Isaiah 66:1-24 ~ Philippians 3:4-21 ~ Psalm 74:1-23 ~ Proverbs 24:15-16
Today is the 2nd of October. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It's great to be here with you today. I had a good time yesterday at the Story Conference in Nashville as we really get into this launch of Reframe. So that was fun and I'm glad to be here with you today from the rolling hills of Tennessee where it is threatening autumn. We’re starting to see it descend upon us, although the fall season is a really beautiful time here in Tennessee. It's good to be here with you today as we move our way to the end of the week. We’re reading from the Easy to Read Version this week and we will conclude the book of Isaiah today. So let's dive in.

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for your Word and another day of life to spend in your Word, allowing it to shift and shape us, allowing it to orient us to you. It is to you that we come. Your Word points us to you and your heart and by the power of your Holy Spirit you beckon us into your presence. So we ask that your Word be planted deep in our lives. Holy Spirit, come. Lead us deeper into Jesus. Lead us into all truth. We ask this in the name of the Risen Christ, amen.

I'm looking forward to being out there on the road in the coming weeks. Man, that is kind of about to get underway. October 11th, which is just a little over a week away, I’ll be here in the Nashville area in Spring Hill at SouthView Church for Reframe. You can visit their website at www.SouthView.cc. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

We will be starting next week at some point, probably about a week from now our Reframe Group Study together using Periscope and our Facebook Group Page. So if you haven’t joined the Reframe Group, be sure to do that: www.Facebook.com/Groups/ReframeBook will get you there. And as far as Periscope, it is just a video technology that we’ll be using where I can get on live, talk a little bit about it and then go over to the Reframe Group where we can continue the conversation. Periscope is free. Just search for it in your app store and you’ll find it. Then once you’ve got it, just search for Daily Audio Bible and bam! Like magic you’ll be notified when we go live. So that will be fun, get ready for that.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at www.DailyAudioBible.com. I am profoundly grateful. It is your partnership that allows the Daily Audio Bible to exist at all. That is no joke. To exist at all. This community has only ever been a communal family affair. We’ve only ever done what we’ve done together, so thank you for your partnership. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

And as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to dial.

And that’s it for today. I’m Brian. I love you and I’ll be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Hi, my name is Maria. I'm calling from New Mexico and I am calling with an opportunity that God put on my heart. In the last few months each of my children have said or done something that just made me overwhelmed with joy and it dawned on me – wow, if I get that much joy from my children from some tiny little thing that they’ve said or done, can you imagine the joy that God has when we sincerely from our hearts praise him and thank him and recognize the incredibly wonderful things he does for us? So I wanted to remind myself every day not to miss the opportunity to bring joy in some way, to pray for the Holy Spirit to help me bring joy in some way to God's heart and to bring praise to his name. I’ve been trying to do that. I don’t get it done every day, but I can try and remember to do that every day, just start my day out thanking God for all the wonderful things he does for us and praising his beautiful name. I wanted to share that. It probably sounds kind of trite, but I wanted to share that. God put it on my heart to share that. I love you all. I’ve been listening for about three years and find incredible comfort and joy and encouragement and strength in the things that I hear and I thank you. I pray along with you during the prayer session. In Jesus’ name I thank each and every one of you and I thank Brian and Jill. I thank our wonderful God for the incredible generosity and mercy given __________.

[Singing] Shema Yisroel, Adonai Elohenu, Adonai Echad. Hey family. This is Rebecca from Nebraska. Just want to say I love you all and I'm praying for your prayer requests as I listen. It is the first night of the Feast of Tabernacles, __________, which Jewish people around the world will be celebrating and for those of us who believe in Jesus, may this be a good reminder of a rehearsal, so to speak, of the second coming of our Lord that we so long for. So I just want to pray, Jesus, that you are the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the one that every heart longs for. We welcome you and we invite you here in our lives today. We welcome and we invite you into our families, into our workplaces, into the marketplaces, in our cities and in our nations. We ask, Lord Jesus, for your kingdom to come, your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. I pray, Lord, for every listener to the DAB, for your blessing, your provision, your healing, your wisdom…

Hi Dabbers, this is Faith from Brisbane, Australia. As I generally listen on the move, I don’t write down the requests, please be assured I pray along with you, with every one of you. __________ who had a friend, Danny with a brain tumor, I, too, know a Danny in Queensland with a brain tumor. May they both be healed in Jesus’ name. I'm calling in to update you on Brett, the 33-year-old husband and dad with bone cancer. It is like he has a never-ending battery. He was in America and developed tummy fluid signifying his organs were shutting down, so he flew home by himself, insisting that his wife and baby do Disneyland, etc. On Wednesday the 9th of September he was given 1 week to live. It is now the 29th. However, when my daughter visited him, that day he was his __________ self and went home shortly after. We visited him the following Saturday and he was making his son a bottle and quite normal. Then the following Wednesday he went out with his mates. He said to my daughter, “I'm not going to hang around here and die, Jo.” They flew to North Queensland to a party and are now home but not taking visitors. I gave Brett a letter in August accompanied by a CD of healing scriptures and explained what I believed about healing and eternal life which he thanked me for. When I asked Jo to send him my love and to ask if I could pray for him, she broke my heart and said, “mom, he's not into prayers.” This hurt but made me ask __________ herself, “well, what do you believe?” Anyway, guys, could you please pray for Jodie and for Brett and also for Jodie's husband. Love you guys and appreciate you very, very much.

Hey DAB family. This is Byron out in Florida. I hope this message is finding you all doing well. I wanted to reach out to Susan. Susan, you called about your daughter Rachel getting ready to take the Japanese fluency test. I'm so overjoyed that you called. We could tell that it was a great burden on your heart to see your daughter be able to get through this testing period and come out well. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to do what this community does best, to lock arms with you, lifting up that burden off your shoulders and presenting it to the most high God who has the situation taken care of. For my part, I'm going to pray on October 6th, November 6th, and December 6th. I’ve got it written down and so we are going to bathe Rachel in prayer to ensure that God moves in that situation and gets the glory and __________. Thank you so much for praying. Take hold of the joy that God has given you to know that he is going to take care of that burden and just don’t hesitate and let us know if there is anything else we can pray for you for. Love you. Love you guys. Take care.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is McKenzie from Massachusetts. This is the first time I'm calling in and I'm very excited to finally have found the courage to give you guys a call. I’ve been listening for about a year and I’ve totally fallen in love with this family. Thank you Brian and Jill for all that you do and for all of the people who are constant callers and who have put it on my heart to become a part of your family in a meaningful and active way. I do have a few prayer requests today. One is for Richard C. who called in on the 27th about a very hard and what seems like a very difficult relationship with his foster kids right now. I know that I'm speaking for many people who have their hearts going out to you and Richard, I really hope that you embrace God's timing and know that he is there walking with you in lock step. I pray that you find his peace in this situation and that you know that his wisdom and healing will happen in his time. I also wanted to pray for a grandmother who is having trouble with addiction and many broken relationships with her children. The situation is not good and I really do hope that you’ll pray with me about that. Lastly, I know that I'm past my time, but I would like to ask that you pray for my walk with the Lord and becoming part of the Daily Audio Bible family and other families within the faith. Being a part of a Christian community is difficult for me for some reason and I have…

__________ Daily Audio Bible family. This is Scott from Carolina. It is September 29th. I just heard a call from a mom in Tampa whose daughter, I think Rachel, is taking the Japanese fluency test. I want to just lift up a prayer for her and also to ask for prayer for my son Zach who is going to be in Atlanta on December 6th to take the Japanese fluency test also. Small world it is. Let's pray for our kids. And let's love them and ask that God just has his way in their lives. I love you all. Take care. Bye.
