Isaiah 37:1-38:22 ~ Galatians 6:1-18 ~ Psalm 65:1-13 ~ Proverbs 23:24
Today is the 21st day of September. Welcome the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It’s wonderful to be here with you today. There’s no place I'd rather be than around our global campfire, just spending some time decompressing, allowing the Word of God to wash over us. That’s awesome. So, with that said, were reading from the New International Version this week.

Prayer

Father, thank you for your good, good Word. Thank you for the richness of it, the way that it feeds us, the way that it orients us to You, the way that it draws us back, pulls us back, compels us back to Your heart. We so easily forget and move in other directions, but You, You are relentless in Your pursuit of us. In every conceivable way You continue to come for us and so we come. We love You. We worship You. We adore You. You are glorious. You are our only hope and even as You’vet given us counsel today from the writings of Paul, we take ownership for ourselves. We cannot find an identity by comparing ourselves to others. We must own our own relationship with you, own our own actions. We will not live in deception. You can’t be mocked. We reap what we sow. This is what You’vet told us. And so we want to sow the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, in the fields of our hearts that we may reap that crop, an ever increasing measure. Come, Holy Spirit, we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Hey DAB family. This is Danny from St. Petersburg, FL checking in. I’m alive and well. I’ve been away from the DAB for almost going on 2 years now, but you know life gets busy, things fall away, either permanently or temporally, but as of September 15th, I am back listening to the DAB and I couldn’t be happier. What prompted me to come back was our 4-year-old son is starting to ask questions about God. He says he wants to get to know God and I immediately thought of DAB Kids and I’ve been playing the DAB Kids for him when I pick him up from school every day and he really enjoys it; and we’re listening to the local contemporary Christian radio station. He likes hearing songs about God and the DJs pray quite a bit, so it's really a good thing for all of us, really, because I’ve kind of gotten out of the practice of reading the Bible and praying, not completely, but I haven’t been praying as fervently as I used to. But I’m thankful that he came to us; number one, so I can help him learn about God, and number two, he actually helps me and my wife get back with God. So, it’s great to be back. I am not on Facebook very much at all, but if anybody has Twitter, feel free to add me: @aj4dg. I’m on Twitter quite a bit. Anyway, I hope you’re all doing well and I love you all and we’ll talk soon.

Hey family, this is Cherry C., Cherry Pie. I’m calling in for an urgent prayer request. I’m trying not to be so emotional and cry so I can get this out, but most of you should know I haven’t seen my grandbaby in about 2 years. I’m just asking for any grandmother, any mother out there especially, I’m asking for the prayers of the grandmother and mother to God to intervene so I can see my grandbaby. I’m not only just asking for the mothers and grandmothers, but I know if I got a praying grandmother and a praying mother there’s nothing like a mother’s prayer over her child or grandchild. She’s my firstborn. I’m just distraught. I haven’t seen her in 2 years and I’m just asking you guys to please pray that God intervenes, that I’ll be able to see my grandbaby. I love you guys. I know you got my back. I just ask y’all to please pray that I can see my grandbaby. I haven’t seen her in 2 years. So I’m asking you to cover me in prayer, that God works this out. I thank you guys so much. I love each and every one of you guys. I continue to pray for you and I really appreciate you. Thank you.

Hello Daily Audio Bible family. This is Sinner Matthew 6:6. Several of you have now remarked about my moniker and how you don’t feel it fits or it was confusing, and so for Dr. John in Jordan, for Drew in the Bay Area, and Victoria S. in Maryland and others, I wanted to respond. So let’s just say that in my life the moniker ‘Sinner' is well earned, however, I did pray about this and the Holy Spirit has a way of clubbing me over the head with things when He wants something done. I think that’s because I’m too dense to get it if He’s subtle. It’s been a significant to me in my life when 3 people who unprompted and unrelated give me the same spiritual message in a short period of time. When combined with prayer, I pay attention because I think God speaks to us through those around us and in our lives. So in response to God’s not so subtle nudge, going forward I’ll use a slightly modified moniker. When I asked Him about it, He reminded me that while I am a sinner, I’m also redeemed. This is who we are, so we were bought at a price and we are redeemed. I’m just a voice. I’m a voice crying from the sea of humanity, a voice crying out to God, a voice crying out for those whose hearts and souls need lifting up. I am a sinner, redeemed.

Hello, my name is Cassandra. I’m from San Diego. I know I just left a message, but please use this one instead. I have been suffering from schizophrenia for 9 years. My husband has been so good and so helpful to me, but it’s tough on him and I would like for your prayers for my husband to give him peace and strength; and prayers for me, for my healing. It’s a hard road to go through and I’ve been hospitalized for it so many times, I can’t even recall how many. I’m starting a new group program and I’d like you to pray that it helps me and that what I learn I can share with my husband to help him as well. So my family, my greatest, greatest champions and, of course, thank you, Jesus, for bringing me so far and for not letting me die. So many times I tried to commit suicide. I pray that God will take this away from me, take this away from my family, my husband and his family. It’s a hard road to go through, and I feel so bad for them because they have to deal with this too. Thank you for all of your prayers. Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and words, and thank you, Jesus, for being with us and hearing and answering our prayers, amen.

Hi Daily Audio Dabbers. My name is Morgan from Hudson, MA. My friend got me interested in listening to this last year. I recently came back to the church my junior year of college and I’ve kind of just been, you know… I really had a rough road and I want to thank God for everything He has done. One thing I do need prayer for though is my mental disorder. I have bipolar and it cripples me on a lot of my bad days and I just need the support of…you know, God is always with me, but sometimes it gets really hard and I’m calling out for that support of any of you who have family members who suffer from bipolar, any mental illness, that there is a support group. You don’t have to battle quietly. I’m here. God’s always there and prayers would be very helpful because it’s very hard living with a mental disorder that cripples you on your lowest days. Thank you. I love you all. God bless. Bye.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Sara from Arizona. I called last October and I had you guys pray for me for the Lord kind of putting on my heart a move to Ireland and I had a lot of support, a lot of family kind of reach out to me and it has just been really rad walking with you guys through this process, so I’m actually leaving in 3 weeks to go to Ireland for 3 months and then we’ll see what doors the Lord is going to open with that. So I would just love if you guys would pray for me, just keep me lifted up in prayer. It is a really big step and so far I’m just really seeing the Lord provide and there’s still so much more provision that needs to come in, so I’m just really walking in faith, abiding in faith with that, so I’m really excited to see what the Lord is going to be doing. If you guys could just stand with me in prayer and just pray that the Lord shows me where he’s going to plug me in and what I’m going to be doing and stuff over there, for his guiding and directing and his perfect will in this situation. Thanks so much family. Love you guys. We’ll talk soon. Bye.
