Isaiah 54:1-57:13 ~ Ephesians 6:1-24 ~ Psalm 70:1-5 ~ Proverbs 24:8
Today is the 28th of September. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian and it's a pleasure to be here with you. Had a great time in Arkansas, so nice the meet and see so many of you coming out. Thank you to those of you who actually drove a little ways to come say hi. Appreciate that a ton. So I’ll be flying home this morning. Probably while you're listening to this I am 30,000 feet above the earth. We listen to this at so many different times, so who knows? Who knows? Maybe I'm home. I'm not yet as I sit here, but I may be by the time you hear this. But let's not confuse the issue. We’re here to dive in for another day in the scriptures, another step forward in our journey through the Bible this year. We’re doing that using the Easy To Read Version this week.

Prayer

Father, thank you for your Word. Thank you for your Word! We invite your Word as we’re just getting going into this new week to transform us and, yes, there is this slow methodical every day change that’s going on and we recognize it. We're far enough into this year that we can look back at the beginning of the year and realize it’s not the same as it was. Immersing ourselves in your Word and in community and inviting your Holy Spirit has transformed us in ways that we can see already. We ask for you to transform us this week. We ask for you to come for us this week. We open ourselves fully to what you might speak through your Word, the things that you’ve been going after in our hearts, the things that we’ve been kind of fighting you on. You’ve been slowly prying our fingers off those things and some of them we’d like to let go of permanently and irreversibly this week. There is no limit to what you can do. There is no end to your love and compassion and there is no end to your authority. You are the sovereign God and we have simply to release control to you. So Jesus, come. Come for us. We are open to you fully. We need you desperately. It will never be any other way. You are our only hope. And so these things that you’ve been speaking into from all over the place, from your Word, from everywhere, you’ve got our attention. Come, Jesus. We bow to you and your authority. Show us by the power of your Holy Spirit how to let go and how to walk away and how to walk forward. We ask this in your precious name. Amen.

Announcements

Www.DailyAudioBible.com, of course, that’s home-base. Of course, that’s where you find out what’s going on around here. It’s kind of a Reframe time in terms of what’s going on around here. Reframe officially releases (even though some of you are deep into it), officially is everywhere this Thursday, October 1st. It’s been quite a journey so far and I’m looking forward to that day. Thank you for all of you who have supported the book so far and told others about it.

I’ll be speaking at the Story Conference. That takes place here in Nashville this year on October 1st (the release day) for a little while. I’m looking forward and then looking forward, of course, to Oct 11th coming up, I get to do the first Reframe talk after the book is everywhere, and I’ll do that at SouthView Church. Their website is www.SouthView.cc, so be sure to check that out and come say hello, Nashville. I certainly do want to meet you right here in my home town, so be sure to come say hello.

If you haven’t gotten your copy of Reframe yet, there’s only really a couple more days where we have these give-away things where we’ve kind of gotten together and thought, ‘what of value can we give? When we ask somebody to do something, how can we give more than we’re asking?’ And so we have Passages, my first book (the unabridged audio edition of that), as well as $10 off the Promise Land - Essential Pilgrim’s Edition which is epic (and that is not an understatement), available until the end of this month. So jump over to www.ReframeBook.com and get yours.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at www.DailyAudioBible.com and in that I can’t thank you enough. Your partnership there is why any of us are here and that is no joke. There is no other way to do what we’re doing, so thank you for your partnership. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

That’s all for today. I’m Brian, signing off from Arkansas. I’ll be waiting for you’re here, tomorrow from the rolling hills of Tennessee. Have a wonderful, beautiful, overwhelmingly, lovely, Spirit-filled, Jesus-centered day.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

[Singing] Oh how I love the name Jesus, Oh how I love the name Jesus. It’s the sweetest name I know. Oh how I love the name Jesus, Oh how I love the name Jesus. It’s the sweetest name I know. I know. Oh how I love the name Jesus, Oh how I love the name Jesus. It’s the sweetest name I know.” Do I have any worshippers out there? Do I have anybody that really, really loves the name Jesus, the name of Jesus, every tongue shall confess, every knee shall bow, every head shall raise up in just pure love and adorement of our Lord Jesus and Savior Jesus Christ? Any worshippers out there? [Singing] "Oh how I love the name Jesus, Oh how I love the name Jesus. It’s the sweetest name I know." Hi, this is Blessed Like Me and the reason why I say my name is Blessed Like Me is because there’s power and authority in the things you say about yourself. If you say that you’re blessed, and I didn’t say that for my blessing, I said that for your blessing because any time you're reflecting on my name Blessed Like Me, you’re saying that you’re blessed just like me. The power of life is in the tongue. The power of death is in the tongue, but we’re not speaking death, we’re speaking life, so you’re blessed, you’re highly favored, you’re looked upon. Thank you, Jill and Brian for this ministry.

Hi family, this is Shannon from Texas, and I need you to please help me pray for my son. He is 17, and he actually just destroyed a bunch of property. He broke a mirror, cut his finger, and ran off down the street, and there’s just so much…I don’t even know how to explain all that’s going on. I really think that it’s drugs. I know he’s used marijuana, but I think it’s more than that now and he blames me for everything and has a lot of hate and resentment towards me. So if you could please help me pray for my son. I love you guys. Thank you. Bye-bye.

Hey fellow Dabbers, this is Joe, The Protector, Servant of the Most High God (like I said before, what other heavenly names I can be granted by our Father). It’s September 24th, 5:23 in the morning, calling in some prayer requests that I’m behind on, as I told you the other day. Anyhow, September 21st, Cherry Pie, Cherry C., we do agree with you in prayer and ask that you are reunited with your daughter and grandchild. We break the chain of this division with the blood and the mighty name of Jesus. Sinner, what a great calling you had, and you are so right that we were all sinners, but by and through the power of Jesus Christ, we were and are redeemed. We as humans have this flaw and imperfection when we sin called self-pity. We love to bathe and wallow in all in it, but when we do that, we’re not allowing the amazing gift that Jesus Christ gave us. The gift of grace. So brother, and all other Dabbers, receive and accept your free gift that God has given us all. Cassandra in San Diego, we pray over you and for your husband as you are going through your struggles with the spirit of schizophrenia. We plead the mighty name of Jesus over you and your husband. We ask for continued strength for both of you until it is bound and cast out and you are free. That’s it.

Good morning DAB family. I am a burning bush that will not be consumed for the glory of our God in Jesus. Perfect love drives out all fear. Father God, we come before you this morning and we thank you, O Lord, for your love, for your unconditional love for all of us, God, and that perfect love that you have that drives out all fear. It also blots out all our iniquities. And so Father, we come before your presence today, allowing ourselves to soak in your love, God. Holy Father, we pray that as we soak in your love and as you cover us with your blood, that in the name of Jesus, everything that is impure, everything that is not of you, Lord, every fear, all the insecurities, all the uncertainties will just be made silent in the name of Jesus. And Father God, we commit this family into your hands, each and every one of us, oh Lord. We just lift the entire family up to you, God, and we pray for Brian and Jill, Lord. I pray that you continue to protect their family, oh God. Keep them safe. Continue to pour your love into them, in the name of Jesus as they __________ it out. We love you, God. We want to love you more. We pray that you reveal the idols that exist in our lives and, God, teach us how to get rid of them, in the name of Jesus. Dispose of them, for you alone are Lord, you alone are God. In Jesus’ name, amen. Love you, family. Rumbii, don’t ever apologize for calling. Love you guys. Bye.

Hi fellow family Dabbers, this is Terry from Baton Rouge. It’s been a while since I’ve called in. A lot going on in my home, but that’s not why I called and I wanted to reach out to Chante from Detroit. I could hear that she’s a strong woman, but she’s overwhelmed by some bills that are behind and her husband needs an income to provide a second income for their family, a $1200 gas/electric bill, the shut-off notice, all these things, and the kids needing things, and tax bill, and I wanted to say to her that I was listening to Brian some days ago and he said, if I recall correctly (forgive me, Brian, if I don’t say it exactly the way you said it), but you’re not leaning against a spider web. You’re leaning against the strong arm of the Lord, and I’m going to be praying for you and asking God to help and just for you, or anyone actually, my email address is tvharrington@gmail.com and I just wanted to create a relationship with Miss Chante and if she wants to reach out to me, maybe I have some suggestions of things that could help her. I’ve been through the very same thing myself. I thank and praise you, Lord, for Chante and her family, and I’m praying that He will bless you. Alright Chante, I hope to hear from you. God bless you and all the others. Bye-bye.

Dear Daily Audio Bible family, my name is Todd from North Carolina. I’ve been listening to DAB since 2013. I’m a first-time caller. We all have our unique journey through life, and that journey includes many seasons, from happiness and joy to sickness and pain, times of extreme blessings and times of great loss. DAB family, I’ve heard many testimonies that have been answered and I’m in a unique journey right now. In the past, I’ve been greatly blessed with favor and success in the corporate world; however, in December 2014, while leading a company division and reporting to the president and CEO, my position along with many others was eliminated in a corporate downsize. That was December 2014 and I’ve now been unemployed without any income for almost 10 months, depleting all emergency funds and even a retirement fund. This life season has become very critical, so I’m reaching out to you for prayer. I don’t believe a job is the source of my income, but Jesus Christ is the source of my income. Like I said, I’ve been a very faithful follower of Christ and faithful to my family, my wife. It’s been a challenging season for our marriage and for our family of six, but I know that God is faithful and God is never late and I’m trusting that during this season and during this challenging time, as I’ve drawn much, much closer and just seeking God’s divine purpose and not mine, that all is going to turn out. DAB family, please say a prayer. It’s been a challenging season, but I just ask that you please pray for God’s divine favor and blessing and increase for my family, according to Proverbs 10:22: The blessing of the Lord maketh us rich and He addeth no sorrow with it. God bless you and thank you very much.

Hello Daily Audio Bible family, this is Loralee, formerly of Savannah, GA, now a resident of Boynton Beach, FL. I am a 9-year listener and follower of the family and I haven’t called in a little while. I’ve been kind of busy with the move and being part of the new church that the Lord has provided well before I moved. I just want to say God bless you, Brian, Jill, family, for being faithful servants of the Lord. Wow, Zekey! I held you when you were 6 months old at a Daily Audio Bible Family Gathering in South Carolina and listen to you! So awesome! I almost wept just hearing your voice. It just created so much joy in my heart and I had to reconnect and welcome all the new listeners to the family and say hello to all the old guys. Hey Annette, my son quit smoking pot too. Awesome! Thank you, God. There’s not a lot of time to go through everything, but I just want to reconnect and welcome all the new ones and when I call back, I’ll give you little more info, because I did want to connect with Pastor Gene and Alleah in Loxahatchee. I’m not too far from you, actually, and I would like to visit you someday. So just to leave you with a prayer, 2 Corinthians 1:3-7: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings for as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.
