Feeling so alone
|

I would like prayer for the loneness I have found myself in. Children are grown and gone, no real friends. I keep trying to keep a positive attitude and know that God is with me always, but its so hard. No one calls to see how I'm doing. I still work 3 days a week, but when I'm not working I don't see or hear from anyone. Would love to just have a friend to talk with sometime. Please pray for God to bless me in this area and time of my life. Thank-you.

Hi Susie,
I'll be praying for you. I know from experience that loneliness can definitely be hard. I imagine, as a parent, you have been used to always having someone around, so being alone, like you are now, is quite a change, but know that we are praying for God to fill the loneliness you now feel, and feel free to reach out to the community whenever you need to.
May God keep you in His grace and peace.

Hi Susie, the DAB prayer line is a community you can reach out to. I pray that you will be able to discover this and find God fearing and loving friends. Share your concerns and worries through this prayer line and people will help you. Please know that I will also pray for your concerns and that you can find people you can grow close to God with.

Have you looked in to any volunteer opportunities? I always feel better helping others and its a great way to meet caring friends. I will be praying for you.

where do you live? maybe join a moms in prayer group..i have one here in Switzerland where I am living now, and it has been a blessing in so many ways..plus you will be an intecessor for other kids and their schools!!
they are all over the world..check it out online, hope this was of some help. God bless you today and the rest of your days!!PRAISE GOD because you are NEVER truly alone...don't let the enemy tell you those lies, and that I totally understand and can relate to!!!

Hi Susie, just came across your post. I am right there with you my Sistah. I too am a recent empty-nester and although I have been preparing for years for this stage in my life it can be hard some days to come to grips with the fact that all of my children are gone out on their own. I have no friends to hang out with just a couple acquaintances that I correspond with from time to time but no one that visits or calls to see if I need anything though I've been unemployed for the past year. So you see you not alone in you situation I do how it feels to be alone and like no one cares. However, I you'd like I can be that voice you need to hear from regularly, your choice. I recently started coming onto the DAB site to see if there is someone out there in this large community that I can develop a genuine friendship. But I'll am allowing the Lord to be my guide and develop my discernment when it comes to the matter of the heart. We can easily offend and not realize it and as Christians we can be so unholy toward one another. But my prayer for you Susie is that you find something that interests you to do along with listening to the Word and Soothing Worship music (I listen on YouTube very often) And if you are not depressed like I am a lot of the time I will get out of the house and do something like go for a nature walk. I live on an island so I go by the bay/beach and find a shaded tree and watch and listen to the waves as it hits the shoreline. Sometimes I read or talk to my Father about things or whatever comes to mind. So my prayer for you is that he Lord leads you to or brings someone into you life to share in the blessings of our Lord and Savior and the trials of life. This too shall pass my Sistah just persevere.
