Jeremiah 10:1-11:23 ~ Colossians 3:18-4:18 ~ Psalm 78:56-72 ~ Proverbs 24:28-29
Today is October 8th. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and I am happy to be here with you today for another step forward in our adventures through the scriptures this year. Let’s see, this week we’re reading from the Holman Christian Standard Bible and we find ourselves squarely in the book of Jeremiah from our Old Testament reading.

Prayer

Father, once again we are humbled and deeply grateful for your Word, the story of how deeply involved in the dealings of mankind you are and desire to be. We can see clearly where the paths we choose lead us because of your Word, and we can see clearly what life looks like when we’re trying to manage things, including our relationship with you, on our own terms. We thank you for the gift of your Word that leads us and guides us, that orients us to you, and we invite your Holy Spirit to plant these things deep in our lives, at the core of our identity, changing us from the inside out. We ask this in Jesus’ name and give thanks in the name of the Risen Christ. Amen.

Announcements

Www.DailyAudioBible.com is the website, it is home base. It is certainly where you find out what’s going on around here. It has been a Reframe season, but that is for good cause. That is for good cause because Reframe, well, reframing changes everything.

Tonight will be our first small group. It is a large small group, but it will be intimate and be like the Daily Audio Bible. Right? We’re a large community of people who feel very present to each other and very small and intimate even though we’re wrapped all the way around the world. We’re together in this, marching through, and we have a kinship with one another because we’re the family of Christ. This is our family. This is community. We’ll do this Reframe tonight, 7:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. You can do the math wherever you are in the world. Spend a little time diving into Reframe.

The way to watch that is to have the Periscope app. If you don’t have it yet, just grab it. It is pretty easy enough to do. If you have an Android or an Apple device, just look in the app store for Periscope. It is free. Download it and then once you have it installed and turned on and everything, search for Daily Audio Bible. Follow Daily Audio Bible. Bam! Done deal. When we go live, you will get a little chirping sound that we’re live. You can tune in. That will be at 7:30 p.m. Central Standard Time tonight. We’ll get started.

Then there is a Facebook discussion group, so when we’re done talking, I’ll go over there for a while and we’ll continue the discussion and commenting. That is found at www.Facebook.com/Groups/ReframeBook. Be sure to join the group. We’ll have some fun tonight, looking forward to it.
This Sunday is the first Reframe Tour stop after the official book release, so we’re underway. We’ll do six straight weekends at different locations in the country. This one is in my home backyard, in my own neck of the woods. So Nashville, I would love to see you. Come out. I’ll be speaking at SouthView Church here in Spring Hill, TN. Www.SouthView.cc is their website so you can get their address and stuff. The service begins at 10 a.m. Looking forward to that.

Next week, the 18th, we’ll be in Charleston, SC, at Daniel Island Fellowship. Www.DanielIslandFellowship.org is their website so you can get the information, address and stuff that you need.

The 25th of October I will be all the way out west, in the Pacific Northwest, in Richland, WA, at Columbia Christian Church.

Then November 1st we will make a stop in Louisville, KY, at New Song Christian Fellowship.

On the 8th of November, we will make our way down to Chattanooga, TN.

Then on the 15th of November, we will be in San Diego, in the San Diego area. More information to follow. You can find this information at www.DailyAudioBible.com. I'm looking forward to seeing you out on the road for these six tour weeks before we break for the holidays. I'm looking forward to seeing you.

We have also released the Reframe Films which is geared toward a small group study, Sunday School, but definitely something incredibly valuable to do alone or just with a spouse or a small group of friends. We are doing everything we can to encourage people to get together and talk through this. The one thing I don’t want to happen is that you read Reframe and that it has an impact, but then it begins to fade as something that was like a good moment. Right? With some good principles and tips or whatever, when that is not what it is supposed to be. It is supposed to reframe our relationship with God in such a way that it is irreversibly changed.

A lot of times we have to till the soil, we have to nurture. That often happens with interaction with other people moving through the same material, bouncing things. So we’ve spent a lot of time and worked really incredibly hard on the Reframe Films which is a series of five short films. They are dramatic. They are cinematic where I'm teaching on something, but there is story going on and it is beautiful. We worked hard on it. That is available. You can order that at www.ReframeBook.com, but there is a way you can get it free. If you are willing to grab seven copies of Reframe to distribute to your friends and go through this together or just to give to people that you love, that you can bounce this off of, we’ll send the DVD to you free. No postage, no nothing. We’ll send the package. It has a leader's guide, everything. We’ll send it to you and then give you access to download the films as well so you can get started right away. If you grab 10 or more copies of Reframe from you local book store, Barnes & Noble, wherever or from one of the retailers that are at www.ReframeBook.com, we’ll send you the DVD, but we’ll also throw in another copy of Reframe. It is just this one is a signed first edition copy. So check that out at www.ReframeBook.com.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible in the collective mission that we share in building community centered around the rhythm of the scripture every day in our lives and to provide that every single day fresh to anyone in this world who will listen to it, if that has been life-giving to you, then thank you for being life-giving back to it. There is a link, upper right-hand corner of www.DailyAudioBible.com. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN, 37174.

And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

And that’s it for today. I’m Brian. I love you. I’ll be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports

Hi. It is __________ from __________, FL. I'm calling today for a prayer request. If you guys could lift up the ship named El Faro. It was carrying 33 crewmembers and as of last Thursday, I don’t know why they went out in the midst of a storm, they have been missing. People that are looking for them suspect that the ship went down and they are focusing on finding survivors. May God watch over the families and those merchant mariners. Thank you.

Hey guys, how you doing? It is John. Been a long time since I’ve called in. I just wanted to touch base with a huge thank you and a praise report. But first off, thank you, Brian and Jill and the entire family, all the prayer warriors who just keep lifting everybody up. I'm glad to see that the prayer warrior team is growing. I'm really inspired by Nathan and some of the new folks that come on who enforce the standing army, God's army who have been there, from Biola to Blind Tony to Alpha Foxtrot to you name it, Joe the Protector, always there to look out for us and continue to watch over us and help lift us up even when we don’t call. I know they are all praying. Anyway, for my praise report and great thanks, I called a couple years ago about my son who was really having challenges with drugs, alcohol, a job and everything else. I just got off the phone with him a little while ago and he is a totally new person. He has found a job. He is positive. He is fearless and he is doing really well. Prayer does work. Our prayers, it is just phenomenal. You gotta believe. You can’t give up. God will never give you anything that he won't help you handle. That is just the way it works. Stay strong. Stay committed. Stay in the fight. Keep the faith. We shall persevere and get our ticket to higher ground. Anyway, God bless you all. Love you all. I’ll talk to you soon, I hope, with more. God bless.

Hi, my name is Susan. I live in New Jersey. Long time listener to the DAB. I’ve only called maybe once before. I just called in to say that I enjoy hearing everyone's calls every day. I __________ all. There are days when I miss listening to the DAB for whatever reason. I get busy. I have small kids. I end up forgetting to turn it on then the days that I listen, after a few days of not, such a blessing it is to remind me how amazing this is to have this family and to have these people who are all around the world listening to the same message and hearing the Word of God together. It is very, very touching. Very moving. I thank you all for being there. I pray for you all every day. Thank you, Brian. Thank you, Jill. God bless you and your kids. I'm just very blessed to have discovered Daily Audio Bible. Thanks very much. God bless. Bye.

Hey Dabbers. This is Slave of Jesus in North Carolina. Holy Spirit, let's roll! Lord, we are praying for Rob S., the worship dude. __________ for our volunteers, but we are praying for his friend Jon's liver cancer. We are praying that God uses this in some amazing way, in a good way. He can turn anything bad into something good. Speaking of that, Byron, we’re praying for your wife and her kidney stone. We ask you to turn this into something that can be used for good, something that can be used for your glory. Lord, we pray over the husband who is dealing with anger, Dabber husband named Paul R. Lord, we ask you to teach him that God does not want angry __________. We ask you to teach him a scripture like James 1:9, if he is a believing man, that he can take James 1:9, he can bring it into his soul and he can learn how to speak the scriptures __________. We are praying for James in Little Rock. Lord, we ask you to put James back on top of the mountain where he belongs, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Brian, I pray… I got the Reframe book. I don’t know when I'm going to have time to read it, but God will make time for me as long as I keep praying with it and doing that. Speaking of that, Alex the seeker, we are praying for __________ for you. We are praying that you turn this into something. We ask you to bring this opportunity to bring Alex closer to you and maybe show him a miracle, that he is no longer a seeker, he is a hardcore Jesus freak. Alright, in Jesus’ name, amen. Scottish Tom, God put it on my heart today. There is something called The Daily Prayer. If you have the app, you can go to the Media thing. I pray that thing every day. It changed my whole life. We have had a ton of people call and so for you, I don’t know, maybe I got this wrong, there is another prayer __________ called St. Patrick's Breastplate Prayer. I do it every once in a while when I just don’t feel like doing The Daily Prayer. That is a neat prayer. Think about it. Play it and see how it prays and see how it fits your connection with God. Love you all. Have a great day. If you could pray for me, I'm getting ready to lead a men's group. I know the enemy is going to come against me on that. Out.

Hi everybody. This is Norma calling from Southern California. I had called in a few weeks ago regarding my husband, Carl, and his liver, the mass that they found. I'm calling in with a praise report. It was benign. The mass is benign. Thank you, Jesus. I just want to say thank you, everybody, for calling in and just praying for my family out here. It just amazed me to hear you on the community line, just how you guys cared about my family and you don’t even know me. You mentioned us around the world. It is just such an amazing, amazing community that we have, that we can just put that out there and you show up. Like I said in my first call, you just show up and that is what we need. I just want to encourage anybody out there that has any turmoil or anything that they are going through, just call in and release it. If I can do it and let it go, my gosh, anybody can because I hold onto these things. I found so much comfort and security in knowing that people where praying for me. So I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. Have a great day. Thanks.

Yes, hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is Meg calling from Rhode Island. I don’t know, I'm just feeling kind of blue. My daughter moved out. I'm really happy for her, but I miss her. I'm my mom's caregiver and I live with her. She is dying. Hospice is coming to take care of her and she is peaceful and she is happy. My ex-husband was telling me about his new girlfriend and I was happy for him too, but I don’t know, just feeling kind of alone. I heard Brian talking about Christ and how Christ is everything. Christ has to be everything. I really want that. I want Christ to be everything in my life until Christ sees that I'm ready for other things. So I guess I'm just calling, I know I'm sad, but I'm happy that I have Christ. I want to be in love with him more than I want anything else in the world. So thank you. Thank you, Brian. Thanks for the reminder. Thank you, everybody.
