Today is September 17th. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It is an honor to be here with you today and so thrilled to have this time together, orienting ourselves through his Word and excited to see what God will speak through his Word today. We’re reading from the English Standard Version, and we’re in the book of Isaiah.

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for your Word. Thank you for another day to journey through your Word. Thank you for the promise of salvation found in your Word. Thank you for the comfort that there is a future and our hope will not be cut off from the Proverbs today. We press into that. We open ourselves fully to that, knowing that those things are true as we enter into relationship with you, as we walk with you, as we take heed to the full context of what you were saying in the Proverbs, that not our hearts envy sinners, continue in the fear of the Lord all the day because there is a future in that, and our hope will not be cut off. So Holy Spirit, come. This is our desire. This is what we are incapable of in our own strength. We need the life of Christ, the power of the resurrection within us, and we welcome it fully and open ourselves up to it fully. Come Jesus, we pray, in your precious, almighty, powerful, beautiful name. Amen.

Hey Dabbers. This is Slave of Jesus in North Carolina. Holy Spirit, let's roll! Lord, I thank you for the job opportunities you’ve given me over the last six months. I thank you for bringing me home safely and for the times that I was able to even spend with my family. It looked like I was going to be gone, away for a year. Grateful for my temporary hold-over reserve job that at least will keep us from being destitute and I thank you for the job interview that my wife is going on today. And I thank you for all of this, in Jesus’ name. Nice singing by Blessed Like Me! Man, keep that up. Call in and sing some more. That was pretty cool. Lord, I ask you to… Oh, I bought my Reframe book. I am excited about that. Dropped a whopping $12 on that. That's quite a deal. I'm looking forward to seeing that. God, I ask you to watch over the Reframe project so that it can just take off. Lord, I ask you to watch over Show Me God's Love, his family. I ask you to turn something that seems like it is just horrible and turn it into something good, something great, not something good, something great, in Jesus’ name. Amen. And amen to Show Me God's Love about praying out loud. You know I love that. The silent prayers and meditations on actually prayer, I like that. This is also for Sam from Vancouver. You had the extended family that is kind of struggling a little bit, and speaking about doubt, as Blessed Like Me, Lord, help him find a weapon scripture about doubt and ask him to memorize that and ask him to meditate on that at night so that he can be the powerful warrior you made him to be. Hi there Daily Audio Bible family. This is Karen calling from __________ Canada. I just want to say that I love you all so very much. I’ve been listening for probably about five years now and I'm calling in for a prayer request. I have a legal __________ going on with my kids’ dad and it has been going on for a decade, so it has been a long, long walk. So we’re kind of coming to an end and I just found out that the justice is not going to… We’re trying to work out a consent order, an agreement, and I’ve been waiting for three months to hear something from the other party and I'm not getting any response. So I just found out that the judge is insisting we go to a trial in October unless we come to an agreement. I'm at the point where I’ve had to let my lawyer go a couple weeks ago, so I am unrepresented. He is right now, but I know he can lawyer up. So I'm just asking you for prayer to come to an agreement on this because it’s just gone on for such a long time and I basically have had… My daughter is living with him pretty much full time now and she is… It is very scary. I don’t know. She might take her own life or something. There are just a lot of complications there. So anyways, I ask for your prayer. There has got to be a breakthrough. When I met Brian at the Daily Audio Bible in Canada, he said it is going to be alright and that is what I always remember, so please, if anybody has any prayers, if you could send me some prayers, I would love that. So I'm probably at my two minutes. I love you all so very much. God bless.

Hi DAB family. This is Tina from Knoxville. I'm just checking in. I just want to say thank you to Brian and Jill. I just appreciate you guys so much and I appreciate this whole community. Such a blessing it has been to me. I’ve been listening now for a few months every day and it has definitely changed the course of my life and the direction in which my life was going. Just the power of prayer and being part of the community, that is just so wonderful. I want you to know that I do listen to your prayers and I pray for all of you, all of you out there that call in, and all of the people that don’t call in, I also pray for you, too. I just want to ask for prayer for out in California (I'm actually from California) they are having devastating fires out there right now. I have a good friend of mine and her brother Noah is a firefighter. He has been deployed out there. She hasn’t talked to him in a couple days and the fires are really, really bad. So she is very concerned. If you guys could just keep Noah and all the firefighters and paramedics and all the emergency workers out there in California, if you could keep them in your prayers, it would greatly be appreciated. The weather out there is so dry and, of course, them going through the drought is not helping. So please, family, if you could just lift Noah up and all the firefighters, it would be greatly appreciated. I would just like to say a little prayer and a verse. I have a verse here. I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you. Philippians 1:3-4. Thank you for those who pray for me, Father. Thank you for putting me in their hearts and minds. I know that at times someone is keeping me in their prayers and I don’t have the faintest clue who. It could be my hairdresser, chiropractor, pastor, or even someone I’ve just met. Perhaps the checker at the grocery store or…

Hi, this is RW calling from the Seattle area, long time Daily Audio Bible listener, first-time caller. Brian, thank you for the DAB. What a wonderful, wonderful thing it is. I enjoy it every day. I’ve enjoyed it for years and that brings me to my point. Even though I’ve enjoyed it for years, I have not supported the broadcast. That ended today. Hi family. It's Rumbii. Today is the 15th of September. I just wanted to give you an update. A few days ago, just yesterday I realized that one of my main problems is fear. I ask you to pray for me and help me pray that the spirit of fear is released from me because it really is tormenting me and I think that is what is affecting the other parts of my life. Fear of being alone, of never finding someone who loves me, fear of not being successful in my career, fear of my brother not being successful. I'm just so afraid of so many things. So I ask you to help me to pray so that the spirit of fear that seems to want to dominate my life would be removed and be replaced with love and trust in God. Help me to release all this anger and bitterness that is caused by fear that God will not show up. Please help me to pray that this is replaced by love and trust in God in every single area of my life and in every part of my being. Please help me to pray that I'm released from the spirit of fear. And thank you for your continued prayers. I really do feel them working in my life. I'm always tempted to not call in because the devil says I kind of annoy everyone with my prayers, but I still call in hoping that at least one person will hear me and help me to pray for myself and my family. Today my heart went out to Tina, praying for your cousin's son Joey who got shot in the head. We’re praying. I know __________ of praise for God's mercy and know that God can work miracles and believing God to heal him and a miracle, in the name of Jesus.
