Anxiety and depression

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
The reason I'm writing to you is to invite you to join us in prayer for my son Matthieu.
Many of you have already joined us in prayer and we are very thankful for your support. May God bless you richly! Matthieu has been battling for the last 9 months with a very severe form of OCD -- anxiety disorder of the brain. Despite all the efforts put in place: medication, excellent care, his cooperation to treatment, our prayers, Matthieu continues to have a pattern of thinking that creates such an anxiety in him that puts his life at risk. He stops eating and drinking and at times he has hard time swallowing. His overall health is at risk, and, he is only 15. To ease his anxiety his providers asked us to be with him before he goes to bed. I invite you to pray that Matthieu gives his life to Jesus and that he throws that tormenting pattern of thinking to the foot of the cross. I firmly believe that when people accept their limitations God shows himself powerful, and who knows if Matthieu will not be used by God to address the problem of many young people in this country -- anxiety....
We put Matthieu in God's hand and we believe he answers our prayers at the moment he chooses.

Hi Claudia, my name is Sharon and my heart breaks just reading your post. I have children myself though now grown and gone I remember the times when one of them would be going through a health issue and feeling helpless wishing it were me instead of them. My I suggest if you are not already doing so to Plead The Blood of Jesus over your son every time those anxious thoughts manifest itself and your home as well. Psalm 51 is a good place to start and read it out loud then Psalm 91, Isaiah 54:17, you get what I mean. Pray the Scriptures over your son Matthew and don't stop even when it seem it's not working. Depression has plagued me years and even more worse lately since I got laid off after 18 years of gainful employment. It's been a struggle but I find once I play the Scriptures even while I'm sleeping I am more at ease and the thoughts that beat me down become less of an affect on how I feel about my self. So LORD, I come before You on behalf of Your child Claudia and her son Matthew, first of all to give You all the honor and praise that is due You alone for You are worthy to be praised. Father forgive us for all our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Thank You for Your unfailing mercies and grace. Thank You that the precious blood of Your Son Jesus has made us whole and worthy enough to come boldly to Your throne of grace to ask You to lay Your hands on Matthew and make him whole again. Your word says that we should not be anxious for nothing but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let our requests be known and the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard our hearts and mind in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:6-7) So we are asking for a mind of peace Lord, free from all anxiousness. You said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you." (Luke 17:6) and again else where You said, "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14;13) And so LORD, we come to You with our mustard seed sized faith to say to these unclean spirits that are keeping Matthew bound, No, we Command that these spirits by the authority given to the servants of the LORD to release Matthew from their debilitating stronghold IN THE NAME OF JESUS! LORD, we ask that You command Your warring angels to come and help Claudia and Matthew fight against these destructive and mentally debilitating spirits and find relief. LORD, All honor and glory are Yours and we thank You in advance for abundant mercies and wonderful grace. We pray all this in JESUS' wonderful name, AMEN! I feel for you - I have a son with Aspergers (9 years old) and sometimes he gets into difficulties and as parents we get deeply affected by that because we hate to see them suffer. Praying in agreement.

Father, thank You for Matthieu and this life you have given him. Thank You for his parents. I ask that You would give Matthieu ears to Your voice. Let Him know the Truth. Holy Spirit, draw Matthieu to You and give him the faith to believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life that he needs. Thank you for the care he is receiving, but now I ask for his spiritual care. Let Your Word wash over him and renew his mind. Let him choose to set his mind on You. Set him free from this bondage. You can do ALL things! Our hope is in You all day long! We look to You. You are our God- mighty, strong, powerful, full of grace and mercy, loving, kind and always caring about every detail of our lives. You are amazing!!! I thank You for saving Matthieu and for giving him a testimony to help others, just like his mother said. You are able. To you be the glory now and forever!!! Thank You Jesus! I ask all this in Jesus' name. Amen and Amen!
