Today is September 3rd. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It is a pleasure and an honor, like every day that we can get together like this and take a further step forward into the scriptures and through the scriptures this year. So we’re trying on this new month and kind of fitting into it and getting ourselves established in this, the ninth month of the year and we’re also kind of getting ourselves settled into the book of Ecclesiastes from our Old Testament reading, so we’ll pick up there, reading from the New Life Version.
Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for your Word. Oh, it's such a beautiful gift that you have given us. We often thank you for your Word and it can just become an autopilot thing because this is what we do here at the Daily Audio Bible is read through your Word in a year, but may we stop and consider the beauty of this gift, this gift that speaks into all of the nuances of our lives, that is continually probing all of the outer reaches of our identity and continually orienting us and pulling us like a magnet back toward your heart, always giving us a compass pointing us forward. Thank you for the beautiful gift of your Word. We pray along with what the Apostle Paul was saying in his letter to the Corinthians. May we honor this gift of your Word and may we honor you with love and fear by giving ourselves to you in every way. So we invite your Holy Spirit to continue the transforming work that has been begun in us and continues in us of changing us, of reframing us and you in is relationship that we find ourselves. It is beautiful and lovely and life and you are so good. May we honor your goodness by giving ourselves to you in every way, we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

Community Prayer Request and Praise Reports
Hi. This is Caleb from Ohio. I'm calling in right now to pray for some people. Michelle in Cleveland, I just listened to the podcast for August 30th and she was saying that she was having trouble finding a job. She is about to lose her home and she can’t really find anyone to help her, so I want to pray for her especially right now. God, please bless Michelle and just show her your love. Bring other people to her to help her with moving and just comfort her and get her a job. While she's struggling, just keep blessing her and just show her that she can trust you with all her needs and that you’ll provide. In your name, amen.
Hey, good morning everybody. This is a God Fearing Soul in Sebastian. As I was listening to the prayer requests this morning on August 31st, I was struck by the love that we share for one another as brothers and sisters. It is the same love that drove Christ to the cross and it is the same love that moves us into action, action to overcome fears and anchor our faith in God. Whether we’re first-time callers who are in need of prayer or regular callers who know the power of prayer or the prayer warriors who pray on our behalf or encouragers who call to lift us up, we stand together as the body of Christ, united in love. So for those who are heavy-hearted, broken, and suffering, I lift you up this day and pray that you see and feel the glory of God and his riches and the very real love of this community. Abundant love and blessings to you all and congratulations, Grandpa Brian and Grandma Jill! We love you guys. Take care.
Hello everyone. This is Donna in New York. Brian and Jill, congratulations on a grandbaby. Oh, praise God for that. I'm going to talk quickly because I'm praying for so many of you. David in Kansas, thank you for giving us an update. Praise God. May he continue to heal you. Katie in Ohio, praying for your husband's salvation. Nothing is more important. Drew in the Bay Area, oh, I pray for Trevor's parents. Oh, may the Lord just wrap his arms around them and for young Drew, may this cause him to just be so inspired to be a warrior for Christ. Tony, praying for your son. I just pray that he will run back to his Heavenly Father and run back to you, just like the prodigal son. So many of you are suffering. You are in my prayers. I come and ask you to pray for my daughter. Her name is Elisa. She has had a stronghold in her life for many years. I pray that the Lord would give her true wisdom and true forgiveness in her life, that he would restore relationships and just that her eyes would be opened to all that God would have for her. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that the Lord would just release her from this stronghold and just give her abundant life in him. Thank you all. Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Debbie from Anderson Island in Washington. This is my first time calling. I have been having a lot of stress and sadness and crying, anxiety, moving this place and that place ever since my husband left me a little over a year ago to go be with Jesus. I need prayer for healing my hurting heart and for direction and guidance as to where he would want me to live. My daughter-in-law has a motor home being given to her by her church and I need prayer for that. In Seaside, OR, she would let me stay in it temporarily until I find an apartment if we can find an RV park that I can afford. Also I need prayer for an apartment opening from a wait list, direction as to where to go in either Vancouver, WA, or Seaside, OR. Thank you, Daily Audio Bible family, for your prayers.
Tomorrow is September 1st and what if each person who is fed spiritually on God's Word through the DAB would be willing to fast for one physical meal during this month and instead send the money that you would have spent on that meal to the Daily Audio Bible? Then during the time that you would have been eating, pray for everything that concerns this ministry, from all the people involved to all those who call in, to the vision for the future and especially for Brian, his family, his eyesight, his voice, his health and most of all his relationship with our Lord. Pray that Brian be rooted and established in love that he may have the power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that he may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever. Hey, good morning, good day, good afternoon Daily Audio Bible. Just had a praise report. I'm elated right now actually. I received a new job and it is going to bring my wife home, so we’ve been praying for that for a long time. So your continued prayers and just thoughts of us, we really appreciate it. I really don’t know what to say. I'm kind of in shock because it is such a great, great thing that is going to happen for our family, my wife and our four kids. We have kids in each stage of schooling. We have an elementary school, a middle school, a junior high school, and a high schooler, a freshman, so it is going to be really great for my wife to be able to stay at home. I just wanted to share that with you all and let you all know that God is great. I know we hear a lot God is good all the time and all the time God is good, but today I just want to say God is great all the time and great all the time is God. Again, man, I just want to thank you guys for your prayers and thoughts about our family. I’m elated right now and just can’t thank God enough for the opportunity he has presented to me and I want to do a really good job for him and my family. So with that, I’ll be done here. But again, just wanted to let you all know and reach out to everyone and just as a praise report. This new job is really going to bring my wife home and it is going to be better for our family. I just wanted to thank you, Brian, for being there for us and Daily Audio Bible family. Take care.
Well, Daily Audio Bible people, this is Richard C., the former radio station manager on your phone or __________ or in your speakers. What a wonderful day. What a magnificent day to hear the wonderful news about Brian and his family, Brian moving into that next chapter, another chapter of his life, opening up and __________ becoming a grandfather. Congratulations to Jill and Brian and their __________ kids and their daughter-in-law. God bless you, sir. It's __________ and your family continuing. I think that is wonderful news. It is quite exquisite that you shared that news. I wouldn’t have been able to contain myself if I knew that news for as long as you did, Brian, so you __________ very well to sit on it for a couple of weeks. I don’t think I would have been able to sit on it for a couple of seconds actually. God bless you, matey, in your new adventure. I just ask that you would pray for me and my family. There is a situation in my life. I'm a foster carer of five young boys that I love dearly, but through a situation I find myself in, these boys have been taken from our care. I would just ask that you guys out there in DAB land would pray for this situation, that God's will would be worked out in this situation and we will continue to see his hand every single day. During this month, the second half of this month where we’ve been going through Job, I’ve been reflecting on each day and going, like the call that came in today, I'm no Job, but I trust in the same God. So let's trust that God will restore back to me what has been broken and damaged. Thank you.
