Isaiah 45:11-48:11 ~ Ephesians 4:1-16 ~ Psalm 68:19-35 ~ Proverbs 24:3-4
Today is the 25th day of September. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian and, as always, what a pleasure that we can come together like this. I mean, come on! We get to do this. We get to push back all of the things that are crowding our lives and just center ourselves in God's Word, feel his arms wrap around us. What an honor and a privilege to be together with you, with the scriptures, and with the presence of our Father. So we’re reading from the New International Version this week.

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for your Word. Oh, thank you, Father, for your Word, its guidance, its comfort, its rebuke, its counsel, its friendship. We invite your Holy Spirit to plant it deep into our lives and we declare it as true. We declare what you said today in the book of Isaiah. We do turn to you to be saved. You are God. There is no other. You have sworn with your own mouth with all integrity the word that will not be revoked. Every knee will bow before you. Every tongue will confess in you, Lord, our deliverance and strength. We declare from your Word the Psalms. You are to be praised. You are our Savior who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves. From the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death. Come Holy Spirit, plant these truths and the comfort of your Word deep in our hearts, we pray, in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Announcements

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is the website. It is home base. It certainly is where you find out what’s going on around here and plenty on the itinerary – some travel, of course, coming up a couple of days from now, this Sunday. I’ll be in Fort Smith, AR at First Presbyterian Church and looking forward to our time together there. So if you are in that region or nearby, be sure to come and say hello. Their website is www.1pres.org and I am certain that you can get more information there, so check it out if you're in the area.

I’ll be speaking at the Story Conference later in the week next week. Then the 11th of October, Reframe comes to Nashville, right here in Spring Hill. So Nashville, gosh, I want to meet you. Right in my hometown it is so rare. Come out and say hello for sure. I’ll be speaking at SouthView Church in Spring Hill, TN. Their website is www.SouthView.cc and you can get more information there.

Speaking of Reframe, we have been giving away everything we can find to give you in order to I guess compel you to grab a copy of Reframe or grab some copies to give away or grab some copies to go through together with your friends because, man…you know, it gets to the point where I don’t know what else to say without it seeming, I don’t know, pitchy and it's just not. This message saved so much in my heart. I know if you’ve been walking with the Lord for a while, this is going to do the same thing because that is its mission. If you're new to following Jesus, well then this is going to save you a lot of years of trying to figure out things.

So anyway, we’ve been trying to find things we can give away and we are able to do this until the end of September which is only a few short days more. If you’ll grab a copy of Reframe at www.ReframeBook.com and then come back to www.ReframeBook.com and paste your receipt code on the page, we’ll give you instant access to the unabridged audio edition of my first book called Passages – How Reading the Bible in a Year will Change Everything for You. You’ll get chapter 1 of Reframe to get started right away while you're waiting the couple of days that it takes to ship it to you, and you’ll get $10 off of the brand new Promised Land – Essential Pilgrim's Edition which is truly…well, it's stunning in its beauty because the land of the Bible is a beautiful, starkly diverse place. It is just a master class in biblical history and archeology. It is the closest thing to being there that you can get. So we’ll give you a $10 voucher off for that. So, man, check out www.ReframeBook.com if you haven’t already.

And there are some things coming up having to do with Reframe in the coming month. If you are a Periscope user, follow us at Daily Audio Bible. If you are saying “I have never heard of Periscope” and it sounds odd, it is. It really is. Periscope is an app. Go to your app store, whatever device it is that you are using. Search for Periscope. Download the app and what you’ll find is it’s basically an instant on, live streaming of video technology. We are going to use it and form a Reframe Virtual Book Club. I guess that is what it will be. It will be certainly a live get-together where we can talk about Reframe as we’re going through it together. So I’ll go through and just talk a little bit about the chapters and the background and some stories and then we’ll jump over to our new Reframe Facebook Group and continue the conversation where we can post and see each other in pictures and stuff like that. The new Reframe Facebook Group is www.Facebook.com/Groups/ReframeBook, so be sure to go over there and join and we’ll just all…if you get the Periscope thing and follow Daily Audio Bible and join the Reframe Book Group, then we will be all set as we move into next month. We’ll start this in a couple of weeks.

I’ve been seeing your posts. When your book arrives you take a picture of it and I’ve seen it and it just warms my heart in ways that I can’t really put words to. Just seeing that you're immersing yourself into the message and the things that you're saying that it is bringing up in your heart, some of you just sitting down and reading the whole thing in one sitting, that is just incredible. So here's the deal, if you have the book and you're reading the book or you’ve read the book, would you take a moment to go back to wherever it is that you got it and post a review for it? What you are doing is investing into the lives of people who will encounter this material, who aren’t necessarily a part of what we’re doing at Daily Audio Bible, aren’t part of this community yet, but they will be. They belong here with us. They will be. It is little things like this, believe it or not.

For years when we were only on iTunes we posted reviews there all the time and I cannot tell you how many people. There is almost nowhere that I go that somebody doesn’t come up and say that is the story. I was looking for something. I didn’t know what it was. I thought I’d find something about the Bible and bam! I found a community of people that I'm so connected to. We’re just a family here. So if you go back and post a review for Reframe, that would be so, so helpful. Thank you for that.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at www.DailyAudioBible.com. Again I'm saying I can’t thank you enough, but I can’t thank you enough. We don’t exist any other way. There is no other way to keep all these servers spinning. There is no other way to keep the lights on. So thank you for your partnership. There is a link in the upper right-hand corner of the home page. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

And that’s it for today. I’m Brian. I love you and I will be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Hello Daily Audio Bible family. This is Becky in Orlando and, yes, I am back from Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. I had a fabulous vacation with my husband, my dad and my stepmom, Mary. Thank you so much for praying for all of us. I am still praying for their salvation. They have not yet been saved, but I know in my heart that they will be some day, so I'm just sticking to the Word of God and I'm just going to keep on praying for them. I had a fabulous vacation and I'm super behind now in Daily Audio Bible, but I was listening on the way to work and I heard Gina's call. I am praying for your cousin's son. I can’t believe he was shot. I am praying for his healing. I’ve also been praying for Bart, for his job. That is really great news that you got that interview and I'm praying for the next series of interviews and your exam. I'm sorry, that wasn’t for Bart. I'm praying for Andrew in the Bay Area about that. Walta, I had a dream about you last night. I dreamt that we met at Starbucks. You were on my heart even while I was sleeping, so I'm still praying for you. I'm praying for your son and for your husband to come back from Romania. So I hope all is well and I love all of you guys lots. I will talk to you soon. I'm going to play catch-up today, so it will be a fabulous day of listening to Daily Audio Bible. Alright, bye guys. Have a great day. Bye.

Hey, good morning Daily Audio Bible family. This is Debbie in Des Moines. Wanted to give you an update. I had called about my daughter Courtney a couple weeks ago. She had started shaking very bad and had trouble with her left side, couldn’t hold a phone. She went to see the doctor. She has the beginnings of carpal tunnel combined with fatigue and dehydration, so things are not as bad as what I had imagined in my head, but just recently I took 2-year-old little Mindy to her checkup and she is far behind. She should have a 50-word vocabulary and she has two. She also, the doctor said, seems like she may have signs of autism and possible Asperger's, so Courtney is on a waiting list to see a specialist. They have to have Mindy diagnosed so treatment can begin. My prayer is that waiting list is 1-year long because Courtney is on government assistance when it comes to health care, so that is a very long waiting period, a long time to think about and worry, so my prayer, if you would, is to reduce that waiting time so they can get in, get a diagnosis so that Mindy can start to go through therapy. They already are going to have her in speech therapy. I just pray peace for my daughter and my son-in-law, Chris, and their little family, but other than that, life moves forward, doesn’t it? I love you all. Bye.

Hello DAB family. This is Redeemed in Massachusetts. I hope you're all doing well. Sinner Redeemed, love the name. Thanks for your prayers. Thanks everyone for following God. It's just a wonderful, wonderful life that we live. I mean, it's a tough life, of course, being in the world, but we’re blessed to have this Daily Audio Bible, so thank you, Brian and Jill. I covet your prayers. I called in. It was a little…it didn’t sound so clear. I called in asking for prayers for my mother. My father died on August 16th and we are trying to renovate her house or clean it out first, a 7 bedroom house, and there is so much work to be done. My brother lives there and he has an 8-year-old daughter and he's mentally ill. He lives by the spirit of lies and I do not know why I make it my responsibility to tell him the truth all the time, but when I do that it doesn’t help because obviously he can’t see the truth. This is just talking about silly little things such as moving something or taking something. It's just crazy. Anyway I need to live with self-control. Grady from Texas, I love you, Brother. I’ve been praying for you. I hope your job situation has changed and you do not work for that same gentleman that you worked for. I am lifting you up. I know that you know that God didn’t give you a spirit of fear – 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that. He gave you a sound mind, so ingest the Word. Pray on it. Believe it and you will be blessed, my Brother. The devil will not have any power in your life as long as you don’t give it to him. I pray that you would read the Word, just the Word and turn from the fear you might feel.

Hey everyone. My name is Thomas and I'm just calling because I need some prayers. I recently downloaded the podcast for the first time. I work 10-hour shifts and it's because of this podcast that I found myself crying out to the Lord on the floor in the bathroom at my house and really feel like he's blessed me now and I'm saved. I just wish everyone would pray for me because I’ve been kind of lost in my faith and I don’t really know where to go and I don’t really have anybody to turn to except for you guys, so if you could help me. Thank you.

Hello Daily Audio Bible family. This is Regit, your brother calling from Iraq. I'm calling for two things. Number one, thank you so much, Jill and Ezekiel, for stepping in for Brian. It was so nice to hear your voices and the laughter at the end. It made my day. The other thing I want to say, Brian, please take time to rest. It is very improvement for you to rest. You're doing a lot and we really appreciate and we thank God for you and we really, really need you to rest and take time for yourself and, if possible, be on a schedule where every week Jill can sit in for you. Okay, the other thing I'm calling for is to ask for prayer for my daughter. She is very sick. She is quite unwell and I'm really praying. She is called Felicity. Please, brothers and sisters, pray for her and that God gives her healing. Doctors are not finding any sign of sickness or whatever is disturbing her. She is having very strong pain, stomachache. We don’t really know what is going on. Thank you very much. I love you. God bless you. Bye. Talk to you later. Bye.

Hi family. It's Mary from the UK. First of all, I would like to give you a praise report. I phoned in a few weeks ago about a number of concerns. First was about my son who had recently graduated, so family, please rejoice with me. He has a job involved in designing apps for smart phones. So thank you so much. That’s a really good __________. Secondly, for family harmony. Things have moved on and that has been better. Family, last time I rang, I rang about my concerns about my daughter and she was being investigated for problems with her joints. She had a scan. They found inflammation. She is now on a course of steroids to try and suppress that. My daughter that I'm ringing about, she has gone to university. She went on Saturday and I had a phone call from her this evening in tears. She has gone to __________ University. She is in a hall of residents and it is really noisy. She hasn’t slept for 3 nights. She wants to come home and study from home. Family, I just ask you to pray for her, pray for the people around her, and pray for us, peace and to help us to have wisdom and to have God's guidance in her way forward. It is such a big change and we __________ much as a family. I just want to feel the support of you as a family in supporting her. She is nearly 200 miles away and just really upset. Thank you. It's just so good to have you as family, so good for us all to have Jesus as our Savior. Bless you.
