Isaiah 10:1-11:16 ~ 2 Corinthians 12:11-21 ~ Psalm 56:1-13 ~ Proverbs 23:6-8
Today is September 12th. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. Always a pleasure to be here with you. Glad that we could spend this time together, not just you and me, but all of us, that we could all be here together. Another step forward, every step in the rhythm of life in a relationship with the scriptures, being oriented to God, it’s just such an amazing thing that we get to do every day. So it is good to take this next step forward with you. We are ending another of our weeks and they just kind of go by, don’t they? Here we are approaching autumn, at least here in the Northern Hemisphere. Those of you who live north (I live in the south), those of you who live further north are probably already experiencing some of the turning of the leaves and autumn chill. That hasn’t come to the Tennessee hills yet, but it will. And those of you in the Southern Hemisphere are just going ‘oh, the trees are starting to bloom and we’re starting to get to springtime,’ which is amazing. As far flung as we are from each other, we are still united in spirit and in purpose as we go through the Bible this year. We’ve been reading from the Good News Translation this week. We’ll finish today using the Good News Translation.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, Lord, our majestic and powerful God, our sovereign, our friend, our Father. We thank you for another week together in community as your family all over the world to spend in your Word. We thank you for the things that you have spoken to us, the things that you are at work transforming us through because of our intimacy with your Word and with one another. We thank you for another week of life. We rejoice in you. You are the hope of our salvation and the very source of our lives. So we thank you, God, as we end another week and look forward to all that you will do in the future, that you are here with us because you want to be in a relationship with us. We want that too. Come Holy Spirit, unite us. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Announcements:

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is home base, it is the website. Of course, it is where you find out what is going on around here and mostly what is going on around here in this month is the fact that we’re releasing the Promised Land film, a new edition, the final edition, The Essential Pilgrim's Edition. We filmed over the course of four years over 70 of the archeologically proven biblical sites and it just runs the gamut. It is from the extreme north of the Promised Land all the way to the extreme south at the Red Sea, from the extreme east at the Mediterranean coast to the extreme west on the border of Jordan and the Jordan River and the Dead Sea and The Galilee and the wilderness and the Shfela or the lowlands, all over this beautiful land where God revealed himself and where the scriptures originate. We filmed in just lush, gorgeous hi-definition these places and then brought the stories and the history to life through these short films and that is Promised Land and that is now available at www.DailyAudioBible.com.

But, of course, we’re also working toward the official launch of the Reframe book October 1st. Since we’ve got two things going on at the same time we thought man, how can we make these both work, where we’re giving as much as we can give? And so we’ve established this website, www.ReframeBook.com. If you go there and grab a copy of Reframe, you will get my first book, Passages, the unabridged audio edition immediately and you will also get a $10 voucher that you can use to get Promised Land, our way of saying thank you for supporting and getting the message of Reframe out, so check it out: Www.ReframeBook.com.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at the website, www.DailyAudioBible.com. There is a link in the upper right-hand corner and profoundly thank you, profoundly. That is how the Daily Audio Bible exists at all, how all of the servers keep churning out the spoken Word of God constantly without ceasing all around the world, so thank you for your partnership there. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, there are a number of numbers you can use.
1. If you're in the Americas, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.
2. If you're in the UK or Europe, 44, 20-3608-8078.
3. If you are in Australia that part of the world, 61, 3-8820-5459.
4. And if you're in Africa, 27, 21-300-2728 is the number to call.

And that's it for today. That’s it for this week. I'm Brian. I love you. I’ll be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports:

My name is Brittany. I have two prayer requests from two different friends. Please pray for Vince. His child is battling cancer and please pray for Jada and her mom and brother. They were in a car accident and Jada is a little girl and has brain swelling that will not go down. Please pray that the swelling goes down and that she will be responsive. I also ask that we pray together that God's praying hands will be on their lives, that if they don’t know him, that he will touch them through these tragedies and we ask that he will fully restore these children. I'm also asking that you will pray for me. I am a teacher overseas. I have not lived in the same country as my family for four years and lately I'm yearning to go home and I think I will go home to Virginia at the completion of my contract in June. For the first time, I am very homesick and at the same time very blessed. I love my job, my students and my friends and I want to make the most out of my last year in China, but I'm very, very homesick. So I would just ask for your prayer. I pray as I listen to these requests daily and I just want to thank you.

Hey everybody. This is Pelham from Cullman, Pelham and Molly from Cullman. Haven’t called in a while and we’re on our third week of marriage and one thing we’ve both learned is that it has been hard to stay in our spiritual routines. We’ve fallen right out of our spiritual routines. I forgot that I needed prayer. I forgot that I needed like-minded people to know what is going on with me, so I need everybody out there to pray for me and my wife and to pray for our strength and to pray for our security in Christ and for us to return to the healthy patterns in our lives and the things that keep us centered and that keep us healthy and whole. We want to have a baby one day and we’ve got to make a place that a baby would be safe in and I need your prayers for that. Thank you everyone. Hope you're having a great day.

Greetings in the name of Christ, DAB family. This is Deborah in Northern California and its Wednesday, September 9th. I just finished listening to today's prayers. I wanted to call in for Tamberly and Warren in northern Nevada. I'm so sorry to hear that human resources was not able to help with Warren's situation. I'm a human resources manager. I think that sometimes supervisors and managers get gung ho about things that probably shouldn’t be done. Anyway, I pray and I hope the family will be in agreement with me that this supervisor will have a change of heart, that God will touch him and that he will realize that there is no need to single out Warren. Please bless Warren, that he will have a spirit of peace and he will be able to hold his head high and do his work to the best of his ability and that his performance will be beyond compare. Please bless Tamberly as she is stressed from this situation. Please give her peace. Let her know that she needs to let go and let the Lord take over. Please help her to have the spirit of peace in her classroom, that she can love and cherish the children that are in her charge. And please bless them as a family. We say these things in the name of Jesus, amen.

Hello Dabbers. This is Christopher in Crescent City. I mentioned my wife’s employment situation in an earlier call. She does get a severance package on her way out the door, which is a blessing, but the employer is trying to shrink a certain bonus in the severance package, a project completion bonus by two-thirds because they are saying they should only have to pay for one year of work on a project she worked on for three years. So if you could apply prayer to both the payout and to her emotional state about it that would be great. We want to show the superiority and life-lifting Christ through every trial and every stitch, even the small ones. I have another thing that __________. It is a great tragedy and we need your prayers. There is a friend of a friend in Rockford, IL whose daughter killed herself this weekend and did so while he was in the __________. It is difficult for me to imagine a trauma that fast,, but I know we can apply the blood of Christ and administrate the Holy Spirit to that situation. So please do so. Thanks Dabbers and be blessed.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Crystal from Maryland, sending my love, praying with you, along with all your prayers. Today I just want to just respond to Caleb from Ohio whose prayer was played on September 3rd and he called in to pray for Michelle. His prayer just touched my heart. I felt it was so genuine and from his heart. It touched my heart and I just wanted to say good job, Caleb! I lifted you up in prayer as you lifted someone else up in prayer and that is just the beauty of this community. Thank you, Brian and Jill and the whole team who make this possible and I could just call in and express myself. I am so thankful to be part of this community and so thankful to be able to communicate with you anytime. So God bless everyone. I send all my love. This is Crystal from Maryland and I’ll talk to you again soon.

Hello family. I was a little behind but wanted to respond to Mike of Sycamore regarding the truck driver that went missing then a few calls later heard that he had been found, however, in jail. As an over the road driver myself, this field of work faces many challenges, with isolation being right up there at the top. While I am a team driver along with the husband, I totally understood some of the challenges this young man faced. My heart broke with the possibility of an accident, but then rejoiced in his safety and now I look forward and am hopeful for a change in his life. Sinner, hearing your call was like opening the front door and welcoming in a long, lost friend. My soul felt at home praying with you again. Whether you call in often or not, know that you are often thought of and prayed for by me. Finally, Brian and Jill, Jill, you crack me up. I honestly laughed out loud as I was driving. Here's to hoping that your private read was awesome. I love you guys, all of you, family, and I’m grateful to stand alongside and support this ministry financially. God bless. This is Sue from America's highway.

Hi DAB family. This is Shenosh from Texas. It's Wednesday, September 9th and I had called in a couple of times about my dad who was in the ICU and he passed away today. Of course, it's really hard and not really the outcome I was praying for and hoping for, but I'm really trying to stay focused on the fact that no matter what, God is good and God is worthy of my trust and if you could just pray that as my family and I grieve the loss of my father who was an amazing man and so grateful to have been his daughter and to know him, but this is hard, that I just don’t to lose sight of the fact that God is good and God can be trusted.
