Jeremiah 33:1-34:22 ~ 1 Timothy 4:1-16 ~ Psalm 89:1-13 ~ Proverbs 25:23-24
Today is the 19th of October. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian and what a pleasure it is to be here with you today. Great time yesterday in South Carolina. Enjoyed it. Thank you for coming out to Reframe. We had a blast. Very much enjoying seeing everyone and sharing from my heart about this. But there is nothing that I love more than sharing the scriptures. That is what we’ve come here to do today. We’re reading from the Modern English Version this week.

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for your Word. Thank you, Father, for your love. Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice. We welcome your Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth, deeper into relationship with you. We thank you for the counsel of the scriptures as we read in the letter from the apostle Paul the his protégé Timothy and through that letter into our own lives that we might consider when we are being examples to the believers in our speech, in our conduct, in our love, in spirit, in faith and in purity. We invite you, Holy Spirit, to speak to those things. Show us the areas in our lives where we haven’t been that example and also show us the areas in our lives where we are doing well. We continue to invite the process of sanctification, that transformation, that being made new, that being remade into your image. We need it. We need today to be better than yesterday and tomorrow to be better than today as we move through that continual process of being transformed from who we are now into who we will be when we are perfected in you. So come, Holy Spirit, we invite you fully. We need you fully in all of these areas in all of our lives. We praise your holy name. We love you. We submit ourselves to you fully and invite you completely. Come Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re back in the rolling hills of Tennessee and looking forward to this week. This Thursday will be our third Periscope on Reframe. We had a fun time last week trying to do it from the road, but it was a good time. Looking forward to this week. That is 7:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. If you don’t have Periscope, just download the app. Just search for Periscope on your iOS or Android device. It is free. Just get it, load it, search for Daily Audio Bible, follow Daily Audio Bible and then when we go live you will be alerted.

Coming up this weekend, this coming Sunday, I will be far out on the West Coast in the Pacific Northwest of the United States in the Tri-Cities of Washington, Richland, WA to be specific and I think I’ve been saying Columbia Christian Church and I was corrected. I got an email that corrected me. Columbia Community Church - I know it as C3 because that is what they call it. Columbia Community Church in Richland, WA, their website is www.Familyfaith.com and you can get their address and service times. They have several services and I’ll look forward to seeing you on the West Coast this coming weekend as we bring Reframe for the first time to the West Coast. I'm looking forward to that.

The weekend after that is November 1st. We will be reframing Louisville, KY at New Song Christian Fellowship and their website is www.NewsongLouisville.org, so you can get information there. November 8th we will find ourselves in Chattanooga, TN at Mission Chattanooga. They have several services. Www.MissionChattanooga.org. Looking forward to seeing you. Then on the 15th we will conclude this six-week run and that will take place in the San Diego area at La Jolla Christian Fellowship. So looking forward to being there.

We have released the Reframe Films – five films that take the message deeper and are very poignant for group discussion or just personal reflection. You can get those at www.ReframeBook.com. If you are willing to give away Reframe or form a group so you can talk through it, it is wonderful to wrestle through your own story in relation to God and how you have considered your relationship with God, it is wonderful to do it among friends. If you’ll get seven copies of Reframe, we will send you the DVD for free and give you a code so you can download the films for free. If you get 10 or more of Reframe, we’ll also send you an additional Reframe, but this one is a little special. It is a signed first edition copy and you can get those at www.ReframeBook.com, any of the retailers there. All you have to do is forward the receipt to Reframe@DailyAudioBible.com and we will get you hooked up.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible in our community, in the family that we are, in the mission that we have to bring the spoken Word of God to anyone who will listen to it, anywhere on this planet, any time of day or night and, like I said, to build community around that rhythm so that we all know no one is alone, we are in this together, you can do that at www.DailyAudioBible.com. There is a link in the upper right corner of the home page and I thank you profoundly for clicking that link. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

As always, if you have a prayer request or comment, (877) 942-4253 is the number to call.

That’s it for today. I’m Brian. I love you. I’ll be waiting for you here tomorrow.

Community Prayers and Praise Reports

Hi guys. I know I probably haven’t called in a while, maybe a week or so, but I wanted to give a little shout-out and also thanks to I believe his name was Chris, but I didn’t catch his last name, and I believe he was from Petersburg, VA. But anyway, Chris, if that is your name. I'm sorry if I got it wrong or anything, but thank you for your word at the end of the podcast because I have been going through some things and I probably haven’t shared this with anyone, but I'm actually 19 years old and I do suffer sometimes, probably more than other people with anxiety and depression and just going on trying to get through life. But thank you for your words because they deeply encouraged me very much. Thank you. Keep being an encouragement to people. Bye-bye.

Hello everyone, my DAB family. This is Blessed Like Me coming with a conclusion to my story that I had of my life. Well, I was telling you that my aunt called and she was having a Bible study. I was living with my grandma because I gotten into some big, big trouble and I got my house taken away from me. I was awaiting a court date and I had to stay with my grandma and I was still doing my drinking and still dong my smoking cigarettes. I was done with drugs by that time because of no choice. That when my aunt called and she was calling to tell my grandmother to come to the Bible study that they were having up the road. I remember I asked her what she was studying. She told me and I went and looked it up and God said ‘who am I to you?’ and that just touched my heart and it just broke me down so much. It just changed me all of a sudden. Boom! It hit me. The reality God is my everything. He's my all. In between that time I went for my court date and went and did a whole lot of time away from home. Everything went well. Everything went well inside because I got closer to God. I got closer to just loving and being able to learn more of who God was to me. I got out and got me a job, got me a house. God restored everything twofold. God restored everything twofold. My heart was renewed and restored. Just to let anybody know that has a child or anybody going through a drug situation, know that God can and will do it. You just got to believe. You got to trust him. Oh, my mother was a praying mother and when she let go, she said she was letting go of me and she gave me to God, that was when God was able to start doing his thing. So parents out there with kids with drug problems, just keep your prayers up. Keep believing and know that God can and will do it. Thanks, Brian and Jill, for this ministry; Blind Tony, you're a blessing to us; and I just thank you all. Love you.

Hi family. Pastor Gene. God bless you. Let's pray. Father, I pray for my brother, Mr. S. from Las Vegas. I'm sorry that he is separated from his wife and he is going through a very fierce custody battle. Father, I'm sad to hear about the death of his ex-wife in a car accident and how hard this has been on him and his family. Father, he is filing for full custody and it is only obvious with him being the dad. I pray in the name of Jesus that you will open doors and that you will be close to my brother as he goes through what seems to be a multilayered trauma. Father, be with my brother and let him know that you love him. Father, I pray for my sister Kathleen from Pennsylvania. I ask that you will bless her as she imparts knowledge to others. I pray that you will strengthen her to do what you have called her to do. God, please look upon my sister Walta. I am asking you, Lord, to do justice for her. I am asking you to open doors that seem shut right now and for you to give her the vehicle that she needs. I bless my sister Candace from Oregon. I bless her adult child. I pray that your grace and your favor will surround him and strengthen his path to be all that you have created him to be. I pray for young Christine, Father. I pray against all those insecurities and I'm asking you for a godly flesh and bone friend who will encourage her and pray with her. Father, I pray for my sister Jodie from North Carolina. My heart is broken when I hear that her husband was soliciting a prostitute and that he has molested and disrespected her and her children. Father, I pray that you will give my sister peace about the steps that she is taking, that you will give her strength to stand up on her feet, knowing that you are with her. I pray for my sister Susie from Addington. She is the daughter of my sister, Mrs. A. I pray that you will help Susie recover from surgery and that you will…

Hello family. It is Jackie calling from Vancouver, BC. I hope you're all doing well. I am calling because I need prayers. Please pray for me. I’ve been posting on Facebook so some of you may have seen I'm having issues at work and just today I feel like I'm at the bottom. I just need prayers. So please, can you lift me up for a new position? I just feel like where I am it has come to an end and I'm waiting for a new opportunity to come along. It feels like the wait is too long. So if you could just pray for me for that, it would be really, really, really appreciated. I know God works outside of time, so whenever you hear this, some of you could just join your faith with mine on this request to our God and I think that will be great. Blessed Like Me, I love you. You are awesome. I love hearing every time you call. And the lady from Virginia who sings, I sing along with you. Everyone who calls and sings, just thank you. God bless you so much. I sing and praise with you. Pastor Gene, I am so happy for those in your life, your __________. I love you. I pray for you all constantly. I listen every day. God bless you. I will call again back soon. Thank you. Bye.

Hey, g’day Dabbers. Richard C. here from Albury-Wodonga. I just wanted to call in and thank everybody for praying for me and my wife, Nicole, and our situation where five of our eight children have been taken from us because they are part of the foster caring system here in Australia, or across New South Wales in Victoria. Just I suppose an update and a thank you to those who have been praying and the encouraging words that I’ve heard throughout this time. We are no closer. In fact, I feel like we’re probably as far away from being able to get the boys back as humanly possible, but today is the day where Brian was talking about the scripture, the popular verse of scripture in Jeremiah where ‘I have plans to prosper you and not harm you.’ It was wonderful. Thank you, Brian, for putting that verse in its place so that we don’t misquote it and misuse it. Some of the attitudes that you were talking about, Brian, where we grab verses of scripture and we use them against God, we stand on them because that is God's Word, but then we actually point our finger at God and say ‘you said!’ - I'm guilty of that. I'm guilty of that. I'm humbled by it, I suppose. I'm sitting here looking at me empty house while my wife, has gone to visit the boys. I haven’t seen them for nine weeks. She gets to see them every second week now. I'm just praying that people will see our hearts and see who we are. So thank you for praying for the situation and for continuing to pray.
