse 33.
Prayer
Father, we are grateful for another week, another week to live, another week to take steps forward in the scriptures this year, another week to walk with you, another week to walk with each other as a family, as a community here. We thank you for your goodness and your kindness toward us, your patience and never-ending mercy over us, your love that blankets all of us in ways that are seen and unseen, in ways that we recognize and in ways that we don’t. You are present to us. We ask your Holy Spirit to make us more aware. You are very present to us because you love us that much. We spend a lot of our time unaware. Quicken us, awaken us, cover us by the power of your Holy Spirit. We look forward longingly to all that you’ll do in the coming week and we consecrate it to you. We dedicate our lives before you. We can’t wait to walk through the days of this week with you. Come Jesus, we pray in your name. Amen.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports
Hey Dabbers, this is Slave of Jesus in North Carolina, at home. I’ve called a couple times asking for some prayer about provision or whatever, the next job. I'm grateful I got a job for 6 months and I was asking for that, but you know what? After I got off the last call I decided to scrap all that. Scrap all that. I do not need people praying to ask him for provision, from God. You know what I really want? I want God to reveal to me what he wants for me in my life, what direction he wants for me in life. And if that means I have to lose my house, I have to lose my car, I have to lose all the stuff that I have here because I don’t have a job or something like that, then so be it. I would much rather know where God wants me heading, what direction, like heading that way and not be distracted by the things of the world and worrying about trying to get the next job or the next dough. So that is the prayer I want from the Dabbers, that God will reveal what he wants for me and my life, for Slave of Jesus, and that would be awesome. We could also please pray for my daughter, Amber. I just went online. She was supposed to begin her last semester of a 5-year school program and we’ve had all this rigmarole and I see that she has either dropped or been pulled out of all of her classes, so we don’t know what has been going on with her and it has been a crazy ride, but just please pray for her, to give her wisdom and guidance, what God wants for her and her life. It seemed like she was so close to finishing this, but I don’t know what is going on. I'm not in control. God is. Love you all. Have a great day. I appreciate the prayers.
Morning, Daily Audio Bible community. This is David in Kansas again. Today is August 27th. I was just listening to today's episode and I heard my own phone call from Tuesday the 25th. I know, because I was really bad about the date at the time. Yesterday was the 26th and that was the day I had my surgery. As far as the surgery, it went well. It took a little longer to get in there and everything than we were expecting, but the doctor said everything seemed to go okay. And then I follow up with him in a couple weeks. I just came back from the drugstore and just laid out a stack of pills that I have to take now to aid my recovery. My wife tells me I have to eat something even though I'm really not feeling very hungry and just thinking it was funny (maybe not that funny) that I almost felt better on Tuesday than I do today after my surgery. I just wanted to call in and say that I know that my prayer didn’t air until the day after my surgery, but I know that I had another prayer that aired earlier in the week and I know that you were praying for me and I know that God was with me. I prayed before I went in and I said I know that when I go in there I'm not going to go in alone because he is going to be there with me. I just wanted to give everybody an update, let everybody know that I made it through and as long as I take care of myself, I should be okay and I'm going to keep following up with the doctor and hope that this doesn’t come back and…

Praise the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desire with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, all my inmost being, praise His Holy Name. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel. The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, bounding in love. He will not always accuse nor will he harbor his anger forever.
Good afternoon DAB. First of all I would like to say my name is Owilda from Queens, New York. I want to give a great shout-out. Thank you so much, Jill and Brian, for this amazing opportunity to be able to be a part of your Daily Audio Bible community. I have to say it has been a year and a half that I’ve been listening to it consistently and it never fails to amaze me how much love you bring to this community. I thank God that he has placed both of you in our paths because we all, all, all wake up with the desire of hearing what you have to say, delivered by our Lord. To my fellow Dabbers, I want to tell you that although this is my first time calling, please know that I have heard many of your requests and I have prayed in agreement with each and every one of you. For those I haven’t listened to, I know that you are out there and I also know that I, too, pray for God's grace to shine upon each and every one of your needs. I, myself, have suffered from depression for a long time and suicide was something I had contemplated and God brought me through this. God brought me through this. I thank God for his love and his mercy and his grace and depression has played a huge role and through his amazing, amazing unwavering love, he has been able to offer me a new life which is now something that I’ve embarked on and I totally embrace. Hello, my name is Michelle in Cleveland. I need urgent prayer from the prayer warriors. This started a few years ago. I paid my tithes instead of my property taxes and my church won't help me. I have not been able to find employment. I have been going fervently looking for a job. I cannot find employment anywhere, not even a paper job or a job in my field. My house is in foreclosure. A tax lien for purchase. My house is in foreclosure and it is due to be sold on October 5th. My church hurt me in other ways and I'm trying to forgive. I'm trying to release, but they really hurt me. I just need peace. I need deliverance. I need whatever hindrances that are on me to be removed. I just need somebody to intercede for me with the Lord and please reverse this situation. I'm up for a couple of jobs, maybe for 2nd interviews, but I need this situation to be resolved as quickly as possible. I have no one to help me, absolutely no one to help me. I don’t think I can even find anyone to help me to move, so please, please, please somebody pray for me and somebody intercede. Thank you. I pray for you guys and listen every day. I love you. I still need prayer and redeeming a house for me and my family but also calling to say a prayer for all of us, so if you can, just close your eyes. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you, the DAB family and I. First we ask forgiveness of our sins, Heavenly Father, and ask that you lift us up. I also ask, Heavenly Father, for you to touch those who need healing, Heavenly Father. We just need your hand __________, Heavenly Father. I also ask you to be close to those who need you, Heavenly Father, that feel like they are alone. They are not alone, Father. They know they have you. They just need to feel your presence, the __________ of a touch __________, Heavenly Father. I also ask you to give us wisdom, Heavenly Father, to give us guidance, Heavenly Father, discernment to know what is from you and what is from the devil so we can always stand on that steady course to go __________ your will, Heavenly Father.
